How to use FTP Service?
It is suitable for: A2004NS, A5004NS , A6004NS
Application introduction: File server can be build quickly and easily via the USB port applications so that file upload and download can be more flexible. This guide introduces how to configure FTP service via the router.
STEP-1:
Stores the resource you want to share with others into the USB flash disk or hard drive before you plug it into the USB port of the router.
STEP-2:
Connect your computer to the router by cable or wireless, then login the router by entering http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your browser.
Note:The default access address differs by model. Please find it on the bottom label of the product.
STEP-3:
3-1. Click Device Mgmt on the sidebar
3-2. The Device Mgmt interface will show you the status and the storage information (file system, free space and total size of the device) about the USB device. Please make sure that the status is connected and the USB led indicator is lighting.
STEP-4: Enable FTP Service from the Web interface.
4-1. Click Service Setup on the sidebar.
4-2. Click Start to enable FTP service and enter the other parameters refer to the introductions below.
FTP Port: enter the FTP port number to use, the default is 21.
Character Set: setup the unicode transformation format, the default is UTF-8.
User ID & Password: provide the User ID & Password for verifying while enter the FTP server.
STEP-5: Connect to the router by wire or wireless.
STEP-6: Enter ftp://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of My Computer or the web browser.
STEP-7: Enter the User name and password that you have set before, and then click Log On.
STEP-8: You can visit the data in the USB device now.
