Thank you for having purchased the Clarence domestic air humidifier, an air&me product. We hope that it will bring you complete satisfaction and improve your indoor air quality.
As with all electrical appliances, it is important to maintain the appliance properly in order to avoid any damage or injury. Please read these instructions carefully before switching the appliance on and keep them for later reference. WAF-direct society accepts no liability for any damage that is caused by noncompliance with this instruction manual. The appliance is only to be used in the household for the intended purposes described in this user manual. Using the appliance for other purposes than the intended ones or performing technical changes to the appliance could be hazardous for health and life.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Please read all the instructions carefully before using Clarence.
- Any use that is not recommended by the reseller can lead to fire, power surge or can hurt people.
- Remove the packaging and make sure that Clarence is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your reseller.
- Do not let children play with the different pieces of the packaging.
- Before using Clarence, make sure that the voltage indicated on the product is in accordance with your electrical installation.
- Pay special attention when using the appliance near a child.
- Using an extension electric cable can create overheating and fire.
- Do not pull on the power cord to unplug the appliance. Always unplug Clarence by holding and pulling on the socket.
- Do not insert object inside the wet air outlet. It can cause electrical shock or damage the appliance. Do not cover or put objects that can obstruct the air flow.
- Always unplug Clarence when you are not using it.
- Never use Clarence if it can fall into a liquid.
- During operation, leave at least 20cm behind, around and in front of the appliance.
- Make sure the product is on a dry flat and horizontal surface.
- Do not use Clarence outdoors.
- Always unplug Clarence when moving it.
- Keep the product clean and in good condition.
- Only use the recommended spare parts (non official parts could be dangerous and invalidate the warranty).
- Store Clarence in a dry and safe place, away from children.
- If the power cord is damaged, it can be changed by the reseller. Only qualified persons can make this repair.
- This product cannot be used by children less than 8 years old. Please read carefully this user manual and use Clarence with caution.

FILLING THE TANK
- Take the tank by the handle and lift it.
- Turn the tank over, unscrew the cap.
- Fill the tank with cold water. Do not fill it with hot water, it could create some leaks.
- Screw back the cap clockwise.
- Replace the tank on its base, using the float as a guide.
For safety reasons and to avoid overheating the unit, the humidifier will turn off automatically when the tank is empty and the indicator e lights up.
USE PRECAUTIONS
- Never connect the appliance when the tank is completely empty.
- Fill the tank with tap water or demineralised water. Do not fill the tank with softened water with a salt softener.
- Make sure the product is placed on a dry, level surface and 10 cm away from the wall.
- Before first use or after transportation, the unit will take approximately 30 minutes to display the actual room temperature and humidity.
- Make sure that the removable filter and the tank are correctly positioned and depressed.
- Do not remove the float from the tank, as this will prevent the unit from starting.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill the tank.
- Plug the power cord in an electrical socket.
- Turn the appliance on using the ON-OFF button ( A ). After pressing the ON-OFF button, the digital display shows the humidity and temperature measured in the room thanks to the sensor on the power cord (± 5% error margin) and the The device starts in automatic mode .
- Press the buttons of the touch control panel to select the different modes.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
HYGROSTAT AND HYGROSMART® FUNCTION: HygroSmart® is an exclusive technology patented by air&me. This mode allows you to maintain an ideal humidity level in the air (between 47% and 53%). Once the function has been selected, a warning light is displayed ( a ).
By selecting this function, the unit turns on as soon as the humidity level of the room is below 47%, stops once the ideal range is reached and restarts as soon as the humidity level drops again. If there is enough moisture in your room, the unit will not work. Press the button D for 3 seconds to active this function.
With Hygrostat function, you can set the humidity level of the surrounding air to the desired value (between 30 and 75%).
- Press the electronic hygrostat button ( D ).
- Set the desired humidity level by pressing the button several times (the increase is done in increments of 5%).
- After 3 seconds, the digital display will show the ambient humidity again. A indicator light appears ( i ). The unit will start automatically until the desired humidity level is reached and then stop automatically.
The unit can be set to CONTINUOUS, which is ideal if you want to humidify a
room quickly.
To activate this function, press the Electronic Hygrostat button several times
until “CO” is displayed. After 3 seconds, the digital display will show the
ambient humidity again
B NEGATIVE IONISATION FUNCTION: This function allows you, thanks to the diffusion of negative ions, to clean the air and to give you a sensation of well-being both biological and physiological. Once the function is selected, a light is displayed ( b ).
C MIST POWER: Clarence has 3 speeds (Low – Medium – High: g ) to increase the speed of humidification of the air and to adjust the intensity of the mist. Mist power function works only when Hygrosmart® mode is activated.
At full power, the mist produced may form condensation around the unit and give the impression of a leak in the tank. To avoid this phenomenon, reduce the power of diffusion and/ or place the humidifier towards a source of heat (about 1 meter).
F WARM MIST MODE: By selecting this function, the device will broadcast a haze preheated between 35 and 40 ° C. The diffusion of warm vapor will allow a humidification better distributed in the room thanks to a soft and healthy mist.
Once the desired settings are enabled, press the warm steam button ( F ). The indicator will indicate the triggering of this function ( d ).
After having chosen the desired function, without any action on your part, the screen of the device automatically goes to “standby”.
E TIMER MODE: It is possible to set a timer (between 1h and 12h). A warning light appears h Once this function is activated, the device will stop automatically once time elap
ADDITIONAL FUNCTION
AROMATHERAPY: Clarence has an aromatherapy function. To use it, press the broadcast drawer at the bottom of the left side of the device ( 14 ). Once the drawer is open, pour a few drops (4 to 8 drops depending on the desired olfactory power) of the essential oil of your choice on the cotton. Close the drawer and turn on the unit. It is recommended to renew the cotton with each change of essential oil.
Never put essential oils directly in the water tank: this will damage the unit.
LED LIGHT : You can easily turn off the LED light of your humidifier. To do so, press the B button for 3 seconds. If you wish to turn on the LED light, press the B button again for 3 seconds.
[WIFI] BUTTON: By pressing this button ( A ) for 3 seconds, you can connect
the device to your wireless network and pair it via the dedicated smartphone
app.

MAINTENANCE
- Make sure the unit is turned off and unplugged before handling.
- Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use corrosive, abrasive or flammable products to clean the unit
CLEANING THE TANK: To avoid scale deposits, clean the tank at least once a month with a suitable product or white vinegar. To do this, remove the tank from the unit and remove the cap, then fill it with water and cleaning agent. Let stand for 15 minutes, then empty and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water before putting it back in place and turning on the device again.
CLEANING ULTRASONIC PLATE: Dry the ultrasonic plate and clean it with a soft brush. Then wipe it with a soft cloth.
STOCKAGE: To avoid any bacteria or virus proliferation, never store the appliance with water inside the tank and be sure that the appliance is perfectly dry.
- Empty and clean the tank.
- Clean the pre-filter.
- Store the product in a place that is protected against dust and that is clean and dry
