Description
The ASTATIC 575M-G “power” microphonic offers the CB’ er modern “teardrop” styling und features along with the sound and “talk-power” mads famous by the ASTATIC D104 for over 60 years.
An output impedance compatible with the inputs of almost all commercial transceivers and externally adjustable high gain amplifier ensures desired modulation level, The 575M-6 has easily accessible stride controls for volume and tone adjustment so thali the correct modulation level and tone quality can be sel for cache operators voice. The §75M-6 preamplifier is powered by a readily available, casily replaced, 9 volt butlery. Connector-Cable Clamping
If the microphone plug you have selected for your hookup requirements does not
have a cable clamp suitable for our small diameter high quality microphone
cable, use tubing as supplied by ASTATIC. Simply slip tubing over cable prior
to soldering of lead wires. Position it to ensure proper clamping of cable and
tubing by the connector.

Battery Replacement
Remove the rear housing by removing the four screws. Carefully lift off he
reur housing. Unsnap the batlery from (he battery connector and install a new
battery. Carefully replace the rear housing and fasten with The four screws
previously removed. Depress the switeh lever fully while tightcning the
screws.
Volume and Tone Adjustments
At a speaking distance of approximately 2 inches (or the position you preter)
with the external volume control set at ) and the tone control set in the
center position, wdjust the volume control for the correet modulation level,
Sliding the volume control toward 9 increases the volume. The externil tone
control should then be adjusted for the most intelligible saund. Slide the
tone control taward 0 for an increase in bass response and towards 9 for u
decrease in bass response.
