IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

⚠ WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury:

  • Shock Hazard. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
  • Never modify the product or any part of it. Damage or personal injury could result.
  • Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet.
  • Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces. The unit should be placed or mounted away from sinks and hot surface.
  • Do not operate outdoors.
  • This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
  • Plug the plug directly into an electrical outlet.
  • Use the plug only in a standard electrical outlet (720V/60Hz).
  • Do not leave appliance when plugged in.
  • Turn off the switch before unplugging.
  • Turn off the appliance if you need to remove.
  • Don’t burn yourself when removing the lid or steamed items.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not disassemble and repair the appliance by yourself, contact manufacturer when necessary.
  • The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. Do not put any flammable or explosive objects around the appliance in order to avoid danger.
  • Pull the plug out of the socket when not in use, avoid touching the water.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Turn off the appliance if you need to remove any items.
  • During the first use, there will be slight plastic odor after high temperature, it is normal phenomenon, please keep the room ventilated.
  • DO NOT plug in if switch is in ON position.
  • DO NOT blend for more than 30 seconds.
  • Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the blender is not running.
  • Always operate blender with cover in place.
  • Do not place on or near hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • This appliance generates very hot steam (700°C/272°F) in order to cook food.
  • Be cautious if warm liquid is poured into the water tank, a build-up can occur and steam can suddenly be ejected.
  • Keep a safe distance from the appliance while it is cooking.
  • Do not open the lid until the cooking cycle is finished (hot water projection hazard).
  • Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  • The mixing blades are extremely sharp. Handle carefully. Use special tool when removing or replacing mixing blade.
  • Bowl must be in place before replacing mixing blades.
  • Carefully follow the instructions for dismantling the mixing blade (cleaning).
  • Always close the mixing bowl lid (risk of cutting from the mixing blades).
  • Do not mix meat to avoid contaminating other ingredients.
  • Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
  • Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  • Do not allow children to use the blender without supervision.
  • Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
  • The appliance must not be immersed in water.
  • It is advised to wash the removable parts by hand: mixing bowl lid, mixing bowl, blade, steam basket etc. Dishwasher cleaning may cause parts to wear faster and affect their quality.
  • Avoid contacting moving parts. Do not attempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanisms.
  • The appliance is intended for processing small quantities of food for immediate consumption, and is especially recommended for preparing baby food. The appliance is not intended to prepare large quantities of food at one time.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

⚠ WARNING:

  • Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the switch invites accidents.
  • Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
  • Do not store or use the appliance near high temperature areas and keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Do not use an extension cord unless it is absolutely necessary. Use of improper extension cord could result in risk of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
  • An extension cord must have adequate wire size (A WG or American Wire Gauge) for safety. The smaller the gauge number of the wire, the greater the capacity of the cable, that is, 76 gauge has more capacity than 78 gauge. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. When using more than one extension to make up the total length, be sure each individual extension contains at least the minimum wire size. The following table shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The lower the gauge number, the heavier the cord.

  • Pour the steamed food into the bowl and test the food temperature for little baby to avoid burning.
  • Do not place any object on top of the product that might block the ventilation slots and result in excessive internal heat. Place the product in a position away from any heat source.
  • Do not operate the product if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way. Take it to an authorized service center.
  • Do not disassemble the product; take it to an authorized service center when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution or fire.
  • Disconnect the plug from the outlet before attempting any cleaning. This will reduce the risk of electric shock.

OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS

⚠ WARNING:

