Product Information
The product is a VSM-2407/1203 fixture designed for installation in accordance with local codes and the National Electric Code (NEC). It is important to read and follow the installation instructions provided to ensure proper installation and avoid any potential risks or damage. The fixture is intended for outdoor use and should not be installed within 10 feet of a pool, spa, or fountain. It is compatible with a power supply (transformer) rated maximum of 300 watts at 15 volts. The fixture comes with a stem, hat, bulb, stake, and other necessary parts for installation.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before installing or servicing the fixture, ensure that the power is turned OFF.
- Do not install the fixture within 10 feet of a pool, spa, or fountain.
- Use a power supply (transformer) rated maximum of 300 watts at 15 volts.
- Do not bury the Underground Low Energy Cable more than 6 inches in order to connect to the main low voltage cable.
- Make wiring connections using UL listed wire connectors suitable for outdoor use.
- Position the wire connector within 6 inches from a building structure, luminaire, or fitting.
- If additional lengths of low voltage cable are required, contact www.voltlighting.com or call 1-813-978-3700.
- Remove the stem top by loosening it and pulling it off the stem.
- Install the bulb by inserting it into the bulb socket, ensuring it matches the wattage and type marked on the fixture label.
- Place the stem top over the bulb and thread it onto the stem, hand tightening until snug.
- Hammer the stake into the ground at the desired location until the flange is flush with the grade.
- If the ground is hard, make a crosscut using a flat shovel to ease the stake installation.
- Clear an area in the ground at the wireway slot on top of the stake.
- Lay the luminaire pigtail into the wireway slot and attach the stem to the stake, tightening until snug.
- Strip both leads from the luminaire pigtail and use wire connectors to connect them to the main supply cable leads.
- For Option A: Place the desired hat onto the stem top and secure it with the finial, hand tightening until snug.
- For Option B (Cast Brass Hat): Thread the desired hat onto the stem top, hand tightening until snug. No finial is needed for installation.

This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with local codes and
the National Electric Code (NEC). Failure to adhere to these codes and
instructions may result in serious injury, property damage and void the
warranty.
These instructions do not intend to cover all variations in installation,
operation maintenance or mounting situations.
- Make sure that the power is turned OFF before installing or servicing this fixture.
- Warning: this fixture is not intended to be installed within 10 feet [3 meters] of a pool, spa or fountain.
- This fixture is intended to be used only with a power supply (transformer) rated maximum of 300 watts (25 AMPS) at 15 volts.
- Underground Low Energy Cable must not be buried over 6” (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the main low voltage cable.
- Wiring connections must be made with UL listed wire connectors that are suitable for outdoor use.
- Position the wire connector so that it is located within 6 inches (15.2 cm) from a building structure, a luminaire, or fitting

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
LIGHTED LAMP IS HOT!
WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
- Turn off/unplug and allow to cool before reducing lamp.
- Lamp gets HOT quickly!
- Do not touch the hot lens, guard or cowl.
- Keep lamp away from materials that may burn.
- Do not touch lamp at any time.
- Use a soft cloth.
- Oil from skin may damage lamp.
- Do not operate the fixture with a damaged or missing lens or shield.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove Stem Top
Loosen the stem top and remove it from the stem. -
Install Bulb
Insert the bulb with correct wattage and type marked on the fixture label and push firmly into place.
CAUTION: Do not exceed maximum wattage marked on luminaire label. -
Install Stem Top
Place the stem top over the bulb and thread the stem top onto the stem. Hand tighten until snug. -
Install Stake
Determine the desired location for mounting the fixture. Ham-mer the stake into the ground until the flange of the stake is flush to grade. To avoid damage to the stake, place a board on top of the stake while hammer-ing.
NOTE: If the ground is hard and the stake is difficult to install, make a crosscut in the ground using a flat shovel. -
Install Stem to Stake
Clear away an area in the ground at the wireway slot on the top of the stake. Lay the luminaire pigtail into the wireway slot and attach the stem onto the stake. Tight-en until snug. -
Wire Connection
Strip both leads from the luminaire pigtail. Using two wire connectors (sold separately), connect the leads from the luminaire to the main supply cable leads. -
Install Spun Brass Hat to Stem (Option A)
Place the hat of your choice onto the stem top and se-cure it with the finial. Hand tighten until snug. -
Install Cast Brass Hat to Stem (Option B)
Thread the hat of your choice onto the stem top. Hand tighten until snug.
Note: For Cast Brass hats you will not need a finial to install the hat. You will screw the hat directly to the top of the stem using the coupler.
Install/Replace Bulb
Remove the finial, hat and stem top to expose the bulb. Re-place it with
the correct wattage and type marked on the fixture label. Then, reinstall the
stem top and hat.
IMPORTANT: Bulbs must be protected from moisture and dust at all times.
Always reinstall the stem top and hat when re-moved.
