This clock uses Emerson’s patented Smart Set® Automatic Time Setting System.
The first time you connect this clock to your AC outlet. and after every power
interruption , within seconds the clock will automatically set itself to the
correct Year, Month, Date, Day, and Time. In addition. all changes from
Standard Time to Daylight Saving Time. and back to Standard Time, a re made
automatically. T h e re are dual alarms that can be set and used
independently, and both of t he a larks can be programmed for everyday
operation, weekdays only, or weekends only. There is a long life lithium
battery installed in this clock when you buy it. This battery can maintain the
time and alarm settings for 1 to 2 years, or even longer. We have taken every
precaution to
make sure this c lock was in perfect working order when it lour factory. If
you encounter any problems with the set up or operation of this item. please

3 Preparation For Use
-
Remove the clock from the carton and remove all packing material from the clock. Save the packing material, if possible, in case the clock ever needs to beached or transported. The original carton and packing material Is the only Safeway to pack your clock to protect it from damage in transit.

Remove any descriptive labels, stickers or protective films on the front or top of the cabinet, if any.
Do not remove any labels or stickers from the back or bottom of the cabinet. -
Note the serial number on the bottom of your clock and write this number in the space provided on the Warranty page of this manual.

Place your clock on a level surface such as a table, desk or shelf, convenient to an AC outlet, out of direct sunlight, and away from sources of excess heat, dirt, dust, moisture, humidity, or vibration.

Unwind the antenna wire and extend it fully.
Protect Your Furniture
This model is equipped with non-skid rubber ‘leet’ loprevent the product from
moving when you operate the controls. These’leet’ are made from nonmigrating
rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on
your furniture. However certain types of oil based furniture polishes, wood
preservatives. Or cleaning sprays may cause the rubber ‘feet’ to soften, and
leave marks or a rubber residue on the furniture .To prevent any damage to
your furniture we strongly recommend that you purchase small sell adhesive
felt pads, available at hardware stores and home improvement centres
everywhere. And apply these pads to the bottom of the rubber’ leet’ before you
place the product on fine wooden furniture.
Power Source
This clock is designed to operate on normal 120V 60Hz AC power only. Do not
attempt to operate the clock on any other power source. You could cause damage
to the clock that is not covered by your warranty. This clock should be
connected to an AC outlet that is always ‘live’. Do not connect it nonoutlet
that is controlled by a wall switch. When the power to the clock is
interrupted,
the built in lithium battery takes over to maintain the time and alarm
settings. To maximize the Ille of the lithium battery keep the clock connected
to a ‘ live’ AC outlet at all times.

7 Setting the Time Zone
Initial Default Setting at Clock Mode
The first time you connect your new SmartSe~clock radio to the AC outlet the
internal computer will automatically set the time correctly for the Eastern
Time Zone, which is the initial default setting. The display will scan for a
few seconds and then show the correct Day and Time in the Eastern zone. If you
live in the Eastern Time zone. there’s nothing else to do. Your clock is set
CO(erectly and running.
II you do not live in the Eastern Time zone you must change the default zone
display to your own zone. You only do this one time and the Smart Set~ will
remember the new default zone setting and will always return to that setting
after power interruption.
Note: Time Zone and Time Setting can only be adjusted in standby mode, where the function of Radio ,Bluetooth, and are disabled(indicators of “MHz”, “BT” are OFF).
8 Setting the Time
9 Daylight Saving and Leap Year Adjustment
Al l Daylight Saving and Leap Year adjustment are made automatically by the
Smart Sete internal computer as follow:
Start of Daylight Saving time:
At 2:00 AM on the 2nd Sunday in March, the clock will automatically advance to
3:00AM
End of Daylight Saving time:
At 3:00 AM on the 1st Sunday in November, the clock wilt automatically rese to
2:00AM
Leap Year:
At 12:00 Midnight on February 28th, the calendar display will changeto”2.29′:
10 Setting the Alarm
IMPORTANT: Alarm settings can be checked and adjusted in Standby mode or even
while Bluetooth or Radio mode is On.
Your clock radio h as two separate alarms Alarm1 (AL 1) and Alarm2 (AL2) that
can be set and used independently. You may use the alarms to wake two persons
at different times, or you may use one alarm for weekdays and the o there one
for weekends. Please ensure that you have set the wake up time and alarm week
mode correctly.
Adjusting the Wake Up Time and Alarm Volume for Buzzer/Radio Alarm
The procedure for adjusting the wake up time is the same for both Alarm1 and
Alarm2.

