Kegerator REFR6 – Not Cooling
REFR6 Double Tap Outdoor Kegerator
The fan that might have stopped working is going to be on the backside of the
kegerator.
First step is to pull the kegerator out of the cabinet. Unplug the unit.
Image RFEFR6 – 1
This shows the back of the kegerator. The red small arrows are the screws you
will need to unscrew to get to this view shown. The green arrow is the fan
that we have seen stop working.
Once you remove this panel and you can see the fan. Make sure to not have
anything close to the fan for safety. Plug the kegerator back into the wall
and see if this fan starts to spin. If this fan is not spinning, that is the
fan that needs to be cleaned. If the fan is spinning and the fridge is not
keeping temperature then it would be a warranty issue. To clean the fan, you can use compressed air to blow it out. The one
fan we saw that was not working had so much dust and dirt that the fan blades
couldn’t spin freely because of the dust/dirt at the bottom.
Once you have completed this test, unplug the fridge. Make sure nothing is
touching the fan. Re-attach the back panel and screws holding the plate.
If you believe it is a warranty issue please give us a call at
800-514-7455.