  • To avoid scaling, always use purified water or distilled water onto water tank for operation. When cleaning, as well as after every use, clean the heating plate and wipe dry with a soft damp cloth.
  • DO NOT use outlets above counters. Damage from cord to items in surrounding area could occur.
  • When any abnormality/failure occurs, stop using the product immediately and disconnect the power plug.
  • Keep device out of the reach of children and always lock the mixing bowl’s lid so that the blade are inaccessible.
  • This device is not designed to be used by people (including children)with reduce physical, sensory or mental capacities or people without experience or knowledge of the product.
  • Before use, always ensure that all the different parts of the device have been installed properly.
  • The blade must always be attached to the mixing bowl, both in cooking mode and in mixing mode. Never place the mixing bowl on the base without having fitted the mixing blade.
  • Handle hot parts with great care, be careful on the steam released from the mixing bowl and lid during cooking.
  • Use only water or distilled white vinegar (for descaling) in the heating water tank.
  • Unplug the device when finished using, cleaning, or handling the blade. DO NOT unplug by pulling on the cord.
  • Do not alter the plug in any way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
  • You can turn off the switch if you really want to swap the steam function while its work.
  • Do not open the mixing bowl lid or water tank cover when the device is working.
  • After finish the whole work, please open the mixing bowl carefully to avoid burning.
  • Bottom of water tank is hot during operation.
  • Always check the temperature of food before serving.
  • The appliance is equipped with a built-in safety lock. The appliance only functions if you have properly assembled all parts on the motor unit.
  • The appliance is equipped with overheat protection. The overheat protection automatically switches off the heating element when there is no water in the water tank, if the water runs out during use or run the blender more than 30 seconds.
  • Be careful not to get hurt when you take out the blade in the mixing bowl.

SET UP AND USE

⚠ WARNING:

  • Do not use mineral water in the water tank. Minerals in this type of water can cause scale to build up in the water tank.
  • Never put anything else than water in the water reservoir.
  • For hygiene reasons, wipe the water tank dry with a clean towel after using the appliance. Always unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning.

STEAMING

  1. Turn the mixing bowl and mixing bowl lid counterclokwise to put the food that are cut into small cubes in the steam basket.
  2. Check that the blade is correctly installed in the bottom of the mixing bowl and load the steam basket in the mixing bowl.
  3. Place the mixing bowl lid on the mixing bowl and turn it clockwise to fix it, make sure the mixing bowl is fixed and locked well on the housing.
  4. Turn the water tank cover anticlockwise, pour water into the water tank and turn the water tank cover clockwise. Max capacity of water is 230ml (max steaming process is approx. 25 to 30 mins).
  5. Plug the appliance into a suitable socket. Press the steam switch to start steaming.

NOTE: If you want to start the cooking cycle again, pour water to the water tank, lock the water tank cover and press the steam button.

⚠ WARNING: Be cautious if warm water is poured into water tank, a build up can occur and steam can suddenly be ejected.

MIXING

  1. Turn the mixing bowl and mixing bowl lid counterclokwise to check that the blade is correctly installed in the bottom of the mixing bowl and pour the food into mixing bowl.
  2. According to the desired consistency, water may be added to the mixing bowl before starting the cycle.
  3. Place the mixing bowl lid on the mixing bowl and turn it clockwise to fix it, make sure the mixing bowl is fixed and locked well on the housing.
  4. Plug in the appliance and turn the stirring knob to start mixing. Turn to anticlockwise for low speed or turn to clockwise for high speed mixing. (Max 30 seconds)
  5. Lift the mixing bowl and open the lid. Use the spatula to clear the food from the mixing bowl.

NOTE:

  • Do not empty out the preparation with a utensil which may damage the blade.
  • Please add some water to mix sweet potatoes.

Mixing

REHEATING AND DEFROSTING

  • The foods to be reheated or defrosted should be placed in the steam basket.
  • Pour water into the water tank according to the quantity to be reheated or defrosted then proceed with a cooking cycle.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

⚠ WARNING:

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow to cool before performing cleaning or maintenance.
  • Do not clean base under tap water or immerse base in water.
  • Do not use abrasives or solvents for cleaning.
  • Do not get in touch with the blade under any circumstances, or you will get hurt.
  • After each use, empty the water tank and keep it dry.
  • Clean the main body with a wet sponge.
  • Never fill the water tank with food or fruit juice, this would damage the water tank.
  • Never use a chemical descaling product or a coffee machine descaling product in the water tank.

DESCALING

⚠ WARNING: According to the tap water hardness, you may have to descale your appliance more frequently.

  1. To reduce lime scale build up, use pre-boiled or filtered water in your water tank.
  2. Unplug the appliance, descaling is done when the appliance is cool down.
  3. Pour a mixture of 40ml of tap water with 20ml of white vinegar into the water tank.
  4. Slightly warm it up for 20-30 seconds.
  5. Leave inside the unit until any lime scale has dissolved.
  6. Empty the contents of the water tank by tilting the appliance.

TROUBLESHOOTING
