WARNING
- The device is not intended for use by children or anyone with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge. A supervisor should always be present.
- Hearing damage due to sound pressure. To counteract any hearing damage caused by the ultrasonic sound, ear protection must be worn during direct use of the device and when entering the effective area. Keep the device away from the ear canal during operation. Keep the device away from children or teenagers.
- Store and operate the device in such a way that misuse by children, teenagers and third parties can be ruled out.
- The device has a flashing light that can trigger epileptic seizures in people with a pre-existing condition due to the visual stimulus. Do not use the device if you or other persons within the range of the device belong to this group of people.
- Do not expose the device or batteries to high pressure or high temperatures. Do not operate or store the device and batteries at temperatures above +40°C.
CAUTION
- Use only rechargeable batteries of the same type. When replacing dead batteries, remove all old batteries and replace them with new ones. Do not mix old rechargeable batteries with new ones.
- Burns from battery acid. Wear protective gloves when removing leaking batteries from the device. Then clean the contacts on the device with a soft cloth.
- Risk of tripping. Place the device so that it does not pose a tripping hazard to persons and animals. Do not place the device in walkways.
- Headache, pressure sensation and tinnitus. Do not place the device inside living areas unless your device is designed for that purpose. The device is motion activated. \
Prolonged exposure to the sound may negatively affect hearing. Under certain conditions, headaches, a feeling of pressure in the head or tinnitus can be triggered. If you experience any of the above symptoms, please consult a physician immediately. Switch off the device if you spend prolonged periods of time in its vicinity.
NOTICE
- Note that the ultrasonic sound can also be heard by your own pets. Make sure that the device is switched off if your pet is in the device’s effective area. Ultrasonic sounds are very unpleasant for animals. Fear and warning cries of animals are also in the ultrasonic range and therefore it also has a scare effect.
- Do not make any unauthorised changes or modifications to the device.
- Contact the Support Service for repairs.
Info
-
The device transmits, depending on the setting, signals that are audible to humans and signals that are not or barely audible. This device works in the sonic and ultrasonic range.
According to the current state of knowledge, ultrasonic sounds do not cause any damage if the maximum level is below 140 dB (sound pressure) and the average level, related to 8 h/day, is below linear 110 dB. Our devices emit ultrasonic frequencies that can generate sound pressure between 80 and 120 dB at close range. -
The devices must be set up in such a way that you comply with the laws applicable in your country for ultrasonic emission in public spaces. This can be obtained from the local authorities responsible for your area.
INTENDED USE
The VOSS. sonic 2200 is used to repel pests and unwanted animals indoors or outdoors. No other use is permitted. Do not use the device in living rooms or rooms where people are present. Indoor operation is permitted for sheds, garages or cellars. The device is intended for private use only and not for commercial use.
Info
There is no 100% guarantee that all animals will be successfully driven away

THE RIGHT LOCATION
For the correct location of the device, consider the following points:
- The device can be placed on the floor. For outdoor use (e.g. in the garden), we recommend using the supplied mounting stake. A groove on the back of the device enables wall mounting (see illustration).
- Do not place the device in walkways. Make sure that the device does not become a tripping hazard for other people.
- Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity (e.g. sanitary rooms, damp basements) or in living rooms and rooms in which persons are present.
- Place the device in dry places protected from water. When used directly on the floor, the device should not be placed in floor depressions to protect it from water accumulation.
- Outdoors, the device should be approx. 15 cm above the ground. This enables an ideal detection and sound range.
- For best results, place the device so that it points in the direction from which the animals are coming.
- For best results, make sure that the device is not covered by any other objects. These would reflect or absorb the sound waves.
- Select a location with sufficient sunlight so that the solar panel on top can charge unhindered for as long as possible.
SET UP AND OPERATION
The VOSS. sonic 2200 is operated with three AA 1.2 V, 400 mAh NiMh rechargeable batteries. The rechargeable batteries are already in the device when it is delivered.
IR-Range dial
The dial “IR-Range” (3) controls the setting of sensitivity and distance.
Turning the dial changes the range and protection zone.
To scare small animals, turn the “IR-Range” – dial all the way to the right.
Frequency dial
The dial “Frequency” (6) controls the frequency. Turning the dial changes the
frequency. You have the choice between 5 different frequencies:
Level | Frequency | Use |
---|---|---|
0 | OFF | |
1 | 13.5–15.5 kHz | Dogs, cats, raccoons |
2 | 15.5–19.5 | Foxes, wild boars, deer |
3 | 19.5–23.5 | small rodents, rats, martens, badgers, otters |
4 | Flash only | frightens birds in particular |
5 | 13.5-23.5 + flash | A frequency mix of all levels and the flash is active. |
This is the best setting as all the functions of the device are used.
To switch on the device, turn the dials (3 & 6) to the desired setting:
When the device is switched on, a red control LED in the upper half of the
motion detector (4) lights up for approx. 5 seconds.
After triggering, a short click is audible and the control LED in the upper
half of the motion detector (4) lights up red. The device then emits the set
sound frequency for approx. 9 seconds.
Info
- To change a setting, you must always start from the OFF position (0) and directly select the desired function. For example, if you change directly from position 5 to 3 without first having turned back to the OFF position (0), the setting will remain at position 5.
- On delivery, the rechargeable batteries are installed and partially charged. To prolong the life of your rechargeable batteries, we recommend that you completely discharge the batteries in the device when you use it for the first time. As soon as the batteries need to be charged, the control LED starts flashing red. Then fully charge the device. To charge the device, see section 8.1.
8.1 CHARGING THE DEVICE
The VOSS.sonic 2200 has a solar panel that supports the batteries in the
device during the day when it is regularly exposed to sunlight for several
hours, thus extending the battery life. In the absence of sunlight, the
batteries in the device must be recharged regularly using the USB charging
cable supplied.
To charge the batteries, connect the supplied USB charging cable to the designated port (7) on the bottom of the device and connect the USB port to your PC or a USB charging adapter (5V DC, 500mAh).
WARNING
There is a risk of explosion if the batteries are overcharged.
Therefore, only use the supplied charging cable to charge the rechargeable
batteries and disconnect the device from the charging cable when fully
charged.
During the charging process, the control LED in the upper half of the motion
detector (4) flashes red. When charging is complete, the control LED lights up
red continuously.
Info
The device cannot be used during the charging process.
