Product Information
The M5 body police camera is a high-quality device designed for
law enforcement professionals. It features various functions and
advanced features to enhance user experience and ensure efficient
operation. This user manual provides a comprehensive guide on the

PART 1: STRUCTURE DIAGRAM
The structure diagram illustrates the different components of
the M5 body police camera, including indicator lights, image
sensor, buttons, interface ports, speaker hole, LCD display, and
more.
PART 2: LCD INDICATION
The LCD indication provides important information displayed on
the camera’s screen. It includes video resolution, memory capacity
available, police ID, system date and time, battery level, audio
status, device ID, and remaining video recording time.
PART 3: BASIC OPERATION
This section covers the basic operations of the M5 body police
camera.
3.1 How to charge the device
It is recommended to fully charge the camera before initial use.
To charge the device:

Power off the camera.

Connect the camera to a compatible charger plug (5V, 1A) using
the standard cable. -
Charge the camera for approximately 6 hours.
-
The working indicator light shows green and the power indicator
light shows blue during charging. -
After fully charged, the blue indicator light turns off.
Note: When the battery voltage is low, the
battery icon on the display turns red and displays “Battery Low”
intermittently with a prompt sound. The camera will automatically
shut down after 5 minutes. It is important to charge the camera
promptly to avoid any disruptions in usage.
3.2 Power On/Off/Standby Mode
3.2.1 Power On:
To power on the camera, simply press the power button.
3.2.2 Power Off:
In the power-on state, press and hold the power button for 3
seconds to power off the camera. All indicator lights will turn
off.
For detailed instructions on other basic operations, such as
taking photos, recording videos and audio, night vision mode, file
management, system settings, and more, please refer to the
corresponding sections in the user manual.

introduction of the M5 body police camera which includes its functions,
features, external structure, operation, and caution items. Before using the
product, please read the user manual carefully and keep it properly.

PART 3 BASIC OPERATION
3.1 How to charge the device
Note: Charge fully when first receiving the camera. Please power off the
camera to charge for at least 6 hours. Compatible Charger Plug: 5V, 1A
Low battery prompt: When the battery voltage is too low, the battery icon in
the upper right corner of the display will turn red, and the screen will
intermittently display the words “Battery Low” with a prompt sound, and it
will automatically shut down after 5 minutes. Please charge it in time after
the battery is low, so as not to affect your use (Power off state to charge).
Charging Tips: Use the standard cable and 5V-1A charger plug to charge for
about 6 hours(Power off state to charge). When charging, in power-on status
the working indicator light shows green, the power indicator light

3.2 Power On/Off/Standby Mode 3.2.1 Power On:
In the shutdown state, press and hold the button to power on, and enter the
preview screen, the power indicator shows steady green. Turn on the LCD Auto
Off function in the menu, if without any operation after 5min after powering
on, the default is to auto turn off the screen display (camera standby mode)
and the green indicator steady on. Start video recording for 5min, without
other operations, then it automatically enters the LCD Auto Off mode and the
red indicator keeps flashing.(LCD Auto Off mode can be set to off/5min).

3.2.2 Power Off: In the power-on state, press and hold the button for 3
seconds to power off, and all the indicator lights go out.
3.2.3 Standby Mode/LCD Screen Off Mode In the power-on state, the power
inUdSBicCahtoarrgsintagyMsogdreeen. Turn on the LCD Auto Off
function(iinptuhtevomlteangeuD, iCf5V-1A) without any operation after 5min
after powering on, the screen will turn off. Tap any button to light up the
display screen/activate the camera.
3.3 Take Photo
In standby, short press button once to take a picture. OR in the power-on
state, press and hold the button (This button is on front of the camera, below
the BOBLOV logo.) for 3 seconds to take a picture and auto save it. There will
be a”click”sound during the picture. Every press and hold will take one
picture. The picture is named after the date and time, and the suffix is JPG.

3.4 Video & Audio Recording 3.4.1 Normal Video

3.4.2 Snapshot
During the recording process, long press button (This button is on front of
the camera, below the BOBLOV logo.) for 3 seconds to take a picture and save
it auto. The video recording will not be interrupted during this process.

