Product Usage Instructions
-
Step 1: Lay the grass on a solid, well-drained and level surface
- If laying the grass on a hard surface, be aware that any patterns on the surface below may be visible on the grass.
- When installing on natural surfaces, use a well-compacted base of at least 10 cm graded aggregate or sand-cement mix. Make sure the surface is as smooth as possible to avoid imperfections affecting the final look. If installing on an area with natural turf or plants, remove them completely, apply weed killer, and cover the ground with a geotextile weed barrier to prevent future weed germination.
-
Step 2: Trim and fit joints for minimally-visible seams
Trim each joint edge by at least 2 tufting lines to eliminate imperfect tufts and achieve invisible joints. Fit the pieces together with edges a maximum of 4 mm apart to minimize visible seams. -
Step 3: Place joining band through the center of each seam and seal them together
Reopen joints and lay self-adhesive bands through the center of each. If using a regular band or tape, apply adhesive on the band. Apply pressure along the joints by walking on the sides and placing heavy objects on them. Allow the adhesive to bond for at least 24 hours. For turf installed over compacted soil, secure the turf with pins along the seams. -
Step 4: Adjust pieces to perimeters and secure them
Once all seams are secured, trim the outer edges of the grass to fit the perimeters. Curl the edges of the turf over to expose the backing and hand-cut the excess with a sharp blade, ensuring a true cut every few centimeters. Use proper adhesive to secure perimeters to hard flooring and pins to anchor them to a compacted soil base. -
Step 5: Brush the grass and optionally finish with silica sand infill
Infill the grass with rounded, washed, and clean 0.7 – 0.8 mm silica sand of at least 96% purity to enhance durability, especially with long pile surfaces. The sand infill improves resilience and extends the lifetime of the grass. It also retains moisture, contributing to cooling down the grass during hot summers. Brush the turf against the grain before starting and distribute the sand evenly in stages.

-
Step 1: Lay the grass on a solid, well-drained and level surface
- It may be laid on a wide variety of hard surfaces, but be aware that any patterns on the surface below may be visible on the surface of the grass.
- When installing on natural surfaces, use a well-compacted base of a minimum of 10 cm graded aggregate (e.g. limestone and soil) or sand-cement mix, making the surface as smooth as possible. Take into account that any bump or imperfection will affect the final look once the installation is completed.
Note: When installing on an area where natural turf or plants are growing, remove them completely, apply weed killer to the area, and follow Step 1-B) then cover the ground with a geotextile weed barrier to avoid future weed germination.
-
Step 2: Carefully trim and fit joints for minimally-visible seams
Trim each joint edge by at least 2 tufting lines, eliminating all imperfect tufts is necessary to get invisible joints. The more carefully you carry out this step, the more natural the result. Also check that the pieces fit perfectly together for the least visible seams. To achieve this, place edges a max of 4 mm apart.
-
Step 3: Place joining band through the center of each seam and seal them together
Reopen joints and lay the self-adhesive bands through the center of each. If you use a regular band or tape, apply adhesive on the band. Apply pressure by walking along the joints -only stepping on the sides- and putting heavy objects on them (e.g. 25 kg sandbags as shown in the drawing on page 1) and allow the adhesive to bond for at least 24h. If turf has been installed over compacted soil, securing the turf with pins over the substrate along the seams is a final expert touch. -
Step 4: Adjust pieces to perimeters and secure them
Once all seams are secured, trim the outer edges of the grass to fit the perimeters. Curl the edges of the turf over to expose the backing and hand-cut the surplus with a sharp blade from the back, checking whether your cut is true every few cm. Use a proper adhesive to secure perimeters to hard flooring, and pins to anchor them to a compacted soil base. -
Step 5: Brush the grass to raise the fibers and optionally finish with silica sand infill
Infill your grass with rounded, washed and clean 0.7 – 0.8 mm silica sand of at least a 96% purity to maximize durability, especially with long pile surfaces. The sand infill will improve the resilience of the grass blades and extend its lifetime. Also, the sand retains moisture, which in turn will contribute to cooling down the grass during hot summers. Brush the turf against the grain before starting, then distribute the sand evenly, applying it in stages.
