POSITIONING AND MOUNTING THE ANTENNA
Find a suitable position on the roof of your vehicle. Please ensure that you
have selected the correct position suitable for hole into the interior of the
vehicle and that it is suitable for a cable entry and is clear of any
obstructions. Cabinets and cupboards are usually a preference to ensure a
tidy installation. Also ensure that if it will be mounted near any other
antennas on the roof to give a reasonable distance between them to avoid any
interference.
Requirements:
- Drill
- Pilot Drill-bit 2 – 3mm (for the antenna base screws)
- Hole Cutter / Arbor – 20mm ( For the central cable entry hole)
- Sealant
- Pencil
- Masking Tape
- Ladder
Prepare and drill hole:
Once the position has been decided within the vehicle for the router to be
placed, check the roof area above to ensure it is clear of any obstructions or
cabling. Drill a pilot hole from the inside of your vehicle up through the
roof, check that the hole created is correct on the roof of the vehicle. Then
use a 20mm hole cutter to and cut from the inside of the vehicle to just about
break the surface of the roof panel. Then move to the roof of the vehicle and
drill downwards to complete a clean cut.
Remove any swarf and clean around the hole thoroughly so the antenna and the adhesive can bond correctly with the surface. If the surface area is metal apply some petroleum jelly or paint around the hole to prevent corrosion.
SET UP AND FIXING THE ANTENNA
Clean the roof area around the install thoroughly ready for the antenna to ensure a secure bond. Remove the nut, washer and the 3M backing from the antenna and feed the two SMA cables down the prepared hole.
Apply a generous amount of adhesive around the neck of the thread and feed the two cables followed by the thread down the prepared hole. Press down evenly and apply pressure to ensure a good grip with the 3M pad.
Enter the vehicle and feed the washer and nut over the cables and up onto the 20mm thread and tighten (hand tight should be sufficient).
Once the antenna is installed in place, apply a bead of sealant around the base of the exterior of the antenna to further waterproof the installation.

FAQ’S
Q: Connected, without internet access
A: Ensure you have loaded data onto your sim-card. Contact your provider to ensure you have data available. If you continue to experience this issue you will need to manually change your Access Point Network (APN) details. Please refer to the Quick Router Setup Guide section
Q: The router does not power on.
A: Ensure the power is turned on at the source. Check the power connector is secured at the base of the router. Check the in line fuse has not blown.
Q: Cannot find “Falcon4G” wifi network.
A: Ensure the router is turned on and in range. Turn the router off for +-60 seconds and then turn it back on. You can do this by unpluging the power. Do not “reset” at this point. Ensure the device wifi is switched on. Remove the fuse and then resetting the fuse back in.

A: The router needs to be reset. - Press the reset button (using a pen or pin for 5 seconds) located next to the power input. - The router will display a red light for 60 seconds before a solid green light appears. - Search for a Falcon4G and type in password “F@1con_99”
Q: Can the wireless name of the router be customized?
A: The wireless name can be customized under “General Settings” ibn the admin portal.
Q: How do you install the simcard?
A: Ensure you have a sim adaptor if you are using a micro or nano sim card. Follow the image under the sim slot of the router. Once the sim is secure you will hear a click.
Q: Which SIM provider can be used for the 4G Combo?
A: The router is unlocked to all networks and so can be used with any sim provider you choose. For some networks the APN may not be automatically recognised and you may need to manually input the APN for the service provider.
