The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are gaming consoles that offer next-level illumination with customizable RGB LED lighting. To set up the RGB lighting system, you need to install the Seagate Toolkit on a Windows or Mac PC. Once installed, you can connect the compatible Seagate Game Drive to your computer and use the Toolkit to select the colors and patterns that will be displayed while gaming with the Xbox.
It’s important to note that drives formatted for Xbox cannot be used for data management on Windows or macOS computers. However, you can still connect the compatible Seagate Game Drive to your computer to manage RGB LEDs using the Toolkit. To protect your data, always follow the safe removal procedures for your operating system when disconnecting the product.
Product Usage Instructions
- Install the Seagate Toolkit on a Windows or Mac PC by visiting www.seagate.com/support/toolkit.
- Connect the compatible Seagate Game Drive to your computer.
- Open the Seagate Toolkit software.
- Select the RGB LED lighting option.
- Choose the desired colors and patterns for the LED lighting.
- Save the settings.
- Disconnect the Game Drive from your computer following the safe removal procedures for your operating system.

China RoHS 2 refers to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
Order No. 32, effective July 1, 2016, titled Management Methods for the
Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic
Products. To comply with China RoHS 2, we determined this product’s
Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP) to be 20 years in accordance with
the Marking for the Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electronic and
Electrical Products, SJT 11364-2014.
Taiwan RoHS table
Taiwan RoHS refers to the Taiwan Bureau of Standards, Metrology and
Inspection’s (BSMI’s) requirements in standard CNS 15663, Guidance to
reduction of the restricted chemical substances in electrical and electronic
equipment. Beginning on January 1, 2018, Seagate products must comply with the
“Marking of presence” requirements in Section 5 of CNS 15663. This product is
Taiwan RoHS compliant.
The following table meets the Section 5 “Marking of presence” requirements.
