General Safety Information
WARNING – Read the operating instructions to reduce the risk of injury.
Carefully read all safety warnings and instructions before using the machine.
Failure to follow the safety warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury. Keep all safety instructions and operating
instructions for future reference.
Initial Operation
-
Only attach the battery pack when the machine is switched off
-
When the biscuit joiner is not in use, before all servicing work, before changing the cutter, etc.: Remove the battery pack from the machine!
-
Check contacts of the battery slot for damage before inserting. If damage is found, replacement must be made immediately by a specialist
-
Do not drill into the motor case (e.g. to attach labels) since this damages the double insulation
-
Use only adhesive labels for labelling
-
Protect the machine from moisture
-
Always use the base plate. The base plate protects the operator from broken disc cutter fragments and unintentional contact with the cutter
-
The springs must pull back the base plate. If this is not the case, clean the guide (page 16, no. 7) or send it in for repair
-
Do not use the machine with a damaged base plate
-
The base plate must not be clamped with the cutter pushed out.
-
Use only perfectly sharpened cutters, since otherwise increased cutting forces may knock the work away
Safety instructions for biscuit joiners
Attention! Sharpen or replace blunt cutters! Blunt cutters lead to increased friction when inserting the connectors and may reduce the service life of the machine. If the machine is used inappro-priately (including the use of blunt cutters) the guarantee may be reduced.
- Use only cutters rated for manual feed
- Cutters must be rated for at least the speed marked on the tool. Cutters runnig over rated speed can break apart and cause injury

Dust-free working with the dust bag or a dust extractor
General Safety Information
Touching or inhaling dust can pose a hazard for users of the biscuit joiner or
persons in the vicinity. The safety regulations applicable in the respective
country must therefore be observed. To protect your health, wear a respiratory
mask, protective goggles and hearing protection and use a suitable device for
dust-free working.
WARNING: Health hazard due to dust

Initial Operation
The use of the Lamello dust bag is possible to a limited extent in battery
operation. The dust bag can be used to support self-sufficient work and
mobility in battery operation. To do this, push the dust bag onto the suction
stub of the machine as far as it will go. Empty the dust bag as soon as it is
1/3 full. Transport the dust bag separate from the machine and always with the
cover and the zip closed. Important information
When working with solid wood which produces fibrous and longer chips, a dust
extractor must be used to prevent fibres from remaining inside the machine,
getting stuck and thus restricting the function of the machine. Always connect
a suitable dust extractor in accordance with national regulations for work in
which carcinogenic substances can arise (in dusts of some wood species). Do
not use the dust bag for this.
Note: Connecting a battery-powered dust extractor enables mobile, mains- independent and even more efficient and cleaner working.
