We thank you for having selected the Arzum brand Filter coffee machine. This product as well is one of the Arzum product offered to you to make life easier for you. In order to obtain ultimate output from your appliance, please read carefully this user’s manual and save it for further use.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Make sure that the voltage indicated on the Arzum Brewtime Pro Filter Coffee Machine corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– Farm houses;
– By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– Bed and breakfast type environments. -
This appliance should be used by people who are informed, supervised and instructed to use this appliance in a safe manner and understood the risks. This product shouldn’t be used by persons with physical (visual, aural) or mental disabilities, children and persons with inadequate experience and knowledge without the supervision of someone responsible for their safety. Keep the children under supervision when the product is used and make sure that children doesn’t play with the product.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
Attention: Keep children away from all packing materials, these materials have potential danger that can cause death as a result of choke. -
Keep your appliance away from and out of reach of the children.

The appliance must not be immersed in the water.

The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

Do not fill coffee machine with liquid more than maximum limit.
This appliance is intended to be used in household environment. Do not use the appliance for commercial or industrial purpose. Otherwise it will not be covered by warranty.
Keep your appliance away from and out of reach of the children. -
Plug your appliance to a grounded socket. Do not use extension cords that supply improper current in order to prevent damage to your machine.

Do not place the Arzum Filter Coffee Maker over or near direct heat sources such as stove, heating oven etc.

Ensure that the appliance is placed on a firm and flat surface. Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. Even a small impact may fall down your appliance. Do not forget that your Filter Coffee Maker is full of water.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or countertop or to contact other devices.
Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your appliance. Do not carry your appliance by holding from the cord. To unplug the filter coffee maker, hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.
Never interfere with your appliance except for the purposes of cleaning and maintenance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as falling down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself.
Call immediately an Arzum Authorized Service. Use original spare parts in your appliance.
Please, unplug from outlet your appliance when your appliance not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before cleaning the appliance.
Avoid contact with steam to be ejected from spout when the water is boiling, and do not let children to use the appliance. -
Ensure that water tank and filter cap of your Arzum Filter Coffe Maker is closed before operating your appliance.

NEVER immerse your appliance in water or any liquid; do not wash your appliance in dishwasher and do not use your appliance in bathroom or any other placeces with high humidity rate.

You can put water and ground coffee in your appliance while it is in off position.

NEVER put anything into the water tank other than water.
Never leave the power base unit and electrical connection ends of your appliance in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and no not operate your appliance before having it dried completely. -
NEVER put anything into the filter housing other than ground coffee.

Be careful not to burn yourself due to the water or steam from the machine or inappropriate use of the machine.

Heating level remains hot due to heat after use the appliance; NEVER touch it.
AROMA SETTING
Thanks to aroma setting of your filter coffee maker, you can set the aroma of
your coffee to medium or strong with a single button.
- Plug in your appliance
- You can set the aroma of your coffee to hard by pressing the STRONG icon on the digital display.
- After pressing the STRONG icon, the indicator light on the button first lights up green, the indicator light on the MIN button starts to flash red. The appliance starts to operate directly and it make your coffee stronger with a longer brewing time.
TIME SETTING FEATURE

Hour Setting
In order to set the current time of your device, press the “PROG” button on the digital screen once before pressing the On/ Off button. When you see the word “CLOCK” on the screen, press the “HOUR” button to set the hour and “MIN” button to set the minute. -
Programming
In order to schedule the time at which you want your coffee to be ready, press the “PROG” button on the digital screen twice before pressing the On/Off button.
When you see the word “TIMER” on the screen, press the “HOUR” button to set the hour and and “MIN” button to set the minute.
Then press the On/Off button twice to activate the programming mode.
The round blue light on the screen will turn red when it is the scheduled time and start the coffee making process.
The heating base will run for 2 hours after the cooking process is finished.
If you wish to turn off your device earlier, press the On/Off button twice.
Once the red and blue round indicator light is off, your device will turn off.
WARNING: When you unplug the device or in case of a power failure, you will need to readjust the time settingof your device.
CLEANING FUNCTION
Unplug your appliance from outlet. Fill the water tank with water up to 12 (MAX) level and place the teapot into its slot. Then, plug in your appliance.

