Important Safeguards:
The kettle will automatically switch off when the water reaches boiling point. However, you can manually switch it off before boiling by turning the ON/OFF switch to position 0.

Product Usage

• To switch on the kettle, turn the ON/OFF switch to position I.
• To switch it on again after switching it off manually, turn the ON/OFF switch to position I again.

Security System:
The kettle has a security system that automatically switches it off when the water reaches boiling point.

Cleaning:
To clean the water filter, place it in a vessel filled with vinegar or citric acid and let it sit for half an hour. Then, rinse the filter under hot water to remove any remaining residue.

Descaling:
Follow the descaling instructions provided in the user manual to remove limescale buildup from the kettle.

    We thank you for having selected the Arzum brand Kettle. This product as well is one of those offered to you to make life easier for you. In order to obtain utmost output from your appliance, please read carefully this user’s manual and save it for further use.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using an electric appliance the basic safety measures should always be observed.

• Make sure that the voltage indicated on the Arzum Picco Kettle corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.

• This appliance is designed to use for home, stuff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, customer rooms in hotel, motel and the other accommodation places . The appliance is not suitable for professional use. Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.

• This appliance should be used by people who are informed, supervised and instructed to use this appliance in a safe manner and understood the risks. This product shouldn’t be used by persons with physical (visual, aural) or mental disabilities, children and persons
  with inadequate experience and knowledge without the supervision of someone responsible for their safety. Keep the children under supervision when the product is used and make sure that children doesn’t play with the product. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  Attention: Keep children away from all packing materials, these materials have potential danger that can cause death as a result of choke.

• Keep your appliance away from and out of reach of the children.

• Your device is for household use only. Do not use outdoors for commercial or industrial purposes.

• Plug your device to a grounded socket without fail. To prevent harming your appliance do not use extension cords. When using extension cords, make sure to use grounded socket, with the cable cross section of 1mm².

• Do not place the Arzum Picco Kettle over or near direct heat sources such as hot gas, electric burner, or heating oven.

• Ensure that the water heater is placed on a firm and flat surface. Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. The least blow or knock may overturn it. Do not forget that it may be full of hot water.

• Do not let cord hang over edge of table counter or touch any other appliances.

•  Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your device. Do not carry your appliance by holding from the cord. To unplug the heater, hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.

• Never interfere with your appliance except for the purposes of cleaning and maintenance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it byyourself. Call immediately a Arzum Authorized Service.

• Always hold your appliance by its handle. Its outer surface may be hot.

• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before cleaning the appliance.

  • Use your Arzum Picco Kettle with its own power base unit only. Do not place it on those belonging to any other appliance.
  • The kettle will switch off automatically when the water reaches boiling. However, if you want to switch off before boiling you can do this manually turning the ON/OFF switch to the position “0”.

• If you wish to re-boil the water, allow it to cool down for about 15-20 seconds before starting your appliance.

• If the kettle ever runs dry while operating, a safety cut-off device will automatically cut the power off. In such a case, you must allow it to cool down completely before refilling with cold water.

• Avoid contact with steam to be ejected from spout when the water is boiling, and do not let children to use the appliance.

• Never open the lid while the water is boiling. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle to fast.

• Do not fill above MAX mark.

• Never immerse the appliance, power base unit, or electric plug in water or other liquids, nor wash in a washing dish machine, nor use in bathroom or any other places with a high rate of moisture.

• Never leave the power base unit and electrical connection ends of your device in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and no not operate the appliance before having it dried completely.

• When filling with water remove the kettle from its power base unit.

• You can clean the outer surface of the kettle with a damp cloth. Make sure that the power base unit is completely dry when cleaning.

WARNING

• Do not open the ON/OFF switch when the kettle does not contain water, or filled with water below the minimum (0,5 Lt. limit.)
• When the water is finished inside of the kettle the ON/OFF switch must be turned off.

USING THE KETTLE

• Do not use the kettle for any other purposes other than boiling water. Do not fill with any other liquids or solutions.

• If the kettle is being used for the first time, clean it before operation and pour away the first boiled water and refill, repeating this process 2-3 times. Ensure that the water is filled up to the MAX point. Boil the water until the appliance is switched off automatically.

