- Burner with removable copper piece 230g (no. 10/11) – Suitable for soft-soldering of copper and zinc, and can be used as a hard-soldering device for finer work when the copper piece is removed.
- Soldering iron attachment with copper piece 100g (no. 12) – Particularly suitable for fine soldering work on electrical appliances and craftworks.
- Flat-flame burner (no. 8) – For browning wood, paint-burning, and tinning.
- To close the device:
- Close the cylinder valve at the propane gas cylinder.
- Allow the remaining gas in the hose to burn off.
- Cool down the burner parts before disassembling or packing them.
- Regularly check the gas-tightness using a water-and-soap solution or CFH leak-seeking-spray (article no. 52110).
- Never use an open flame for testing gas-tightness.
- For professional use, it is recommended to mount a safety valve (CFH article no. 52118) between the pressure regulator (drawing I, no. 14) and the hose (no. 13) for triple protection.
- Do not leave the device unattended while in use to prevent potential dangers if the flame goes out and gas starts streaming out.

Article no. 52055
Please read these instructions for use carefully before operating the device.
This leaflet should be kept for future reference.
The blowlamp-system allows a simple assembly of the single combination
components. The 2.5 bar pressure regulator is a part of the extent of supply
and has a combination connection and is suitable for 5 kg, 11 kg and 33 kg
propane gas cylinders.
Assembly of different types of soldering devices
- The herewith enclosed drawing (I) shows the different combination possibilities. First mount the pressure regulator (no. 14) onto the propane gas cylinder, then the gas hose (no. 13) onto the regulator and now fix the handle (no. 1) as shown in the drawing. Fix all the screw joints well with the enclosed key. Now mount the burner you wish to use.The most powerful burner is the 27 mm turbo-burner (no. 9). The handle (no. 1) is equipped with an energy saver lever (no. 3). If you squeeze the energy saver lever (see fig. III) the flame of the turbo burner reaches full power; if you leave the lever while interrupting your work, the flame becomes small again. The energy saving lever does not work with smaller burners connected.
- The flame can be regulated from small to big by means of the regulating valve (no. 2).
- Please check always that the joint is gas-tight, before lighting the gas flame.
- For safety reasons and before operating the device, the support (see fig. II) must be fixed between burner and handle.
- The handle (no. 1) can be used without any problem with all the accessory parts in your portable soldering set.
To operate the device
Before operating the device, check that all the valves are closed. First open the valve on the propane cylinder, then open the regulating valve on the handle (no. 2) and light the flame at the burner tip. For this purpose, please use the enclosed piezoelectric gas lighter (refill with lighter gas CFH art. NO. 52103).
To use the single burners
- Fine soldering burner Ø 14 mm (no. 5), article no. 71108
- For the tinning of electric cables, soft-soldering and fine silver-soldering work or soldering on thin metal sheets. (Caution: The energy saving lever does not work with this burner).
- Burner-head Ø 20 mm, with elongated holes (no. 6), article no. 70010
- Fine soldering burner for soft- and hard-soldering of objects with a relatively small surface to heat up (connection of electric cables, hard-soldering of copper tubes with small cross section, soft-soldering of sheet iron pipes). The energy saving lever does not work with this burner.
- Turbo-burner up to 2000°C, Ø 27 mm (no. 9), article no. 71120
- Burner for soft- and hard-soldering of copper tubes of medium thickness for the working of thermoplastics, hardsoldering of brass up to 5 mm, of steel up to 8 mm. High working temperature of 800°C.
- Burner head Ø 36 mm, with elongated holes (no. 7) article no. 70006
- High power burner for hard- and soft-soldering works on metals which have to be heated up to extremely high temperatures. Soft-soldering of copper up to 50 mm Ø, hard-soldering of copper up to 30 mm Ø, of steel up to a cross-section of 14 mm and brass up to a section of 8 mm.
- Burner with removable copper piece 230 g (no. 10/11) article no. 70004
- For soft-soldering of copper and zinc, also for lead work. If the copper piece is screwed off, the device can even be used as a hard-soldering device for finer work.
- Soldering iron attachment with copper piece 100 g (no. 12) article no. 70026
- Particularly suitable for fine soldering work on electrical appliances and for soft-soldering during craftworks.
Flat-flame burner (no. 8) article no. 70028
For the browning of wood, paint-burning and tinning.

To close the device
- Close the cylinder valve at the propane gas cylinder and wait until the remaining gas in the hose has been burnt.
- Close the gas regulating valve on the handle (clockwise) and let the burner parts cool down. Please disassemble the device or pack the parts into the case only when they have cooled down. Check regularly especially the gas-tightness. To this end, cover the gas parts with a water-and-soap-solution or with CFH leak-seeking-spray article no. 52110 (special accessory sold separately). Never use an open flame.
Safety regulations
- Legal safety regulations for LPG must be observed absolutely! Keep the device out of the reach of children!
- Assembly and regulations set by the producer must not be modified. It could be dangerous to change the structure of the device, to remove parts or to use parts which are not approved by the manufacturer!
- Repairs must only be carried out by our CFH Technical Assistance or an authorised retailer. Please observe the safety regulations printed on the propane gas cylinder! The working area in which the device is used must be far from combustible materials. The device uses oxygen. Please ensure a sufficient ventilation of the rooms you are working in. The device should never be used in closed rooms. Please check the functioning of the device every time it is going to be used. Never operate a device showing defects. The device must not be used below ground level. The gas supply to the burner by manual regulation is only allowed for the time the burner is in use and under continual observation. During longer interruptions of the work or at the end of the shift, the gas supply has to be closed in any case by turning off the valve on the propane cylinder.
- For professional use it is necessary to mount a safety valve. This safety valve with triple protection CFH article no. 52118 is a special accessory and sold separately. The mounting of the safety valve has to be between the pres-sure-regulator (drawing I, no. 14) and the hose (no. 13). Do not leave the device unattended whilst on, because if the flame goes out gas might stream out, creating a potential danger.
- We hope you enjoy using your soldering set!