Press the “CLEAN” button on the control panel. The cleaning process will start when the green light just above the button lights up.
-
At this stage, your appliance will boil the water and pour it into the teapot slowly.
This process will take approximately 30 minutes. -
Do not unplug your appliance and remove the teapot from its slot without making sure that the related lights on your appliance are off and the process is complete.

After “CLEAN” mode has finished, you can continue to use your appliance according to the instruction manual.
USE OF YOUR APPLIANCE
FIRST USE
Before using your device for the first time, run it with only water for 3
times without adding any coffee.
OPERATING
- Open the water reservoir and the filter lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh and clean water up to the level depending on how many cups of coffee you wish to make.
- Do not exceed the maximum water level indicated on the reservoir. 2. Add ground filter coffee into the filter and use one scale of coffee for each cup (e.g. to make 10 cups of coffee, use 10 scales; 1 scale=6/7 gr). 3. Close the lid. 4. Place the glass jug on the heating surface. 5. Plug in your device. 6. Choose the aroma setting. (see the title AROMA SETTING) 7. Set the time of your device in order to use the programming feature. (see the title TIME SETTING FEATURE). If you wish to proceed with the coffee making process without using the programming mode, you can skip to the next item to initiate the cooking process. 8. Press the on/off button. After the round red light appears on the digital screen, your device will start the cooking process. 9. After the coffee making process is finished, you can serve your coffee in the glass jug as you wish. 10. Unless you turn off your device, the glass jar on the heating surface will remain hot. 11. Turn off the device using the on/off button. 12. Unplug the device.
WARNING: When you unplug the device or in case of a power failure, you
will need to readjust the time setting of your device.
WARNING: If you wish to use Programming and Aroma setting mode
concurrently, first select the strength of your coffee. Then set your device
to the time at which the coffee making process will start.

The resulting cooked coffee will be 10% less than the water filled.
The reason for this is that the coffee beans absorb some of the water.
** The round red light indicator on the button indicates that the filter coffee machine is currently running. It is normal for the device to release a fair amount of steam during the brewing process.
* Wait for a couple of minutes before another coffee making process.
HEATER BASE
Heating base of Arzum Brewtime Pro Filter Coffee Machine keeps your coffee warm. After the brewing process is over, your machine will continue to run for 2 hours unless you shut it down.
SECURITY SYSTEM
• After coffee brewing process is over, heater base operates for keeping your coffee warm up to 2 hours and then your appliance switches off automatically.
Waterless Operating Protection: If your appliance runs without water, thermostat will be activated and will de-energise and turn off your appliance. In that case, unplug your machine and leave it to cooling.
CLEANING**- Shut down the main switch (i/o) of your appliance and disconnect the plug from the outlet and wait for your appliance to cool down before cleaning.
- You can manually wash glass jug, filter and filter housing of your Arzum Filter Coffee Machine. NEVER wash the other parts by means of plunging them into water or in the dishwasher.
- Discharge the water in water tank. It is recommended to use fresh water after each use.
Do not clean any of the appliance accessories with harsh and chemical cleaners (bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.)
CALCIFICATION REMOVAL
If the water in your area is harsh, calcification in your machine will build
up over time and calcification build-up will prevent proper operation of your
appliance. Regular calcification removal procedure prolongs the life of your
appliance and ensures optimal brewing results for a long time. It is
recommended to remove calcification of your coffee machine in each 50 use.
For removing calcification of your appliance, apply the following steps:
While cleaning your appliance from calcification;
– You can use 2 cups of white vinegar,
– Use appropriate calcification removal solution for your coffee machine.
- Pour the mixture into the housing and operate your coffee machine (with no coffee).
- Wait until one cup of mixture is poured into jug and then stop your coffee machine.
- Wait for two hours to take effect.
- For preventing its flowing, operate coffee machine again.
- Operate and rinse your filter coffee machine with water 2 or 3 times before putting coffee.
** Appliances not working due to calcification or appliances not properly working are out of warranty.

HANDLING AND SHIPMENT
- During handling and shipment, your appliance must be kept in original package in order to prevent damages to its parts.
- Keep at normal position during shipment.
- Do not drop the product when transporting and protect from impacts.
- After delivery of the product, failures and damages that may occur while transporting are not covered by warranty.
