KITCHEN MICROWAVE
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS DEVICE
IMPORTANT SAFET YINST RUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should be followed,
including the following:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, injury to
persons or exposure to excessive microwave energy:

Read all instructions before using the appliance.

Read and follow the specific: “PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY” found on page 2.

This appliance must be grounded. Connect only to properly grounded outlet. See “GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS” found on page 4.

Install or locate this appliance only in accordance with the provided installation instructions.

Some products such as whole eggs and sealed containers – for example, closed glass jars – are able to explode and should not be heated in this oven.
-
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in the manual. Do not use corrosive chemicals or vapors in this appliance. This type of oven is specifically designed to heat, cook or dry food. It is not designed for industrial or laboratory use.

As with any appliance, close supervision is necessary when used by children.
-
Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.

This appliance should be serviced only by qualified service personnel. Contact nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.

Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.

Do not store this appliance outdoors. Do not use this product near water – for example near a kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or similar location.

Do not immerse cord or plug in water.

Keep cord away from heated surface.

Do not let cord hang over edge o f table or counter.

When cleaning surfaces of door and oven that comes together on closing the door, use only mild, nonabrasive soaps, or detergent applied with a sponge or soft cloth.

To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
(1). Do not overcook food. Carefully attend appliance when paper, plastic, or other combustible materials are placed inside the oven to facilitate cooking.
(2). Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bag before placing bag in oven.
(3). If material insidde of the oven ignite, keep oven door closed, turn oven off, and disconnect the power cord, or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.
(4). Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils, or food in the cavity when not in use. -
Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea are able to be overheated beyond the boiling point without appearing to be boiling. Visible bubbling or boiling when the container is removed from the microwave oven is not always present.
THIS COULD RESULT IN VERY HOT LIQUID SUDDENLY BOILING OVER WHEN THE CONTAINER IS DISTURBED OR A UTENSIL IS INSERTED INTO THE LIQUID.
To reduce the risk of injury to persons:
1. Do not overheat liquids.
2. Stir the liquid before and halfway through cooking.
3. Do not use containers with straight sides and narrow necks.
4. After heating, allow the container to stand in the microwave for a short time before removing it.
5. Use extreme caution when inserting spoons or other utensils into the container. -
Large-sized food or large metal utensils should not be inserted into a microwave/toaster oven as they can create a fire or electric shock hazard.

