SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
- The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
- This product is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and / or lack of knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on how to use the product.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
- Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for children.
- Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
- Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
- If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored under unfavourable ambient conditions for an extended period of time or has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
- Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
- Before plugging in the device, verify that the information on the product’s rating plate correspond with your household power supply.
- The product was constructed according to protection class II. Only a proper mains socket of the public supply net must be used as voltage source.
- The mains outlet must be located near to the soldering iron station and be easily accessible.
- Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains socket using the intended grips.
- Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended period of time.
- For safety reasons, always unplug the device in case of a thunderstorm.
- Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or exposed to other mechanical strain. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
- Do not touch the mains cable if it appears damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Never operate the product with a damaged mains cable.
- To prevent risks, damaged power cables may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a professional workshop appointed by the manufacturer, or a similarly qualified person.
- Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
- Do not attach any objects to the soldering iron station, soldering iron or cables.
- Never cover the soldering iron station or soldering iron, risk of fire!
- Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid right next to the product. If liquid or an object enters the interior of the device nevertheless, first power down the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
- Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. With the soldering iron station, there is also a risk of fatal injury from an electric shock! Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting and using it. This may take several hours.
- Warning – do not touch: Hazard of thermal burns caused by the generation of heat in the soldering iron, soldering tip and molten soldering material.
- Never leave the heated soldering iron unattended; always put it down with the soldering tip in the supplied spiral holder. Always insert the soldering iron in the supplied spiral holder before switching it on and after using the soldering iron station.
- When soldering operations are interrupted, when leaving the working area, and after completion of soldering operations, the time needed for complete cooling of the soldering iron and soldering tip to room temperature should be observed. When the work is interrupted or completed, supervision of the soldering iron station must be ensured until complete cooling.
- Never submerge the product in water or other liquids. There is a risk of electric shock!
- If the soldering iron station is damaged, do not touch it; there is a risk of fatal injury from an electric shock! First, switch off the mains voltage to the mains socket to which the soldering iron station is connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, then switch off at the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that all poles of the mains socket are disconnected). Then you can remove the mains plug of the soldering iron station from the mains socket. Dispose of the faulty soldering iron station in an environmentally friendly way; do not use it anymore.
- For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention regulations for electrical systems and equipment of the government safety organization or the corresponding authority for your country!
- Warning – hazardous vapours: do not breathe vapours generated during soldering operations. The vapours are harmful to health. Use an exhaust extraction system if necessary. Always ensure good ventilation of the working area.
- Keep a sufficient distance from other heat sources such as hot plates or ovens to avoid damage to the product.
- Make sure there are no combustible objects or materials near the hot soldering iron.
- Do not work on live parts.
- Only use the supplied accessories.
- Wear suitable protective clothing, goggles, gloves and sturdy footwear to protect you from splashing soldering material.
- Soldering material splashing beyond the working area carries an increased risk of fire, in particular, through delayed smouldering. After splashing of hot soldering material, the working environment must be monitored for a longer time.
- Allow the product to cool down completely and disconnect it from the power source before cleaning.
- Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are used or connected in the area where this product is located.
- During soldering operations, unforeseen situations may arise, in which prevention of unwanted heat build-up is required. Therefore, the working area must always be well lit. The user must have sufficient freedom of movement. Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
- Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
- If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, please contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.

CARE AND CLEANING:
Only a specialist who is familiar with the risks and relevant regulations may carry out repairs / open the housing. Before starting to clean or maintain, the soldering iron station must be disconnected from the mains. Allow the product to cool down sufficiently.
General
- There are no components inside the product that would require maintenance or repair on the part of the user. Therefore, never open/dismantle the product.
- Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
- Always keep the soldering tip and soldering iron clean. Do not use a file or sandpaper to clean the soldering tip. This may damage the soldering tip. Use a slightly damp sponge to clean the soldering tip and remove soldering flux and soldering wire residue. Dry the soldering tip thoroughly after cleaning.
- Clean the exterior of the soldering iron station only with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Replacing the soldering tip
- Before detaching/replacing the soldering tip turn the soldering iron station off and unplug it from the power outlet. Allow the product to cool down sufficiently.
