Sensor Information

PIR (PASSIVE INFRARED) SENSOR:
The luminaire has a PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensing device that continuously scans the operating zone and immediately switches the luminaire on when it detects any movement in that area. Whenever movement is detected within the sensor range, the luminaire will switch on automatically to illuminate the area.
NOTE: While there are movements within the sensor range, the luminaire will remain on.

SENSOR LOCATION & DETECTION:

  • The ideal mounting height is between 1 .8 m 2.5 m (Fig. A

  • The maximum detection area is approximately 1 0 m away with an angle of 1 8 0°. The detection area will vary
depending on the mounting height and items in the detection area. (Fig. A

  • The sensor has increased sensitivity with movement across the detection area. (Fig. B

  • The sensor has reduced sensitivity with movement towards and away from the detection area. (Fig. C

  • If movement is made walking directly towards or away from the sensor and not across its detection area, the detection
    range will be substantially reduced.

  • The detection area may also alter at different temperatures.

  • To avoid damage to the sensor, do not aim the sensor toward the sun.

  • To avoid false triggering:

    • The sensor should be directed away from potential heat sources such as air conditioners, exhaust vents etc.
    • Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic disturbance, outside lighting, moving cars, trees, pets, etc
    • Do not aim towards reflective surfaces, such as smooth white walls, swimming pools, ponds etc.
    • It is recommended the luminaire is installed on its own switch and not interconnected with other luminaires on the same switch.
    • Avoid installing the luminaire in close proximity or on the same circuit to any fluorescent luminaires or ceiling fans. RFI interference may cause the luminaire to switch on unintentionallyLucci-240730-Guard-Link-1-Light-Led-Linkable-Floodlight-FIG-1

Luminaire Linking Function Creating A New Network

  1. When the luminaire is turned on for the first time, wait 50 seconds for it to fully initialize. After the initialization, the light will turn off and the red indicator light in the sensor head will stop flashing the luminaire is now ready to enter the network mode.

  2. Press the button on the sensor head 3 times within 5 seconds to enter the network mode. The red light in the sensor will flash quickly when it is in network mode. It will remain in network mode (red light flashing quickly) for 3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, if there is no network created each luminaire will operate independently and there will be no linked network.

  3. When all luminaires have entered the network mode (red light flashing quickly), pick any luminaire and press and hold the button on the sensor head for 6 seconds
After 6 seconds r release the button and the red light will flash slowly. This will indicate the luminaire has created a network and will remain on for 15 seconds. After this, the red light will turn off and will be in the linked network mode.

  4. If you want to remove a luminaire from an existing network, follow step 2 and wait 3 minutes

  5. After the luminaire has been removed from a network, repeat steps 2 and 3 for the luminaires to be linked on a separate network.

Luminaire Linking Function Adding A New Luminaire to An Existing Network

  1. When the luminaire is turned on for the first time, wait 50 seconds for it to fully initialize. After the initialization, the light will turn off and the red indicator light in the sensor head will stop flashing the luminaire is now ready to enter the network mode
