DOOR TEST GUIDANCE
Q: When I block the light sensor, why doesn’t the door close?
A: Check the below two possible reasons:
- DO NOT use fingers to DIRECTLY cover the light sensor to test the door movement! This will fail this test! Because if the sunlight is bright enough (i.e. at noon), there still will be a little sunlight can pass through your finger and be captured by the light sensor, which will cause the sensor think it is not dark enough to close the door So ONLY use a thick dark cloth or box to cover the light sensor!
-
- Manual mode – If you have tested the manual open mode(pressing the UP button for 3 seconds to manual open the door) BEFORE you test the light sensor, the light sensor test may will fail. Because the manual open mode is the override control, once you use the manual mode to open the door, the door will stay in manual open status for a period of time (*the duration depends on the sunlight brightness and other factors) until it reaches the “manual mode exit condition”, then the system will exit the manual control mode and return back to the automatic control mode. The light sensor test won’t work in the manual mode and will only work after exitting the manual mode and returning back to the automatic control mode. Under this condition, if you want to test the light sensor, two solutions:
- wait to the next day and test the light sensor again by blocking the sensor for 2 minutes, then the door will automatically close. (This is the recommended method as it is easier.)
- restore to the initial factory settings by press the and DOWN at the same time for 3 seconds. This operation will clear all the user settings. Then start over to set the current time and other operation values, BUT DO NOT test the manual open mode before you test the light sensor, otherwise the door won’t close, you can test the manual open mode later after you complete the light sensor test. Follow above tips to block the light sensor for 2 minutes, the door will automatically close.

NOTE: There are two screws used as o close position limit when the door is closed. The door frame must be installed in this orientation. -
Slide the aluminum door into rails and check if it can move up & down freely on the rails.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Check if the door can move up and down freely on the rails. If not, it will cause the battery to drain very quickly and may trigger the “DOOR JAMMED” warning message. -
Align !he control box above !he door on the coop, ensuring that !he lifting cord al the base of the control box is straight above the metal door without any bends. Allow a gap of at least 3-4 Inch es between the bottom of the control box and the top of the aluminum door when the door is in the fully open position. When the control box is at the appropriate height and the lifting cord is aligned exactly vertical above the metal door, mount the control box to the coop with 4 screws, included.

- The power adapter is designed for indoor use only, NOT for outdoor use. The power adapter MUST be installed inside a dry room.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE THE POWER ADAPTER AND THE BATTERIES AT THE SAME TIME, WILL DAMAGE
THE UNIT SOON! Prior to plugging in the external power adapter, remove the
batteries from the door opener. If the batteries are not removed while using
the external power adapter, the following battery warning message will
display, and the LED will flash every 5 seconds as a reminder to remove the
