Important Notes
- To successfully perform these pairing instructions, an original, working key must be present. If an original, working key is not available, refer to the owner’s manual instructions for pairing without a working key.
- The new key blade MUST be cut prior to pairing. It can be cut at any automotive locksmith or car dealership.
- Vehicle battery should be in good condition and fully charged prior to pairing the new key. Turn off headlights, radio, A/C fan, etc. to minimize battery draw during the 30-minute process.
- This key will only work with key ignition vehicles. This key does not have passive entry features and will not work with push-button ignition systems.

Product Usage Instructions
Key Pairing Instructions for Onboard Programmable Vehicles
NOTE: Instructions have timing requirements. If you wait too long
between steps, your vehicle’s computer may time out, requiring you to start
over. Once you begin the pairing procedure, move at a quick and even pace.
- Insert an original, already paired key into the ignition and turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The security light will turn on.
- When the security light turns off, turn the key to the LOCK/OFF position and remove the key.
- Insert the new key in the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position within 5 seconds. The security light will turn on. The security light will turn off once the key has been paired.
- Test the key. Remove it from the ignition, reinsert it, and start the vehicle.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for any additional keys to be paired.

NOTE: This procedure will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
The vehicle must be off and all of the keys you wish to program must be with
you. It’s strongly encouraged to turn off any components that will draw power
from your battery during this process like the radio or air conditioning. If
you have a battery charger to connect to your battery that will be best.
Unfortunately, the user manual does not provide specific key pairing
instructions for onboard programmable vehicles with the symbol ^. Please refer
to the owner’s manual or contact the manufacturer for detailed instructions on
how to pair the new key with your specific vehicle.

- If your vehicle came with a smart or proximity key, this Simple Key is not compatible with your vehicle.
- If you have TWO WORKING KEYS proceed to the next step. If you only have one working key, go to page 4 for pairing steps.

- Turn the key to the LOCK/OFF position.
- For the last time, turn the key to the ON/RUN position. The security light will turn on.
- Wait 10 minutes for the security light to turn off.
- Turn the key to the LOCK/OFF position.
- Test the new key. Turn your new key to start the vehicle.
