Aqara 3020317 Smart Wall Switch
Product Information
The Smart Wall Switch (No Neutral, Single Rocker) is a smart switch that allows you to control your lights or other connected devices remotely. This product requires a compatible hub for operation. Important safety precautions:
- A certain amount of electrical knowledge is required to install this smart wall switch. For your safety, it is recommended to seek assistance from a qualified electrician.
- This product is designed for indoor use only and should not be used in humid environments.
- Avoid installing this product near a heat source.
- Ensure that this Smart Switch is used with copper wire only.
Installation Instructions
- Before starting the installation, turn off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box and confirm that the power is off by switching the light on and off multiple times.
- Remove the existing switch and identify the wires with wire labels:
- Ground wire (usually green/bare)
- Neutral wire (usually white)
- Line(Hot)/Load wire (usually black)
- Install the smart wall switch and connect the wires as required:
- Connect the ground wire to the ground terminal of the smart switch.
- Connect the neutral wire to the neutral terminal of the smart switch.
- Connect the line (hot)/load wire to the corresponding terminal of the smart switch.
- Tuck the wires into the wall box, leaving room for the smart switch. Use the provided screws to mount the smart switch to the wall box, being careful not to crush any wires. Avoid overtightening the screws.
- Install the wall plate, turn on the main power at the circuit breaker, and test the switch by pressing the button. If it doesn’t work, check if the wiring is correct and if the power is restored.
Quick Setup
- Add the Hub to the app according to the Hub Quick Start Guide.
- Open the app and tap the “+” button in the top right corner to enter the Add Device (Accessory) page.
- Select “Smart Wall Switch (No Neutral, Single Rocker)” and follow the instructions to add it to your app.
- If the connection fails, try moving the hub closer to the switch, connect it to power, and try again.
Effective Range Test
To test the effective range of communication between the device and the hub, quickly press the button on the device three times. If the hub makes voice prompts, it indicates that the device can communicate effectively with the hub.
Indicator Light Description
- Blue light blinks quickly: Zigbee network is connecting.
- Blue light keeps on: Zigbee network works properly.
- Red light blinks quickly: High-temperature alarm.
- The red light blinks slowly: Zigbee network is not connected.

Before you install
This product is only used to replace a single pole switch rather than a 3-way switch.

- Turn off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box and test that power is off before wiring. (Please switch the light several times to make sure that the power has been disconnected)
- Remove the existing switch and identify the wires with wire labels.
- Install the smart wall switch and connect the wires as required.3.
- Tuck the wires into the wall box leaving room for the smart switch.
- Using the screws provided, mount the smart switch to the wall box.
- Be careful not to crush any wires.
- (Note: avoid overtightening the screws.)
- Install the wall plate, turn the main power ON at the circuit breaker, and test the switch by pressing the button;
- If it doesn’t work, please check: a. If the wiring is correct; b. If the power is restored.
- If it works, add the switch to the app following the next steps;
Quick Setup
