Product Information

The JP-DVF-PR is a video door station from the JP Series that comes with a built-in AC-PROX-1G proximity card reader. It is designed to connect directly to a JP-4MED master station using a 2-conductor wire. The card reader utilizes a standard Wiegand connection to connect to a compatible access control system.

Product Usage Instructions

To flush mount the JP-DVF-PR, recess the supplied back box into the wall. Then, attach the mounting bracket using the four provided bracket screws.

  • Back Box Dimensions: 10-1/2 H x 5-13/16 W x 2-5/16 D
  • JP-DVF-PR Dimensions: 11-11/16 H x 7 W x 2-1/16 D

For surface mounting, use the SBX-IDVFRA surface mount box. This box can be mounted to a standard single-gang box or any flat surface. To insert the transparent nameplates, remove the  vandal-resistant front panel from the flush mount back box. Peeloff the protected seals from both sides of the plate. Write in the desired text, leaving 1 inch of white space on the right side. Insert the nameplate into the opening.

Wiring
Refer to the provided wiring diagram for connecting the JP-DVF-PR to the JP-4MED master station and the access control host. For the card reader’s Wiegand connection, follow the specified conductor functions:

  • Red: 5 ~ 16V DC
  • Black: Ground
  • Green: Data 0
  • White: Data 1
  • Brown: Red LED
  • Orange: Green LED
  • Yellow: Card Present Beeper
  • Blue: flower
  • Violet: Shield Ground
  • Drain: For proper regulatory compliance, disconnect the drain wire at the power supply end of the cable