Do not clean with metal wire pastes. Parts of the paste may come off and touch the electrical parts resulting in a risk of electrical shock.
-
Do not use paper products when the appliance is used in the toaster mode.
-
Do not store any materials, other than those accessories recommended by the manufac turer, inside the oven when not in use.
-
Do not cover the shelves or any other part of the oven with aluminum foil. This will cause the oven to overheat.
PRECAUTIONS TO PREVENT POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY
a. Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open, as operation with
the door open may result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is
important not to tamper with or damage the safety locks.
b. Do not block any objects between the front face and the door or allow dirt
or cleaning fluid residue to accumulate on the sealing surfaces.
c. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that
the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the door:
- DOOR (bent)
- HINGES AND BOLTS (broken or loose)
- DOOR SEALS AND SEALING SURFACES
d. The oven must not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service personnel.
Kitchen Installation
Remove all packing material and accessories.
Examine the oven door for any damage such as dentures or broken door.
Do not install if the oven is damaged.
Cabinet: Remove any protective film found in the microwave or on the
surface of the cabinet. Do not remove the light brown Mica coating that is
attached to the oven cavity to protect the magnetron.
Installation
-
Select a surface level that providesufficient space for the extraction and introduction fans.A minimum clearance of 3.0 inches (7.5cm) is required between the oven and the adjacent walls. One side must be open.
1. Leave a minimum of 12 inches (30cm) above the oven.
2. Do not remove legs under the oven.
3.Blocking the extraction and/or insertion openings may damage the oven.
4. Place the oven as far away from radios and televisions as possible. Operating the micro wave oven may cause interfer ence with your radio or TV receiver. -
Plug your oven into a standard house hold outlet. Make sure that the voltage and frequency are the same as the voltage and frequency rating label.
WARNING: Do not install the oven over a heat-producing application. Installing it near or over a heat source may damage the oven and void the warranty.
The accessible surface may be hot during operation.
CON NECTION INSTRUC TIONS
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit,
being grounded reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape
wire for the electrical current.
This application is equipped with a cable with a grounding wire and a
grounding connector.
The connector must be connected to a properly installed ground.
WARNING – Improper use of the ground connection may result in a risk of
electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician or service personnel if the connection
instructions are not completely understood, or if there is any doubt as to
whether the application is properly grounded. If an extension cord is
required, use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-pin connector, and a
3-hole receptacle that will accept the connector in the application.
The marked rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the
rating of the application.
DANGER – Risk of electric shock Touching any of the internal components
can cause serious personal injury or death. Do not disassemble this
application.
DANGER – Risk of Electrical Shock Improper use of the grounding
connection may result in electrical shock. Do not connect the plug to an
outlet until the application is properly installed and grounded.
- A short power cable is provided to reduce the risks resulting from entanglement or tripping over a long cable.
- Long cables or extension cords are available and can be used if care is taken.
- If a long cable or extension cord is used:
1. The marked electrical rating of the cable or extension cord should be the same rating as the application.
2. The extension cable should be a three-wire grounding cable.
3. The long cable should be placed so that it does not fall on the counter or table where it can be pulled by children or cause accidental tripping.
RADIO INTERFERENCE
- Operating the microwave may cause interference with your radio, TV or similar equipment.
- When interference occurs, it can be reduced or eliminated by taking the following measures:
1. Clean the door and sealing surface of the oven
2. Reorient the radio or television receiving antenna
3. Set the microwave oven in the opposite direction from the receiver
4. Move the microwave away from the receiver
5. Plug the microwave into a different outlet so that the oven and receiver are on different circuits
SECURITY
- The oven must be on a level surface.
- The turntable and turntable roller must be placed inside the oven during use. Place the turntable gently on the turntable and handle it carefully to avoid possible breakage.
- Incorrect use of reheating plates may cause the turntable to break.
- Use only the specified size bag when using the Popcorn feature.
- The oven has several built-in safety switches to ensure that the power remains off when the door is open. Do not tamper with these switches.
- Do not operate the oven when it is empty. Operating the oven without food or food with low humidity may cause a fire, charring, or sparks.
- Do not cook bacon directly on the turntable. Excessive heat can cause the turntable to break.
- Do not heat bottles or baby food in the microwave. It can get unevenly hot and cause physical illness.
- Do not heat containers with narrow necks, such as syrup bottles.
- Do not try to fry things in your microwave oven.
- Do not attempt to vacuum pack in this microwave oven, as it is impossible to be sure that all the contents of the container have reached boiling temperature.
- Do not use this microwave for commercial purposes. This microwave oven is intended for home use only.
- To prevent late boiling of hot liquids and drinks and burns, stir the liquid before placing it in the oven and again at half the cooking time. Let stand in the oven for a moment and stir again before removing from the container.
- Use caution when cooking food in the microwave to avoid burns from overcooking.
- When the appliance is being operated in combination mode, children should only use the oven under adult supervision because of the temperatures generated.
- Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition may result in deterioration that could adversely affect the life of the appliance and could result in a hazardous situation.

Oven Part Names and Accessories
Remove the oven and all materials from the cardboard and the oven opening.
Your oven comes with the following accessories:
Turntable Installation
a. Never turn the glass tray upside down. The glass should never be
restricted.
b. The glass tray and turntable ring must always be used during cooking.
c. All food and food containers must be placed on the glass cooking tray.
d. If the glass tray or turntable ring breaks, contact your nearest authorized
service center.

