Recommended Assembly Workspace & Practices
- Place all parts on a clean surface such as a rug or carpet to avoid scratches.
- Two or more people are recommended for assembly.
- Remove all packaging materials, before beginning the assembly process.
Step 1
A. Remove all objects, accessories, and attached components from the desk
since you will be inverting them for this installation.
B. Press and hold the Down Button to bring the desk to its lowest position,
then unplug the desk from the electrical outlet.
C. Prior to flipping the desk over, move it to a suitable area free from
clutter or obstruction. We recommend resting the desktop on a carpet or
blanket.
Be aware of any cables or attached components and secure them before flipping
the desk.
- Note: When flipping the desk, always hold the frame and the desktop together. Lifting by the desktop only could put stress on improperly fastened screws connecting the desktop to the frame and may cause them to separate from the frame if they were not attached properly.
D. You and a friend should each hold on to the rear edge of the desktop with
one hand and hold a leg with the other hand.
E. Supporting both the desk frame and the desktop, slowly tilt the desktop
toward the rear of the desk until the back edge of the desktop is resting on
the ground.
F. Hold onto the leg and the front edge of the desktop, then tilt the desk
another 90 degrees until the desk is upside down and resting on a carpet or
blanket.
Step 2
A. If your desk has casters installed and you plan to use them with the new
Feet, remove them from each of the currently installed peg feet. You may need
a 0.5” (13mm) flat wrench or thin adjustable crescent wrench to remove the
casters.
B. Using the included 4mm Allen Wrench, remove each of the M6x14 Machine
Screws that are holding the peg feet to the legs (four screws per peg foot).
Step 3
A. Place one of the new Feet on top of two legs on one side of the desk, as
shown, with the pre-installed leveling glides facing up. Each leg should fit
inside the rectangular holes in the foot.
B. Insert, but do not tighten, an M6x14mm Machine Screw into each of the eight
threaded holes.
- Note: If you are having difficulty aligning the holes in the Foot with the holes in the legs, use the 4mm Allen Wrench to loosen, WITHOUT REMOVING, the four screws that attach each leg to the crossbar ends. Be sure to firmly tighten these screws again once the Foot has been fastened to the legs.
C. Once all eight screws have been started, tighten them with the 4mm Allen
Wrench.
D. Repeat the previous steps for the second new Foot.
E. The desk frame screws can become loose over time or may not have been
completely tightened during the initial assembly. Since the desk is upside
down, take the opportunity to ensure all frame screws are tight using the 4mm,
Allen Wrench.
Step 4
A. If you are replacing casters removed in Step 2, first remove the pre-
installed leveling glides by unscrewing them, no tool necessary.
B. Thread the casters into the Feet and use a 0.5” (12mm) flat wrench to
tighten each caster.
C. Ensure the casters are in the locked position before flipping your desk
upright again to ensure the desk does not move as you flip it onto the
casters. To lock the casters, flip the lever at the back of each caster to the
down position (towards the ceiling when the desk is upside down) and test the
wheel to make sure it does not turn.
Step 5
A. With the help of a friend, flip the desk upright. Refer to Step 1 and
reverse those instructions.
B. Move the desk back to its location.
- If you have casters installed, make sure the casters are not locked and roll them to the location.
- If you are using the pre-installed leveling glides, carefully lift the desk with two or more people and move it to its location – DO NOT drag the desk as this may cause damage to the desk and floor.
C. Once the desk is in position, reinstall any accessories that had been
removed and plug the power cord back into the outlet.
D. Before use, perform the reset procedure below.
This is an important step.
Reset Procedure
Before using the desk, you must first perform this Reset Procedure:
