Product Usage Instructions

Connecting the BMS to the EI Inverter:

  1. Crimp provided MC4 connectors to the battery charging cables found in the BMS box.
  2. Connect the BMS and inverter BMS RJ-45 ports with the BMS COM cable.

Placing the Battery:

  1. Place the base of the battery 20 mm from the wall and adjust levelers.
  2. If using a single battery: attach the battery bracket to the top of the battery and the wall.
  3. If using a second battery: attach it to the first battery and attach the bracket.
  4. If using a separate stack of batteries: attach two cover brackets on the top-most battery and place the top cover.

Connecting the BMS to the EI Link:

(Applicable for three-phase systems only)

  • Connect an earthing wire to the link.

Connecting the BMS to the Battery:

  1. Ensure the BMS switch is OFF.
  2. Connect an earthing cable from the BMS to the battery.
  3. Connect a battery module power cable from the BMS B+ with a COM cable.

Connecting Two or More Batteries in Series:

Make connections in the correct order to avoid damaging the battery and voiding the warranty.

  • Connect earthing cables between all enclosures and ensure the BMS switch is OFF.

  • Connect COM cables as follows:

    1. Connect a COM cable between the BMS COMM port and the first
      battery COM1 port.

    2. Connect a COM cable between the first battery COM2 port and the
      next battery COM1 port.

Three-Battery Wiring:

If connecting to three or four batteries in a separate stack, order the accessory kit (Tigo p/n 707-100000-0001) that includes an additional base, wall bracket, cover, and longer cables. Place the separate stack 300 mm away from the main system.

Four-Battery Wiring:

Refer to the diagram provided for four-battery wiring instructions.