- Automatic menu: Popcorn, potatoes, pizza, frozen vegetables, drinks and dinner

- Stop/Cancel: clears all previously pressed options to start the cooking. During cooking: press once to stop the oven; two to stop and erase all entries.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
-
Energy Level
11 energy levels are available. -
Clock settings
When the microwave oven is plugged into an outlet, the oven will display “0:00”
1. Press “CLOCK”, the LED will show 00: 00;
2. Press the number keys and enter the correct time. The time entry should be 1: 00-12: 59.
For example, if it is now 10:12, press “1,0,1,2”.
3. Press “CLOCK”. to confirm and the clock will light up.
Note: (1) If the time entry is more than 1: 00-12: 59, the setting is not valid. You cannot confirm and finish the setting by pressing “CLOCK”.
(2) If you want to reset the clock, repeat steps 1 to 3. -
Kitchen timer
1. Press “KITCHEN TIMER”, the LED will show 00:00, the first hour figure will flash.
2. Press the number keys and enter the correct time (maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds).
3. Press “START/+30SEC. To confirm the setting.
4. When the set time is reached, the buzzer will sound 5 times. If the clock is set, the LED will show the current time. -
Microwave Cook
1. Press “TIME COOK” once, the screen will display “00:00”.
2. Press number keys to input the cooking time; the maximum cooking time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
3. Press “POWER” once, the screen will display “PL10”. The default power is 100% power.
Now you can press number keys to adjust the power level.
4. Press “START/+30SEC.” to start cooking.
Example: to cook food with 50% microwave power for 15 minutes:
1. Press “TIME COOK” once. “00:00” displays.
2. Press “1”, “5”, “0”, “0” in order.
3. Press “POWER” once, then press “5” to select 50% microwave power.
4. Press “START/+30SEC” to start cooking. -
Fast Cooking
1. In standby mode, instantaneous cooking at 100% power can be started by selecting a cooking time from 1 to 6 minutes by pressing the number buttons 1 to 6. Press “START/+30SEC” to increase the cooking time. The maximum is 99 minutes and 99
seconds.
2. In standby mode, the instantaneous cooking at 100% power with a cooking time of 30 seconds can be started by pressing “START/+30SEC” each time you press the button will increase the cooking time by 30 seconds. The maximum time is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
Note: during microwave cooking and defrosting, time can be added by pressing
“START/+30SEC”. -
Defrosted by Weight
1. Press “WEIGHT DEFROST” once to choose the defrost by weight function, “dEF1” is displayed.
2. Press the number buttons to enter the weight to defrost. The weight range should be between 4 ~ 100 oz.
3. If the weight entry is not within 4 ~ 100, the entry will be invalid. The Microwave does not work until valid numbers are entered.
4. Press “START/+30SEC.” to begin defrosting and the cooking time will be displayed. -
Defrosting by Time
1. Press “TIME DEFROST” twice to select the function, the display will show “dEF2”.
2. Press the number buttons to enter the defrost time. The effective time range is 00: 01 ~ 99:99.
Note: 1. If the time entry is not within 00: 01 ~ 99: 99, no “beep” will sound and the microwave will not function until a valid number is entered.
2. The default microwave power level is 3.
3. Press “START/30SEC” to begin defrosting, cooking time will be displayed. -
Popcorn
1. Press “POPCORN” repeatedly until the desired number appears on the display, “1.75”, “3.0”, “3.5” Oz will be shown in that order. For example, press “POPCORN” once, “1.75” appears
2. Press “START/+30SEC” to cook, it will ring once, when it finishes cooking, the bell will ring 5 times and then return to standby.
Note: The size of this oven is ideal for 3.0 ounce popcorn bags. If you select a larger bag, we recommend that you fold the edges of the bag to improve the ability of the bag to rotate as it expands while cooking. If the bag jams, stop the cooking process, open the oven door and adjust the bag to ensure even cooking. -
Potatoes
(a) Press “POTATO” repeatedly until the number you want appears on the display “1”, “2”,
“3” appears in order.
“1” SET: 1 Potato
“2” SETS” 2 Potatoes
“3” SETS: 3 Potatoes
For example, press “POTATO” once, “1” will appear. (b) Press START/30+SEC” to cook, the sound will sound 1 time, when the sound is over it will sound 5 times and then return to standby. -
Pizza
(a) Press “PIZZA” repeatedly until the number you want appears on the display. “4.0”, “8.0”, “14.0” will appear in order. For example, press PIZZA once and “4.0” will appear.
b) Press START/30+SEC” to cook, the sound will sound 1 time, when the sound ends it will sound 5 times and then return to standby. -
Beverage
(a) Press “BEVERAGE” repeatedly until the number you want appears on the display. “1”, “2”, “3” cups will appear in order. One cup is approximately 120ml. For example, press “Beverage” once and “1” will appear.
b) Press START/30+SEC” to cook, the sound will sound 1 time, when the sound is over it will sound 5 times and then return to standby. -
Dinners
(a) Press “DINNER PLATE” repeatedly until the number you wish to remove appears on the display. “9.0”, “12.0”, “18.0” Oz will appear in order.
For example, press “DINNER PLATE” once and “9.0” will appear.
b) Press START/30+SEC” to cook, the sound will sound 1 time, when the sound is over it will sound 5 times and then return to standby. -
Frozen Vegetables
(a) Press “FROZEN VEGETABLE” repeatedly until the number you want to remove appears on the display. “4.0”, “8.0”, “16.0” Oz will appear in order.
For example, press “FRESH VEGETABLE” once and “4.0” will appear.
