This conversion kit will add Beach Wheels to an existing Suspend Double-Up (22-9934) or Single-Up (22-9911) or Double Trouble (22-9935) SUP Airless Cart. It consists of an axle extender that inserts inside the existing axle to make it long enough to support the wider Beach Wheels.

Drill Mounting Holes in Existing Cart Axle (if required)

Note: Starting in 2023, Suspenz SUP Airless Carts have a pre-drilled hole in the axle that accepts the Axle Converter. For earlier versions of the SUP Carts, a hole must be drilled in each axle using the supplied Drill bit and Drilling Guide.

1. Remove existing airless wheels from cart frame.
2. Slide the Drilling Guide onto an axle. Use a D-Ring to secure the Drilling Guide to the existing axle hole (there will be some play).
3. Note: each axle will have two holes (front side and back side). Each hole is drilled separately using the drilling guide (do not drill all the way through both sides of the axle in one operation as the bit will wander resulting in offset holes). Use an Electric Drill and the supplied drill bit, drill a hole through one side of the axle tube.
4. Now drill the backside hole from the other side of the Drilling Guide. There is some play in the guide, so visually align the guide with the first drilled hole.
5. Now repeat the process for the axle on the other side of the cart.

Assembly

1. Remove existing airless wheels from cart frame.
2. Slide Axle Converter in to existing axle. Secure the Axel Converter with a D-Ring so that D-Ring hangs down when closed. Repeat for other side of cart.
3. Inflate Balloon Wheels with the included Air Pump. When inflated, wheel has a defame- term of 12″ to 13″. It will feel soft, that is why it works well in sand. About 30 pumps.
4. Slide Balloon Wheel over converted axle then insert a Quick-Release Wheel Pin in hole next to wheel and flip the lock ring over the end of the axle to secure the wheel in place.
5. Repeat process for other side of the cart.

Note: If wheels are “plowing sand” instead of riding over the sand, inflate wheels an addi- tional 3 to 5 pumps.

Caution! Do not use an electric air pump. It is easy to inflate a wheel beyond 3 psi and rupture it. Suspenz will not warranty a wheel that ruptures due to over inflation.
