Product Information

The Air Gap (Part Number: PFAG100*) is a device designed to prevent backflow and contamination of the potable water supply. It is made of metal and plastic materials, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before installation, shut off the main water supply.
  2. Remove the cap (1) and ribbed nut (2) from the air gap.
  3. Insert the air gap (1) through the sink deck hole, leaving approximately 1/2” of the body threads showing above the sink deck. Back the ribbed nut (2) down if necessary.
  4. Thread the ribbed nut (1) fully onto the body and tighten it firmly. Snap the cap (3) onto the ribbed nut (1) with the slotted vents (4) facing the wall.
  5. Ensure that the air gap is installed in a way that the flood level mark (F/L) is at or above the flood level of the sink or any other receptacle connected to the sanitary drain where the air gap discharges.
  6. Connect the dishwasher outlet hose (5/8” I.D.) (1) to the air gap inlet (smaller diameter leg) (2) and to the dishwasher outlet (3) using hose clamps (4).
  7. Connect the drain hose (7/8” I.D.) (5) to the air gap outlet (larger dimension leg) (6) and to a Y fitting (7) or disposer (8) using hose clamps.
  8. Ensure there is no torsion or deformation in the flexible hose during installation. Do not fold it into Shape V or L. Do not use if there is any crack or deformation.
  9. Remove the old faucet and clean the sink surface before installing the new faucet.

Note: It is recommended to have the fittings installed by a licensed plumber to ensure proper installation and functionality of the air gap.

Care Instructions:
To keep the air gap looking new and maintain its performance, periodically clean it with a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool, and harsh chemicals as they may dull the finish and void the warranty.