• Pour away the water and allow your appliance to cool down.

• Make sure that the water is filled up to the maximum level.

•  After boiling the water, some powder-like sediment may form due to the hardness of the water. This is quite natural and has no adverse effects whatsoever on human health.

• With the ON/OFF switch turned on “I”, the lid of the kettle MUST be closed.

• Turn the main switch (on/off switch) to the position “I“. Indicator light will turn on and the water will begin to get warm. When the water reaches boiling the kettle will switch off automatically and the main switch will spring back to the original position.

• If you desire to stop the boiling function you can turn the main switch (on/off switch) to the position “0”.

• When filling the kettle with water, ALWAYS remove the appliance from its power base unit. By doing so, you can prevent the water from pouring on the table.

• Do not fill with less than 0.5 liter of water (less than “MIN” indication) or more than 1,2 liter of water (more than “MAX” indication). If you attempt to boil a quantity of water below the minimum level or above the maximum level, the appliance may switch off rather early or the boiling water may eject from the spout, respectively.

• When not in use, provided that the main switch is turned off “O”, it would be convenient to allow the appliance to stay continuously plugged in the kitchen.

SWITCHING ON AGAIN

If you want to re-boil the water make sure that your appliance has cooled down sufficiently. Should the on/off switch turn to the position “0” automatically, do not force it to the position “I”. Otherwise, you may damage to your appliance.

SECURITY SYSTEM

• After the water has boiled, the appliance switches off automatically off.
• Protection against operation without water: If your device accidentally is put into operation, then the fuse turns against operation without water and thereby the energy becomes automatic switched off. In such a case, take the plug of yours remove the device from the socket or from the mains and wait until it has cooled down completely.

CLEANING

• Before cleaning your appliance, first ALWAYS read the instructions in the section “Important Safeguards”.
  BEFORE CLEANING TURN OFF “0” THE MAIN SWITCH (ON/OFF SWITCH), UNPLUG FROM OUTLET, AND ALLOW IT TO COOL DOWN.

• Discharge the water from the kettle, and wipe the outside of it thoroughly with a dry or damp cloth.

• NEVER immerse the power base unit and the kettle into water, nor wash them in a washing dish machine.

• Avoid using abrasive and chemical cleaning agents (liquid bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.) in cleaning any accessories of the appliance.

Cleaning the Water Filter

• Water filter is placed on the inner side of the spout. It holds foreign matters, limes, and scales, which may be contained in the water.

• After each use, the water filter should be held under running water, and cleaned with a soft brush.

• If excessive amounts of lime and scale have accumulated on the filter.

  • Place the water filter in a vessel filled with the vinegar (or citric acid).
  • Let the vinegar remain inside the vessel for half an hour.
  • Then, hold the water filter under current of hot water until any remaining scale and vinegar are removed.
  • Cleaning frequency depends upon the area (such as dusty) in which the kettle is used.
  • In cleaning the water filter NEVER use dishwashing detergents or special descaling agents.

Descaling

• It is important the kettle is descaled regularly as appropriate, for the hygiene and energy saving purposes.
• Limes and scales contained in the used water will form a brown layer on the heating base, reducing the effectiveness of your appliance.
•  Light formation of limes and scales can be easily removed with a brush (do not forget to unplug the appliance before doing so).
• The descaling agents sold and available on the market to use on household utensils as well as the vinegar can be used for removing the collected hard scales.
• To clean your kettle with a descaling agent: Once you have boiled some quantity of water in the kettle add the descaling agent and mix them. Then, boil for 2-3 minutes more, empty the kettle, and rinse the inside of it 2-3 times repeatedly.
• To clean with ordinary vinegar: Fill your kettle with half a liter of ordinary vinegar and wait for one hour. Then, pour away the vinegar and rinse it 2-3 times repeatedly with clean water.
• To clean with citric acid: Once you have boiled half a liter of water, add 25 grams of citric acid and allow it to wait for 15 minutes. Then, empty the kettle and rinse it 2-3 times repeatedly with clean water. Repeat this process, if necessary. Always add water when using citric acid, and do not clean without water.
