INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the cap and take the PCB board out.

insertable Mac SSD into the PCB card slot, and fix it with a screw.
For general NVMe SSD, please insert the SSD adapter into the PCB card slot first, then insert the SSD. -
Attach the thermal pad on the top of the SSD.

Put the heat sink over the thermal pad.

Slide PCB into the enclosure until it lines up with the slot edge. The logo side of the enclosure should be upward.

Install the cap with screws, then start to use.
USING ORIGINAL APPLE MAC SSDS
Please make sure your Mac SSD meets the following requirements:
- SSD should be factory-installed by Apple Mac SSD.
- SSD pin layout should be 12+ 16
- Not support Toshiba SSD even if it is the original Apple SSD
USING GENERAL APPLE MAC SSDS
- Use the 55D adapter in the package
- Support M.2 NVME M KEY & B+M KEY SSD, and the max capacity is 2TB
Troubleshooting

Which kind of SSDs can be used?
- The factory-installed Apple SSD with 12+ 16 pins, does not support the Toshiba SSD.
- The general NVMe SSD needs to be used with the adapter in the package
- Not support SATA SSD.

The indicator is not on.
- Please confirm that the data cable has been firmly connected to the enclosure.
- Please try to use another data cable.

The indicator is on, but the enclosure does not work.

Check whether your PC has recognized the enclosure. (As Picture 1)

Check whether the computer recognizes SSD. (As Picture 2) If not, the SSD may be damaged or not compatible with MAC3W. Please try to use another SSD.

To use a brand-new SSD, it needs to be formatted first.

Confirm if the file system of SSD is supported by your computer OS.

Mac OS: ExFAT, APFS, or MacOS Extended NTFS,

Windows: ExFAT, NTFS
If not, please back up the data first then format the SSD. -
SSD keeps disconnected from macOS computers. Please deselect “Put hard disks to sleep when possible” both in the Battery and Power Adapter.
