Product Information
Stoltzen Typhoon Series
The Stoltzen Typhoon Series consists of two models: Stoltzen Typhoon XD Series and Stoltzen Typhoon X Series DSP’s. This series is designed for audio processing and control in professional audio applications.
Device Interface Connection
- The POWER port connects the 110V-220V AC power supply, and the processor power supply is controlled by a rocker switch.
- The ETHERNET port establishes a connection between the device and a client computer for debugging, programming, and monitoring purposes.
- The Dante port connects the device to a Dante audio network.
- The RS232+RS485 port connects the device to control terminals or central control equipment.
- The GPIO port serves a similar function and connects control terminals or central control equipment.
- The OUTPUT port connects the device to power amplifiers, active speakers, and other equipment.
- The INPUT port connects the device to line signals, microphones, and other audio source equipment.
Installation, Use, and Maintenance Guidelines
To ensure the reliable use of equipment and the safety of personnel, please observe the following items:

Product Usage Instructions
Setting up and Configuring Stoltzen Typhoon DSP
Power Up
- Connect your DSP to a power outlet. Do not connect anything to your input or output ports.
- Turn on the power using the power switch.
- Wait for the power indicator (PWR) to turn on.
- Wait for the system status indicator (STATUS) to start flashing.
- Once the STATUS indicator starts flashing, the device has successfully booted up. Note: The USB sound card device interface (USB) should not need to be connected during the boot-up process.
Setting IP
Connect a computer to the DSP’s Ethernet Port. To configure your client network for the Stoltzen Typhoon Series device, follow these steps:
- Ensure that the IP address of your client host is in the same network segment as the processor. The default IP address of the processor is 169.254.10.227, and the subnet mask is 255.255.0.0.
- After searching for the device, Stoltzen FLOW (Software) can modify the IP address of the processor to suit your network configuration.
Software Download
To download and install the Stoltzen FLOW software for your Stoltzen Typhoon Series device, follow these steps:
- Set the IP address of your local PC to fit the factory default IP address of the equipment.
- Once ready, use the browser to access the processor.
- Find the download link of the PC-end Software (Stoltzen FLOW Software) and download it to your local PC to complete the installation.
Note: Before installing the PC software, make sure that Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 version 4.0 or above is installed on your PC.

Thank you for purchasing the Stoltzen Typhoon Series! These instructions apply
to both the Stoltzen Typhoon XD Series and Stoltzen Typhoon X Series DSP’s.

To ensure the reliable use of equipment and the safety of personnel, please observe the following items during installation, use, and maintenance:
- During equipment installation, ensure that the ground wire in the power cord is well grounded and that the grounding point of the chassis is also well grounded. Do not use a two-core plug. Ensure that the input power of the equipment is 100V-240V, 50/60Hz alternating current.
- Keep the working environment well-ventilated to ensure that the heat generated by the equipment at work can be discharged in time, so as not to damage the equipment due to high temperature.
- When the equipment is not used for a long time or in a humid and dewy environment, turn off the total power supply of the equipment.
- Before removing or reinstalling any part of the equipment, or disconnecting or reconnecting any electrical plug or connection, be sure to unplug the AC power cord of the equipment from the power supply socket.
- Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble the equipment without permission, as there are AC high voltage components in the equipment which could pose a risk of electric shock. Do not repair without permission to avoid aggravating the damage degree of the equipment.
- Do not spill any corrosive chemicals or liquids on or near the equipment.

Setting up and Configuring Stoltzen Typhoon DSP
Power Up
