INTRODUCTION

We developed this monochrome TASKalfa multifunctional series to answer the needs of busy and demanding offices. The ease of use and the outstanding reliability of these devices are due to their renowned long-life components. This makes each of them a valuable office tool to accompany your business routine day in, and day out.

A DEVICE TO ANSWER YOUR NEEDS.

Apart from printing at up to 35 pages per minute, these devices will also copy, scan in color, and optionally fax. You can access all these functions easily from the large touch panel on the device. There are several paper handling and finishing options you can add to your MFP to suit your personal needs. These include various paper cassettes offering a paper capacity of up to 4,100 sheets, a document processor for one-path duplex scanning and two extra finishers – one for stapling and punching and another one with a capacity of up to 3,000 pages.

To reduce your environmental footprint, we have developed a unique technology that makes this new TASKalfa series considerably more energy-efficient. All the parts assembled in our MFPs have been designed to provide productive, high-quality monochrome document output whilst keeping the downtime to an absolute minimum.

Their innovative image processing engine with the equivalent of a 9,600 x 600 dpi resolution generates sharp contrasts and ensures that all your documents are of outstanding clarity and gradation.

You can access all the functions offered by these devices via a new large color touch panel. It now has a customizable home screen and a “swipe” functionality that makes it easier to find the right settings.

These MFPs are equipped with advanced scanning technology achieving up to 160/100 ipm thanks to the optional one-path duplex scanning processor that scans your double-sided documents in a single step.
All the scanning options such as color or b/w scanning can be accessed directly from the control panel of the MFP. You can also select whether the scanned file should be sent to a server, to an email address or to a USb device; you can also choose between various saving formats including PDF, JPEG, TIFF, and XPS. A very convenient feature you may add to your MFP is the ability to turn scanned documents into text files: this will save you from a lot of tedious retyping when you have to edit a hard copy of a document.

The need for an efficient data protection system has never been greater than it is today. To protect against even the most determined data attacks, these new KYOCERA TASKalfa devices come equipped with IPsec and PDF encryption as standard. If you need even more efficient security options, you may choose between three different security kits: the Data Security Kit, the Document Guard Kit and the Card Authentication function.

The first effectively deletes and overwrites all the data stored on the hard disk during the printing, copying or scanning process. The second prevents any documents embedded with the print guard pattern from being copied, scanned or faxed. The third prevents unauthorised access of the data as all users need to identify themselves with their card to unlock the device.

HyPAS™, KYOCERA’s open software development platform, allows you to integrate the device into your existing business workflow. You can easily set it up from the control panel of the device, fitting it perfectly into your office environment when using ordinary business applications like Document management systems or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

You can enhance the flexibility and productivity of your TASKalfa 3010i/3510i multifunctional by simply adding extra options: choose from various paper cassettes, 2 different finishers and 3 different document processors to enhance the productivity of your device even further.

You may, for instance, increase the paper capacity of your multifunctional to 4,100 sheets with supplementary paper cassettes. With the according finisher, you can give your device the ability to staple and punch your documents, and boost its handling capacity to 3,200 sheets. Moreover, the document processors automatically scan your double-sided documents either in one path or by automatically reversing them. And don’t worry if your needs change over time: these handling options can be added as you need them and are compatible with most TASKalfa devices.

1. CARD AUTHENTICATION
   The card authentication function not only optimally protects your most sensitive documents; it also allows for personalised use of the device.

2. DOCUMENT PROCESSORS
   There are 3 different document processors you can add to your device:

   • DP-773: 50-sheet automatic reversing document processor.
   • DP-770 (b): 100-sheet automatic reversing document processor.
   • DP-772: 175-sheet dual-scan document processor. Scans double-sided documents in one path.

3. FINISHERS
   To allow your device to finish your documents optimally, you can supplement it with a finishing unit corresponding to your needs:

   • DF-791: this 3,000-sheet finisher supports the MT-730 mailbox.
   • DF-770 (D): the 1,000-sheet finisher that staples in three positions can be enhanced with an optional punching function.

   To allow your device to master the heaviest workloads, you can complement it with several paper cassettes up to a maximal capacity of 4,100 sheets:
