The Philips 5000 Series Steam iron is a high-quality iron designed for consistent performance. It features a powerful 2400 W power to heat up quickly and deliver fast crease removal. The iron has a continuous steam output of 40 g/min and a steam boost function that can penetrate deeper into fabrics with a steam output of 160 g. The SteamGlide Plus soleplate is nonstick,scratch- resistant, and easy to clean. The iron also includes a built-in calc-clean slider to remove calcium buildup and maintain peak performance. It operates with ordinary tap water and has a Drip Stop system to prevent water droplets from causing stains. The iron has a comfortable handle with a textured grip for ergonomic use.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Before using the iron for the first time, fill the water tank with ordinary tap water.
2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature control dial to the desired fabric setting.
3. Wait for the iron to heat up. The 2400 W power ensures a fast warm-up.
4. Once the iron is heated, it is ready to use. For continuous steam, press the steam button and move the iron over the fabric in a smooth motion.
5. To remove stubborn creases, use the steam boost function by pressing the steam boost button. This will release a higher steamoutput of 160 g.
6. The SteamGlide Plus soleplate smoothly glides over any fabric. Use the iron in a back-and-forth motion to remove wrinkles effectively.
7. If calcium buildup occurs, use the built-in calc-clean slider to remove limescale and maintain the iron’s performance.
8. For vertical steaming, hold the iron in an upright position and press the steam button. This function is ideal for refreshing garments on hangers or removing creases from curtains.
9. After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool down before storing.
10. Regularly clean the soleplate and empty the water tank to ensure optimal performance.
