Apps VelocityOne Flight Recovery Tool Control Center App
Please note, this process only applies to mass production hardware that is unable to exit Update Mode. For example, if you attempt an update via the Control Center app, and there is an issue, and the app no longer detects the product, this recovery tool will restore firmware build 1.1.0.
You will need
- PC running Windows 10/11 with all critical updates installed.
- VelocityOne Flight Recovery Tool V1.1.0 (unzipped).
- VelocityOne Flight
- VelocityOne Flight USB connection cables.
Recovery Process
This process assumes the quadrant is connected to the yoke base using the blue cable, and when the red cable is connected to the host (console/PC), the screen will only say ‘UPDATE MODE’.
- Connect the Quadrant to the Yoke, then connect the Yoke to the Windows PC.
- On your PC, you may need to go to Settings > Update & Security > For developers and enable Developer Mode. You can turn this off once you are finished with the recovery tool.
- Unzip VelocityOne Flight Recovery Tool V1.1.0 and open the folder.
- Right-click the Install.ps1 file and select Run with PowerShell.
- A blue window will appear asking to proceed with the execution policy. Press ‘Y’ on your keyboard and press the Enter Key.
- A blue window will appear asking you to install a certificate. Press ‘Y’ on your keyboard and press the Enter Key.
- If you are prompted to install the app again, press ‘Y’ on your keyboard and press the Enter key.
- The app will install, and a completion message will be shown. Press Enter to continue.
- Click the Start button in Windows, locate the Recovery Tool, and open it.
- Click the Update button. The progress bar will start to fill.
- The process will take approx. 7 minutes. During this time, please make sure not to click off the app or minimize it. Keep it as the active window in focus on your machine. If you click off the recovery window, you will need to restart the update process.
- After the update, the product will reboot into standard operating mode.
- The product is now ready to use.
