CURT 48011 Secure Latch Adjustable Pintle Mount
Product Information
The product is a pintle mount designed for towing purposes. It has a weight capacity of 20,000 lbs and is suitable for use with a gross trailer weight (GTW) of up to 20,000 lbs. The package includes the following parts:
- 1 Pintle mount
- 4 Carriage bolts, 1/2 x 2
- 2 Spacer plates
- 4 Top lock nuts, 1/2

Product Usage Instructions
Before you begin the installation, make sure to read all instructions thoroughly. Having the proper tools, such as a torque wrench and a socket size of 3/4, will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required. Follow the specified torque specifications when securing the hardware during the installation process to prevent damage to the product or vehicle.
Maintenance
Regularly inspect the unit for proper operation and check for any worn,
damaged, or missing parts. Replace any parts that are worn or damaged, or if
the wear exceeds 1/8 from the original surface. After the first 200 miles of
towing, and every 400 miles after that, check the hardware torque
specification.

Mounting a Pintle Hook or Hitch
- Insert the pintle mount shank into the receiver hitch. The shank can be used in either the rise or drop position.
- Secure the pintle mount with a 5/8 hitch pin or lock (not included).
- Attach your desired towing accessory using the provided hardware. Do not fully tighten.
- Adjust the attachment to the required towing height.
- Tighten all bolts to 90 ft. lbs using a torque wrench.
Note: Never exceed the rated capacity of the vehicle or the lowest rated towing component.

WARNING
- Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended towing capacity.
- Do not modify this mount in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the function and / or safety and could affect the life of the product and void the warranty.
- Maintain adequate vertical down (tongue) load to have control of the trailer (generally 10%), but do not exceed the specified rated capacities.
- Trailers and equipment are designed for on-road towing within the stated capacities. For off-road applications, reduce the capacities listed in the specifications table by 25%.
- Keep safety chains in place and in working order. Never operate the product without the safety chains attached to vehicle.
