Product Information

The Shake It Bluey toy is a cute pup that offers five fun movements with sounds. It is designed for real-life play and comes with various features:

  • Turn Head: Bluey’s head can be turned to the left and right to hear fun responses.
  • Nose Button: Press Bluey’s nose to hear her sniff and sneeze.
  • Wave Arm: Wave Bluey’s right arm to hear fun responses.

Battery Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned off.
  2. Locate the battery cover at the back of Bluey’s head.
  3. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and open the battery cover.
  4. Remove the old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  5. Install 2 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. We recommend using alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries for best performance.
  6. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure it.
    WARNING: Adult assembly is required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

Activating Normal Play Mode
The product is initially set to Try-Me mode in the packaging. To activate normal play mode:

  1. Turn the toy on.
  2. Switch the Volume Switch from High to Low.
  3. You will hear two du sounds, and Bluey’s tummy will flash twice, indicating that normal play mode is activated.

Activities

  1. Free-Play Mode: In Free-Play mode, press a button or move Bluey’s body to activate sounds, phrases, and music.
  2. Follow Me Mode: In Follow Me mode, follow th directions with upbeat music to play. There are three progressive levels that allow less time for input as the level increases.

Care & Maintenance

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight and direct heat sources.
  3. If the unit will not be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
  4. Avoid dropping the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose it to excessive moisture.
  5. If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, install a new set of batteries.

    WARNING
    All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
    NOTE
    Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

Unlock the Packaging Locks

  1. Turn the packaging lock counterclockwise several times.
  2. Pull out and discard the packaging lock.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
  2. Find the battery cover located on the back of Bluey’s head, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then open the battery cover.
  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. Install 2 new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

WARNING:

  * Adult assembly required for battery installation.
  * Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

  • Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

ACTIVATE NORMAL PLAY MODE

This product is in Try-Me mode in the packaging. When you play with Shake It Bluey for the first time, turn the toy on then switch the Volume Switch from High to Low. You will hear two “du” sounds and Bluey’s tummy will flash twice to indicate normal play mode.

    Slide the Off/Mode Selector to Free-Play mode or Follow Me mode to turn the unit On and start playing. To turn the unit Off, slide the selector to Off .

  2. Turning Head
    Turn Bluey’s head to the left and right to hear fun responses.

    Press Bluey’s nose to hear her sniff and sneeze.

  4. Waving Arm
    Wave Bluey’s right arm to hear fun responses.

  5. Shake Shaker
    Shake the Shaker to hear sounds and melodies.

  6. Bopping Body
    Bop Bluey’s body to count and listen to melodies.

  7. Light-Up Tummy
    See Bluey’s tummy light up with the sounds and music.

  8. Volume Switch
    Switch to Low/High volume position to adjust the volume.

  9. Automatic Shut-Off
    To preserve battery life, the Shake It Bluey will shut off automatically after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by sliding the Off/Mode Selector. The unit will also automatically turn off when the batteries are low. Bluey’s tummy will flash three times as a reminder to change the batteries.
    NOTE
    If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.

ACTIVITIES

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn the unit Off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit back On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
