Product Information
- This product is a luminaire designed for installation in accordance with local codes and the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Failure to adhere to the installation instructions and codes may result in serious injury, property damage, and void the warranty.
- The luminaire is intended for use with a power supply (transformer) rated maximum of 300 watts (25 AMPS) at 15 volts.
- Wiring connections must be made using UL listed wire connectors suitable for outdoor use.
- The main low voltage cable is intended for shallow burial, less than 6 inches (152 mm).
- The package contents include one fixture body and one MR8 bulb.
- The product dimensions are as follows: Length: 4 inches, Width: 1.13 inches, Height: 1.5 inches.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the power is turned OFF before installing or servicing the luminaire.
- WARNING: There is a risk of electrical shock. Install all luminaires at least 10 feet (3.05M) away from pools, spas, or fountains.
- Install the MR8 bulb by inserting it into the MR8 bulb socket. Make sure to use the correct wattage and type as marked on the fixture label. CAUTION: Do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on the luminaire label.
- To remove the glare guard, loosen the set screw and detach it from the fixture body.
- To install the glare guard, place it back onto the fixture body and secure it with the previously removed set screw.
- To install the stake, determine the desired location for mounting the fixture. Hammer the stake into the ground until the flange of the stake is flush to grade. If the ground is hard, make a crosscut using a flat shovel.
- To install the fixture body to the stake, clear away an area in the ground at the wireway slot on top of the stake. Lay the luminaire pigtail into the wireway slot and screw the lamp body onto the stake. Tighten the lock ring against the stake until snug.
- To make wire connections, strip both leads from the luminaire pigtail. Use two UL listed wire connectors to connect the leads from the luminaire to the main supply cable leads.
- To install or replace the lamp, follow steps 2 and 3 in reverse order. Make sure to use the correct wattage and type as marked on the fixture label. Always reinstall the glare guard when removed to protect the MR8 bulb from moisture and dust.

- Position the low voltage wire and wire connector so that it is located within 6 inches (15.2 cm) from a building structure, a luminaire or fitting.
- The main low voltage cable is intended for shallow burial – less than 6 inches (152 mm).

- Turn off/unplug and allow to cool before replacing lamp.
- Lamp gets HOT quickly! Contact only switch/plug when turning on.
- Do not touch the hot lens, guard or enclosure.
- Keep lamp away from materials that may burn.
- Do not touch lamp at any time. Use a soft cloth. Oil from skin may damage lamp.
- Do not operate the luminaire fitting with a missing or damaged shield.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove Glare Guard
Loosen the set screw and remove the glare guard from the fixture body. -
Install MR8 Bulb
Insert MR8 bulb with correct wattage and type marked on fixture label.
CAUTION: Do not exceed maximum wattage marked on luminaire label. -
Install Glare Guard
Place the glare guard back onto the fixture body and secure with previously removed set screw. -
Install Stake
Determine the desired location for mounting the fixture. Hammer the stake into the ground until flange of stake is flush to grade. To avoid dam-age to the stake, place a board on top of the stake while hammering.
NOTE: If the ground is hard and the stake is difficult to install, make a crosscut in the ground using a flat shovel. -
Install Fixture Body to Stake
Clear away an area in the ground at the wireway slot on top of the stake. Lay the luminaire pigtail into the wireway slot and screw the lamp body on to the stake. Tighten the lock ring against the stake and hand tighten until snug. -
Wire Connection
Strip both the leads from the luminaire pigtail. Using two UL listed wire connectors (sold separately), connect the leads from the lumi-naire to the main supply cable leads.
Install/Replace Lamp
Please reverse Step 2 – Step 3 to expose the MR8 bulb and re-place it with the
correct wattage and type marked on the fixture label. Then, reinstall the
glare guard.
IMPORTANT: The MR8 bulb must be protected from moisture and dust at all
times. Always reinstall the glare guard when removed.
