HACH LBOD101 Portable Meter Kit
Product Information
The LBOD101 probe is a luminescent dissolved oxygen (LDO) sensor with integrated stirring system. It is designed for measuring the dissolved oxygen in various samples. The probe does not require an iButton for calibration, as the calibration data is pre-installed at the factory. The probe comes with a 1-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects.
- Operating Temperature: 0°C to 10°C
- Measurement Range: 0.05 to 20.0 mg/L (ppm), 1 to 200% saturation
- Accuracy: Greater than 10 mg/L
- Storage: Do not submerge the pressure sensor module.
- Calibration: Allow approximately 10 minutes for the contents to adjust to ambient temperature.
- Compatible Accessories: Compatible meter, timer, BOD bottles, DI water, lint-free cloth.
- Chemical Exposure Hazard: Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Refer to safety data sheets for safety protocols.
Product Usage Instructions
- Connect the LBOD101 probe to a compatible meter.
- Ensure that there are no entrapped bubbles in the sample before measurement.
- Allow approximately 10 minutes for the probe contents to adjust to the ambient temperature before calibration.
- Follow the calibration instructions provided in the user manual available on the manufacturer’s website.
- Store the probe by avoiding submerging the pressure sensor module.
- When using the probe, make sure to use compatible accessories such as a timer, BOD bottles, DI water, and a lint-free cloth.
- Take necessary precautions for chemical exposure and refer to safety data sheets for safety protocols.
Introduction
The probe is a luminescent dissolved oxygen (LDO) sensor with integrated
stirring system. It measures the dissolved oxygen for BOD (Biochemical Oxygen
Demand) determination.
Warning
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of
the personal protective equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are
handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets (MSDS/SDS) for safety
protocols.
User manual
A user manual with all instructions is on the manufacturer’s website.
Collect the following items:
Compatible meter; timer; BOD bottles; DI water; lint-free cloth.
Connect the probe
Calibration
Note:
Wait approximately 10 minutes for the contents to adjust to ambient
temperature.
Measurement
- Make sure that there are no entrapped bubbles in the sample.
- Do not submerge the pressure sensor module.
Storage
Technical information
- Dissolved oxygen range 0.05 to 20.0 mg/L (ppm) 1 to 200% saturation
- Dissolved oxygen accuracy ±0.05 mg/L for 0.0 to 10 mg/L ±0.1 mg/L for greater than 10 mg/L
- Operating temperature 0 to 50 °C (32 to 122 °F)
- Minimum sample depth 10 mm (0.394 in.)
Warranty
1 year on the probe. This warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not
improper use or wear.
Note:
An iButton is no longer supplied with the probe. It is not necessary for new
probes to have an iButton, because the calibration data is installed on the
probe at the factory.
