Thank you for purchasing Chompers the Number Dino™.
This hungry dino uses silly jokes to teach numbers, counting, colors and names of foods.

WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE
Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

Unlock the Packaging Locks

Rotate the packaging locks 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Pull out the packaging locks and discard.

Remove the Product Attachments

  1. Carefully cut the two ties on the storage door with a pair of scissors and discard.

  2. Open the storage door. Take out the paper inside the dino and discard.

GETTING STARTED

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.

  2. Find the battery cover located on the left side of the dino’s body, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw, and then open the battery cover.

  3. Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.

  4. Install 2 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.)

  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

WARNING:
Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

  • Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from the toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Activate Normal Play Mode

Before playing with the unit, activate Normal play mode by feeding the dino two Food Pieces within 20 seconds.
You will hear three beeps to indicate that the unit is in Normal play mode.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. Off/Low/High Volume Selector
    To turn the unit On or adjust the volume, slide the Off/Low/High  Volume Selector to Low or High . To turn the unit Off, slide the selector to Off .

  2. Mode Selector
    Slide the Mode Selector to choose from three activities: Music , Learning or Quiz mode.

  3. 9 Food Pieces
    Each Food Piece features a color, a number and a food. Feed the dino to learn fun facts, listen to sing-along songs or answer questions.

  4. 3 Light-Up Buttons
    Press the Light-Up Buttons to learn about colors and feelings, hear sing-along songs or answer questions.

  5. Dino Spinner
    Turn the Dino Spinner to spin Food Pieces inside the dino, play sing-along songs and hear fun facts.

  6. Pull Cord
    Pull the dino along to hear fun melodies and dino sounds.

  7. Storage Door
    Keep the storage door closed when feeding the dino the Food Pieces. Open the storage door to remove the Food Pieces. When playtime is done, store the Food Pieces in the compartment.

  8. Automatic Shut-Off
    To preserve battery life, the Chompers the Number Dino™ will automatically shut off after several seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by sliding the Mode Selector or the Off/Low/High Volume Selector to any position.

TO BEGIN PLAY

Slide the Off/Low/High Volume Selector to Low or High volume to turn the unit on, then slide the Mode Selector to choose an activity.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Music Mode
    Slide the Mode Selector to to enter Music mode. Feed the dino, press the Light-Up Buttons or turn the Dino Spinner to listen to sing-along songs. Pull the dino along to hear melodies and fun sounds.

  2. Learning Mode
    Slide the Mode Selector to ****to enter Learning mode. Feed the dino, press the Light-Up Buttons or turn the Dino Spinner to learn about colors, numbers, food and feelings.

  3. Quiz Mode
    Slide the Mode Selector to to enter Quiz mode. The dino will ask questions about food, colors, numbers and feelings. Insert a Food Piece or press a Light-Up Button to answer. Turn the Dino Spinner to repeat the question.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  3. Remove the batteries if the unit is not in use for an extended period of time.
  4. Do not drop the unit on a hard surface and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the unit stops working, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn the unit Off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batterie