This video will save as a normal video in the “VIDEO” file folder, named
beginning as “NOR_”.
If marking the video as a locked video, this file will not be covered after
the memory is full during the Loop Recording mode. Marked/Lockedvideo can’t be
deleted on the camera, please connect to a computer to delete it.
3.4.4 Zoom In & Out In standby/video mode, long press the button to zoom in
the scene on the screen, and long press the
button to zoom out of the image. The zoom in and zoom out can be adjusted in
the range of 1.00X-128.00X. 3.4.5 Audio Recording In the power-on state, tap
the button; OR long press and hold the button for 3 seconds in the 09

power-off state, to start an audio recording. When recording, the screen displays a logo, and the work indicator flashes yellow. Press the button again to stop the audio recording. The yellow work indicator goes off and the audio file is auto saved. The screen auto returns to the preview screen. The indicator turns to steady green light.
3.5 Night Vision
amera default is “Manual”,
If you want camera night vision to be activated auto, please go to menu setting, and set “IR Filter” to “Auto”. Then the camera can be switched to the night vision mode according to the brightness of the environment.

On Menu Setting page, there is a Stealth Mode option, default is Off. Turn it
to On, the camera will be hidden recording states, no indicators, prompt
sound, or button sounds. In Stealth Mode On Mode, you could record video with
sound and playback it on camera with sound.
Note: If turn on Stealth Mode, the Laser Light/ Flashing/Alarm Sound can’t be
activated. And we advise setting the camera Auto Power Off to 10 min if
Stealth Mode is On, as the camera has no indicators in this situation, and we
don’t know what the camera working state is. Auto power off will save the
camera battery.
3.7 Files View /Playback

3.8 File Deletion
Note: If you need to protect the recorded files, turn on the “Password Protection” in the menu setting. Otherwise, all the files can be deleted without password verify. The marked/locked video can’t be deleted on camera side due to the design of recording evidence protection. Please connect to a computer to delete it.
After turn on the “Password Protection” in the menu setting, need to enter the default password: 000000 first before deleting files.

3.9 File Transfer/Connecting Computer
Connect to the computer by the USB cable attached. Then enter USB disk mode.
(If turn on “Password Protection” in the menu, need to input the password you
set first,the default password is 000000then could review or delete the files
in the computer)
3.10 Camera Password
*Default Camera Password: 000000
There is “Password Protection” in the menu setting,
click OK button in the standby mode to get into
menu, then turn to “Password Protection” section. If
want to turn it on, you need to insert the default
password: 000000 first. Click OK button again, then
use
and button to choose the “On” option
and click OK button again to save the change.
After turning on the “Password Protection”, the below circumstance need to verify the password, including but not limited to: 1. When connecting the camera to the PC side; 2. Try to delete the files on the camera; 3. Choose to change the camera password, need to

verify the old password(If the new camera, need to enter the default password.) 4. Change the Device ID/Police ID; 5. Format the camera storage.

After turning on the “GPS” in the menu, back to the preview screen, an icon
will show up on the right corner of the screen. Take a video and the GPS
information will be collected.
Note: If the icon show yellow , mean the GPS signal is weak and couldn’t work.
Only the icon show green the GPS information could be recorded
normally.normally. Please use the camera in an open area to collect the GPS
information. If in buildings, a traffic jam in the viaduct or tunnel, the GPS
signal will be weakened. In addition, if there is metal shielding around the
camera, the weaken will be more obvious.

on the VLC media player.
Q: Why the screen turns off automatically? A: The camera enters the LCD Auto
Off mode in default
without 5 minutes operation. If you want the display is always on, please
enter the menu to set LCD Auto Off option to Off. LCD Auto Off option can be
set to off/5 min.

Q: Why does the camera shut off auto? A: Please check whether the Auto Power
Off option in
the menu is on. If you want the camera to stay power-on state, please enter
the menu to set Auto Power Off to Off. Auto Power Off mode can be set to
off/1min/3min/5min/10min.
