• DID YOU KNOW?
Most modern routers are dual band meaning they support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels.
The most common wireless options are:

  • Mixed: The router will broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
simultaneously under the same SSID. The device will choose which to connect to based on multiple variables (congestion, distance to router etc.).

  • 2.4 GHz: Broadcast only on this channel.

  • 5 GHz: Broadcast only on this channel.

  • Dual 2.4 and 5 GHz using separate SSIDs: Router will broadcast both channels and user manually decides which to connect to.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS – MECHANICAL CHIME INSTALLATION

  1. First turn off the power breaker at your fuse box for your existing doorbell and mechanical chime. Ring your doorbell to confirm it is now off.

  2. Locate your mechanical chime, it is a rectangular box that produces sound when your doorbell is pressed. I may or may not be mounted immediately inside your front door. Once located, remove the cover so the chime’s wiring is exposed.

  3. Unscrew both the Trans and Front screw terminals.

  • Note that your chime labels are usually on or next to the wire connectors, but they can also be on the inside of the chime cover. 4. Take the included chime kit and attach the prong to the Transformer terminal {Trans). Connect the other prong to the Front terminal {Front). Either prong on the chime kit can be connected to either of the terminals on the chime. Screw both terminals ensuring the wires and prongs are secure.

    1. Using the included double-sided tape, find a space to place your  chime kit to your chime and replace the cover. If there is not enough room to mount inside, place the chime kit on the outside of the chime’s cover.

*Be careful not to interfere with any of the chime’s moving parts. The chime will not work or sound at all if there is interference.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS – WIRED INSTALLATION

BEFORE MOUNTING YOUR DOORBELL, ENSURE POWER GOING TO THE DOORBELL IS OFF

  • Remove your existing doorbell.
    The wiring must be exposed.

  • Use a pencil to mark where you will be drilling. The wires must come through the top half of the wall plate’s hole. If they don’t it will prevent the wall plate from mounting to the doorbell securely

  • If you want to change the angle of the Globe doorbell use the included wedge.
This can be useful if your doorbell is in a corner or close to a wall that blocks the camera’s view. You can flip the wedge for a reverse angle.
BEFORE MOUNTING YOUR DOORBELL, ENSURE POWER GOING TO THE DOORBELL IS

  • Use a 3/32″ drill bit to drill pilot holes in the desired location.

  • Ensure there are no pipes or wires in the mounting location
    • Insert the nail expansion screws if screwing into stone or other hard materials.

    • Align the bracket and secure with mounting screws.
    • Wire the doorbell and place in the bracket.
*Note: the wire location does not matter.
BEFORE MOUNTING YOUR DOORBELL, ENSURE POWER GOING TO THE DOORBELL IS

  • Install the doorbell into the bracket.
  • Tighten the screw.
  • Turn the power to the chime and doorbell back on.