Press and hold either the Al 1 or AL2 bultonuntH the di splay blinks and change from the current time to the Alarm1 or Alarm2 wake up time.

Release the AL 1 (AL2) button, press the I◄ or l>l button to adjust Hour, press the A or T button to adjust Minutes.
-
Press the AL 1 (AL2) button again lo adjust Alarm Volume V01 •V 16 by pressing the VOL· or VOL+ button .
-
Release the AL 1 (AL2) button, Press the TUNE+ o r TUNE• button repeatedly to adjust Alarm Week Mode if necessary.
-
Press the AL 1 (AL2) button again to store the alarm selling.
Note: Be sure that you have set the wake up time correctly by observing the AM indicator. If the AM Indica tor is ‘On’ the wake up time is “AM•. If it is ‘OFF’, the wake up time is “PM'”.
The procedure for setting the alarm volume for Wake• TO• Radio is the same for both Alarm 1 and Alarm 2. -
Press the FM button to turn the FM Radio mode On.
-
Tune in or recall from Memory the station that you wish hear when the alarm comes On.
-
Follow the above procedure in section 9 for setting the wakeup time and alarm volume.
-
Turn the unit Off. The unit will go to Standby mode.
Selecting the Alarm Week Mode
Your SmartSet” clock radio al lows you to select from three different alarm
week modes for each alarm. The Alarm Week Modes are:
- Everyday the alarm will turn on all 7 days
- Weekdays only· the alarm will only turn on Monday through Friday
- Weekends only· the alarm will only turn on Saturday and Sunday
- If all 7 indicators are ‘On’ , the Everyday mode is s elected.
- If only the MON (Monday) through FRI (Friday) Indicators are ·on·, the Weekdays only mode Is selected.
- lf only the SAT (Saturday) and SUN (Sunday) indicators are ‘On’, the Weekends only mode is selected.
Snooze Alarm
When the alarm comes On. press the SNOOZE button to pause it for 9 minutes.
Alarm indicator will flash during Snooze Alarm mode. To turn off Snooze Alarm,
press either the AL 1 or AL2 button once.
Note: lf not turned off. the Snooze Alarm will only be active for one hour. After Snooze Alarm turned Off. the alarm will come On again same lime next day (depends on your Alarm Week Mode setting).

12 Pairing Bluetooth Speaker
- Press the POWER button to turn the unit ON
- Press the SOURCE button to select Bluetooth(bt)mode(“”BT” flashes for pair ing)
- Enable your Bluetooth device and select ER100301 from its Available/Paired device list. If pairing successful, the unit will prompt and “BT”” will become solid
- Automatic connection with your Bluetooth devices is possible if they have been paired successfully with this unit before.
- After paired, you can play your music through this Bass Boosted Bluetooth Speaker.
Note: If pairing unsuccessful, all previously paired Bluetooth devices around should be disconnected or turned off first. in order to avoid making any auto reconnection between them. Then, set this unit to Bluetooth mode. and tap the Bluetooth switch on your phone/device off and back on again to refresh/ search any nearby “ER100301” for pairing. If you want to disconnect this unit from your Bluetooth enabled device after pairing successful, press and hold the “BT PAIR” button for 2 seconds. To reconnect this unit, just press and hold the “BT PAIR” button for 2 seconds, or select “ER100301” again from the Available/Paired device list.
13 Sleeping to Music Timer
Press the Power button o to turn ON the unit ,and press SOURCE button to select either FM Radio, Bluetooth mode to play radio or music Sleep mode setting

