OVERVIEW
BATTERY INSTALLATION
The drone includes a built-in 3.7V 800mAh lithium rechargeable battery. The remote control requires 4 AA 1.5V batteries (not included).
- Use a Phillips-head or cross screwdriver to loosen the screw securing the battery cover on the bottom of the remote control.
- Insert the batteries, ensuring the correct polarity as per diagrams on the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery cover and secure the screw after installation.
BATTERY WARNINGS: ALKALINE
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable batteries.
- Alkaline batteries are recommended. Use only the specified voltage.
- Insert batteries using the correct polarity. Always use, replace, and recharge (if applicable) batteries under adult supervision.
- Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Do not short-circuit the battery supply terminals.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire: batteries may explode or leak.
- Remove batteries before storing.
- Recycle or dispose of batteries according to federal, state, and local laws.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY WARNINGS: (NON-REPLACEABLE BATTERY)
- There is a risk of fire and personal injury if the battery is punctured, damaged, or misused.
- Do not dismantle, crush, incinerate or short-circuit the battery.
- Never expose the battery to extreme temperatures or moisture.
- Keep away from flammable materials and direct sunlight.
- Only charge using the provided charger, cable, and/or adapters.
- The rechargeable battery is only to be charged by an adult.
- Adult supervision is required during charging.
- Allow the battery to cool to room temperature before charging.
- Charge on a non-flammable surface and keep away from flammable products.
- Discontinue charging if the battery becomes hot, swells, smokes, or gives off a strong odor.
- Battery chargers used with the product are to be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts, and in the event of such damage, they must not be used until the damage has been repaired.
- Recycle or dispose of batteries according to federal, state, and local laws.
BATTERY CHARGING AND PROPELLERS REPLACING
BATTERY CHARGING
The Aeroboost Drone uses an internal rechargeable battery that is not
replaceable. If the battery no longer stays charged, dispose of it properly
according to local disposal requirements.
CAUTION: If the rechargeable battery leaks fluid, dispose of the drone
immediately. Do not allow fluid to come in contact with skin or eyes.
-
Power off the drone by pressing the power button located on its underside.
-
Insert the USB-C cable into the port located behind the drone pilot.
IMPORTANT: Do not use excessive force when connecting the USB-C cable. If there is resistance, check alignment and try again. -
Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a charging power source. The red LED indicator lights located in the rear of the drone will turn on while the drone is charging and turn off when the drone is fully charged. The drone can also be charged via the USB-A port on the back of the remote control.
NOTE: The average charging time is approximately 90 minutes (via 5V/1A USB wall charger). -
The rear LED indicator on the drone will begin to flash and the remote controller will beep when the battery needs to be recharged. Once in low-battery mode, the drone will run for approximately 1 minute before automatically landing.
PROPELLERS REPLACING
PAIRING
The Aeroboost Drone uses an automatic 2.4GHz digital channel selection system that allows up to 10 individual players to race side by side in the same wireless range without interference.
FOR SOLO PILOTS
- Before starting, make sure that both the remote control and drone are off.
- First, turn on the remote control by rotating the power switch clockwise. The white LED indicator will start flashing slowly indicating that the remote control is ready to sync.
- Next, turn on the drone by pressing the power button and then set down the drone on a flat surface. The white LED light on the front of the drone will flash slowly to indicate that the drone has power and is ready to sync.
- To begin pairing, quickly push up once and then down on the left joystick.
- Both the remote control and drone will stop flashing once successfully paired and ready for use.
- If pairing is unsuccessful within 60 seconds, the remote control and drone will go into sleep mode. Need to turn off both the remote control and drone and repeat steps 1-4.
- If the remote control and drone have not been used for 5 minutes or longer, both will turn off and need to be restarted.
FOR MULTIPLE PILOTS
-
Make sure to power off all drones and remote controls.
-
One by one, each player should sync their drone and remote control by following the steps listed in the Solo Pilots section.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to leave each drone on until all players have completed the syncing process. -
If there are problems syncing, all drivers should turn off their drones and remote controls before restarting the syncing process.
OPERATION
PREFLIGHT CHECKLIST
- Read all warnings and instructions.
- Install remote batteries.
- Make sure the drone is completely charged.
MODES
When the drone is in auto orientation mode, it will orient to the user (remote
control) no matter what direction the drone is facing.
a. Press the auto orientation button. The Remote will beep every 6 seconds to
indicate it is in auto orientation mode.
b. Press auto orientation again to exit this mode.
TAKING OFF
- Place the drone on the ground and stand behind it (Figure A).
- Push the takeoff/land button to begin auto takeoff. The drone will hover 2 meters off the ground (Figure B).
- To begin manual takeoff, push the left joystick (throttle) up to the desired altitude (Figure C).
- If the drone veers right or left during take-off, push the right joystick (steering) in the opposite direction to keep moving forward (Figure D).
- Once you’ve reached your desired altitude, slowly pull back on the throttle joystick to level off (Figure E).
MAINTAINING FLIGHT
-
To increase altitude push the throttle joystick forward to the desired height (Figure F).
Note: The maximum range of the drone is 45m (150ft) and the maximum altitude is 27m (90ft). -
To decrease altitude, slowly pull back on the throttle joystick (Figure G).
STEERING
- Keep the throttle joystick still and slowly push the steering joystick left or right (Figure H).
- Return the steering joystick to the center position once the drone is flying in the desired direction (Figure I).
- If the steering joystick is centered and the drone is veering too far to the left or right direction, use the trim buttons as necessary to balance the drone (Figure J).
- If the steering joystick is centered and the drone is veering too far to forward/backward, use the trim buttons to adjust as necessary to balance the drone (Figure K).
LANDING
- Pull back on the throttle joystick and the drone will descend (Figure U.
- Lower the drone to within 20 feet or less and press the takeoff/land button. The propellers will shut off 3 seconds after the drone touches the ground (Figure M).
- The drone can also be landed by manually pushing the throttle joystick down until the drone lands (Figure N).
- For emergency landing, press the takeoff/land button for 2 seconds. The propellers will stop immediately and the drone will shut off (Figure 0).
CAUTION: Only use emergency landing in extreme circumstances.
Note: The use of the product may be disrupted by electromagnetic interference. If this is the case, switch the device off and on again following the instructions in the user manual. If the functions are not reset, move to another location.
