INSTRUCTIONS: COAST EAL13 EMERGENCY AREA LIGHT

USING THE AREA LIGHT

The EAL13 Emergency Area Light is equipped with a powerful LED with five lighting modes, which is housed  in an unbreakable polycarbonate diffuser. Use the Power Button to turn on your EAL13, as well as cycle through all five lighting modes – low (warm), medium, high, red, and flashing red modes. Hold down the power button for three seconds to activate red mode. Once activated, use the power button to cycle between red and flashing red modes, as well as to shut off the EAL13.

Using The Area Light

POWERING THE AREA LIGHT

The EAL13 is powered by four COAST Extreme Performance AA Alkaline Batteries. To replace the batteries, twist the base of the area light counterclockwise and remove the basecap to expose the battery compartment. Remove all three old batteries, discard and install three new batteries. When reinstalling the basecap, be sure to rotate clockwise until it locks into place. COAST Extreme Performance.

Alkaline Batteries can be purchased separately on coastportland.com.

Note: Do not mix old and new batteries.

BATTERY LIFE INDICATOR

Monitor the battery life of the EAL13 with the Battery Life Indicator. While turned on, the Power Button will glow green as long as the available energy of the installed alkaline batteries is sufficient to continue powering the area light. When the power button glows red, one or more of the installed batteries has been significantly drained. When the power button flashes red, the batteries have reached their lowest power limits and should be replaced immediately.

OVERHEAD AREA LIGHT

The EAL13 is equipped with two stowable carabiner hooks and a magnetic base for hands-free use. Before hanging or mounting, turn on the area light in the desired setting. To hang the EAL13, lift either of the two carabiner hooks from the stowed position and clip it into place. Be sure the carabiner has snapped into the closed position before letting go of the area light. To mount the EAL13, simply place the magnetic base of the area light on any magnetic surface.

CLEANING THE AREA LIGHT

To clean the EAL13, wipe the exterior of the area light with a damp rag. Never submerge the EAL13 in any liquid.

WARRANTY

The EAL13 is protected by a COAST LIFETIME WARRANTY. For expedited warranty service, visit: coastportland.com.