b) Press START/30+SEC” to cook, the sound will sound 1 time, when the sound is over it will sound 5 times and then return to standby. -
Memory function
1. Press “0/MEMORY” to select memory setting, function 1 to 3.
2. If the setting has been programmed, press “START/+30SEC” to use it. If not, continue until the configuration is chosen. Only 1 or 2 attempts are allowed.
3. After completing the setting, pressing 0/MEMORY once to save the setting will return to the standby mode. Pressing “START/+30SEC” again will save the setting and start cooking.
Note: Menu auto cooking cannot be set as a memory function.
Example: to program the following setting as the second memory for cooking food with 80% of the oven power for 3 minutes and 20 seconds The steps are as follows:
1. In waiting states, press “0/MEMORY” twice, stop pressing until the screen displays “2”.
2.Press “TIME COOK” once, then press “3”, “2”, “0” in order.
3. Press “POWER” once, “PL10” displays, then press “8” and “PL8” displays.
4. Press “START/+30SEC.” to save the setting. Buzzer sounds once and the screen will display “2”. If you press “START/+30SEC.” again, the procedure will be saved as the memory 2 and operated.
5. If the electricity is not cut off, the procedure will be saved all the time. If it is, the procedure need to reset.
6. If you want to run the saved procedure, in waiting state, press “0/MEMORY” twice, screen displays “2”, then press “START/+30SEC.” to run. -
Multi Phase Cooking
A maximum of 2 programs can be selected for cooking. In multi-stage cooking, if one stage is defrosting, then defrosting will automatically switch to the first stage.
Note: Auto Cooking will not work in Multi-Stage cooking.
Example: to thaw 10 oz. of beef first and then cook with 80% microwave power for 7 minutes.
(1) Press “WEIGHT DEFROST” once to select the defrost by weight function. The “dEF1” function will be displayed.
(2) Press “1”, “0” in sequence to set the weight.
(3) Press “TIME COOK” once, then press “7”, “0”, “0” to set the cooking time;
(4) Press “POWER” once, then press “8” to select 80% microwave power.
(5) Press START/+30SEC. to start cooking.
When defrosting is complete, the buzzer sounds once, then the second stage begins.
Note: (1) The Auto menu cannot be set as one of the 2 stages.
(2) Time defrost can be set as one of the stages. -
Consultation Function
1. In multiphase function press “CLOCK” the led will show the time 3 seconds if the time has been set.
2. In oven cooking status, press “POWER” to check the power level and the current microwave power will be displayed. After three seconds, the oven will return to its previous state. -
Child Safety Operation
Lock: In standby mode press “STOP/CANCEL” for 3 seconds, it speaks a long beep confirming the Child Lock function. To remove the lock, press “STOP/CANCEL” for 3 seconds, you will hear a long beep confirming that the function is disabled. -
Remind End of Cooking Function
When cooking is complete, the buzzer will sound 5 “beeps” to alert the user that cooking is complete. -
Other Specifications
1. In standby mode, if the digital tube of the configured clock displays the current time, the “:” icon flashes; otherwise, it displays “0:00”.
2. In the setting function status, the LED shows the corresponding setting.
3. In the operating or pause state, the LED shows an excess cooking time.
TOOL GUIDE
WARNING – Risk of personal injury
Tightly closed utensils could explode. Closed containers should be opened and
plastic bags punctured before cooking. See instructions under “Materials You
Can Use in a Microwave Oven or Avoid in a Microwave Oven.
There may be certain non-metallic utensils that are not microwave safe. If in
doubt, you can test the utensil as follows.
Test for Utensils:
- Fill a microwave container with one cup of cold water (250ml) along with the utensil in question.
- Cook on maximum power for one minute.
- Carefully touch the utensil. If the utensil is hot, do not use it for microwave cooking.
- Do not exceed one minute of cooking time.
Materials you can use in a microwave oven
Utensil | Comment |
---|---|
Roast Plate | Follow the manufacturer’s instructions*. The bottom of the plate |
should be at least 3/16 inches (5mm) above the turntable. Improper use can
cause the turntable to break.
Tableware| Only if it’s safe to use in a microwave. Follow the manufacturer’s
instructions. Do not use broken or cracked dishes.
Glass Containers| Always remove the cover. Use only heat to warm the food.
Most glass containers are not heat-resistant and can break.
Glassware| Only heat-resistant glassware for use in the oven. Make sure there
is no metal edge. Do not use broken or cracked dishes.
Paper Towel| Use to cover food to reheat and absorb fat. Use with supervision
only for short term cooking.
Parchment Paper| Use as a cover to prevent spills or wrap to steam.
Plastic| Only if it’s safe to use in a microwave. Follow the manufacturer’s
instructions. Must be labeled “for microwave use”. Some plastic containers
will soften as the food heats up. “Boil-in bags” and bags that are sealed
should be opened, perforated, or ventilated as indicated on the packaging.
Plastic Wrapping| Only if it’s safe to use in a microwave. Use to cover food
during cooking to retain moisture. Do not allow the wrapper to touch the food.
Thermometers| Only if it is safe to use in a microwave (meat and candy
thermometers).
Waxed paper| Use as a cover to prevent spills and maintain moisture.
Materials to avoid in the microwave

Plastic Foam| Plastic foam can melt or contaminate the liquid inside when
exposed to high temperatures.
Wood| The wood dries when used in the microwave and may crack or split.