Press the SLEEP button. The display will show the sleep timer Indica tor comes On.
-
Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to choose your desired sleep timer (10·90 minutes or OFF).
Note: When you change the sleep timer from the 10-minute default timing to a different setting, this new setting becomes the default timing. -
To display the sleep timer during count down process, press the SLEEP button.
-
To cancel the sleep timer during count down process, press the corresponding BT or FM ON/OFF button to shut Off the unit.
14 Auto Dimmer and 3-Level Dimmer Control
Press the DIMMER button while in standby mode to select any of the three levels. To use Automatic Dimmer function, press the DIMMER button repeatedly until it displays ‘AU’. It will then automatically adapt clock display brightness based on ambient lighting conditions to make display appear consistent in different environments without the need of pressing the DIMMER button manually. It also can be adjusted when the Bluetooth or Radio is On.
15 Bedroom/Desktop LED Decor
Press the LED button to turn the night LED ON(high/low level) or OFF when needed.
16 USB-C/USB-A Port for Charging
Note: Charging current drawn from the unit may vary due to different USB charging cable condition, battery characteristic or power management system of your device being charged.
17 Changing the Lithium Battery
- The lithium backup battery needs replacement when the LOW BATTERY indicator La flashes, otherwise, the time and alarm settings will be lost/reset after a power outage.
- Leave the AC adapter connected to your AC outlet to retain memory while the original battery is removed.
- Unscrew the battery holder from the cabinet with a small screwdriver and insert a new battery with the same CR2032 (3V) or equivalent type into the holder the same way, observing the positive(+) polarity before sliding the holder back into the slot. The LOW BATTERY indicator should then be Off.

18 Care and Maintenance
Care Of Cabinets
If the cabinet becomes dusty, wipe it with a soft cloth. If the cabinet
becomes smudged or dirty, clean it with a soft, slightly dampened cloth .
Never allow water or any liquid to get inside the cabinet. Never use any
abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads as these will damage the finish of your
radio.
- Dispose of the old battery properly. Do not leave it lying around where a young child or pet could play with or swallow it. If the battery is swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
- The battery may explode if mistreated. Do not attempt to recharge it or disassemble it. Do not dispose of the old battery in a fire.
19 LIMITED WARRANTY
Emerson Radio Corp. warrants this product to be free from manufacturing defects in original material, including original parts. and workmanship under normal home use and conditions (“manufacturing defect”) for a period of ninety (90) days from date of original purchase in, and if used in the United States. Should service be necessary under this warranty, Emerson will provide the following at our Return Repair Facility provided the manufacturing defect is verified along with the date of purchase:

Repair service for ninety (90) days from date of original purchase at no charge for labor and parts.
To Receive Authorization to Return a Defective Item, please contact Emerson Customer Service at 1-800·898-9020 or at http://www.emersonradio.com/service/return policy. Have your Model number, Serial Number and dated Proof of Purchase with you when you call. In the event the product must be returned to Emerson: -
Pack the unit in a well-padded heavy corrugated box. Please insure the item is well padded to avoid damage while in transit back to our facility. If the Item lnc ul”$ damage, 11 wall NOT be replaced and the consumer will be responsible for return freight costs to receive their same unit back.

Enclose your check or money order payable to Emerson Radio in the amount of $10 to cover return shipping and handling costs.

Enclose a note with your name, address. phone number, Return Authorization number and brief reason for returning the unit.

Enclose a copy of your proof of purchase <warranty seryjcewm not be PR without dated proof of purchase).

Ship the unit prepaid via UPS or parcel post (SHIP INSURED and obtain a tracking number).
NOTE This warranty does not cover:
(a) Damage to equipment not properly connected to the product.
(b) Cost incurred in the shipping of the product to and from Emerson’s Return
Facility.
(c) Damage or improper operation of unit caused by customer abuse, misuse,
negligence or failure to follow operating instructions (including cleaning
instructions) provided with the product.
(d)Ordinary adjustments to the product which can be performed by customer as
outlined in the owner’s manual.
(e) Signal reception problems caused by external antenna or cable systems.
(f ) Products not purchased in the United States.
(g) Damage to product if used outside the United States.
