Product Name: MDT-tex TYPE AV Umbrella

Safety Instructions
Before using the umbrella, please read and follow these safety
instructions:
- Ensure that the safety bolt is properly installed in the designated hole in the umbrella mast. Do not use the umbrella without the safety bolt.
- Keep a distance of at least 10cm between each fully opened umbrella.
- Refer to the provided table for the corresponding distance between ground anchors.
Installation Instructions
To install the umbrella, follow these steps:
- Attach the base plate of the hinged adapter to the built-in part using the provided screws.
- Stand the umbrella up by adjusting the hinged adapter to a vertical position and securing it with screws.
- Slightly move the struts outwards to open the umbrella.
- Insert the crank handle into the umbrella mast and turn it in a clockwise direction to open the umbrella.
- To close the umbrella, insert the crank handle and turn it counterclockwise. If necessary, direct the ribs to the pole by hand. Pull the fabric out from between the spokes, tightly wrap it around the umbrella, and secure it with the strap.

ACCESSORIES
Safety Instruction:
The MDT-umbrella Type AV is good for windy conditions up to 60 km/h (7
Beaufort), but it may only be set up with bases which are recommended by MDT.
In case of upcoming wind, the umbrella must be closed and fixed with the
ribbon immediately. The umbrella must be always opened to its final position,
otherwise waterskins can arise if it is raining. In addition to this the
umbrella should not be uncontrollable open if it is raining. The uper water
drainage has to be cleaned regularly. MDT does not assume liability for any
damages causes by the use of the umbrella contrary the instruction manual.
Installation Instruction:
The distance between each umbrella in fully opened condition should be at
least 10 cm. The corresponding distance between the ground ankers, please find
in the overview. In case, after mounting the safety pin does not fit in the
hole, which was designed for it in the mast, anymore, it can be drilled again
by hand. Please never use the umbrellas without the safety pin!

HINGED ADAPTER AT BUILT-IN PART
Please pay attention at the adjustment of the parasol. The sides are arranged
in an angle of 45° in contrast to the edge of the adapter plate.
Base plate of the hinged adapter with 2 screws (A) on the built-in part into
position, please use the further inward opposite holes in the hinges adapter
Standing the umbrella up
Hinged adapter in the vertical position with the screws (B), please use all the holes.
HINGED ADAPTER AT FRAME BASE
Slide paving stones into mobile base
Secure hinged adapter to mobile base with 2 set screws (A), please use the further inward opposite holes in the frame base.
Raise adapter to upright position and secure to base with screws (B) (C). It
must be used all the holes.
Orientation in 45 °
- OPEN THE RIBBON
- SLIGHTLY MOVE STRUTS OUTWARDS.

INSERT THE CRANK HANDLE AND TURN IT IN CLOCKWISE DIRECTION.

COMPLETELY OPEN THE UM-BRELLA. BE CAREFULLY DO NOT OVERCRANK

REMOVE THE CRANK HANDLE

CLOSING OF THE UMBRELLA
Insert the crank and turn it counterclockwise; if nescessary, direkt the ribs to the pole by hand (1). Pull fabric out from in between spokes, tightly warp fabrice around the umbrella and secure it again with the strap (2/3). The fabric must not flutter in the wind.
WE RECOMMAND
Cover-Protection:
At night, pull a protection cover over the umbrellas to protect it from strong
winds and dirt.
Litter removal:
Remove leaves from the cover, because leaf pigments that migrate into the
coating and fiber, can hardly be removed.
Cleaning / Washing:
The PTFE is self-cleaning, if it comes to light soiling, these can be removed
with a sponge and water.
Mesh-Gewebe
First of all try to clean the cover with a soft and wet cloth in order to
remove the dirt. If that does not help, the cover can be cleaned by an
industrial washing machi-ne. Please note: Remove the upper hooks and bind it
together with a cable connec-tor. The covers can be put lose in the washing
machine without fixations.

max. 28 ° C – higher temperatures will destroy the cover
Drying
No machine drying.
-> Pull the membrane slightly moist on the rack,
to avoid creases and wrinkles.
