Product Usage Instructions

20” Front Rollers

The front roller replace the standard caster wheels and provides a few advantages.
First, this adds additional weight to the front of the mower for more stable tracking which is helpful for rougher yards. It also minimizes uneven cut from low spots and allows the mower to hang over the lawn edges and flower beds for extra close cuts. They are made of hard plated steel and have large sealed ball bearing for long life durability

Back-Lapping Kits

Back-lapping helps improve the cutting action by removing nicks and high spots from the surfaces to create a more consistent contact between the blade and bed knife for an effective scissor cut.

SPRING COMPRESSOR

P/N 980 – SPRING COMPRESSOR TOOL

This tool is used for compressing the clutch spring when the installing it on to the drive shaft.

STEP 1:
Once all of the components are in place on the drive shaft: clutch lining, sprocket, bushing,washers, spring and collar, place the tool on to the shaft against the collar next to the spring.

STEP 2:
Tighten the collar set screws to secure the tool in place.

STEP 3:
Rotate the tool clockwise to begin compressing the spring and continue until it has reached a length of: 4-3/8” (4.375 in. / 111.125 mm).

STEP 4:
Tighten the set screws in the collar – use medium strength thread lock fluid.

STEP 5:
Loosen the set screws and remove the tool.
