SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General Information
- Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments.
- Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
- In case of damage caused by failure of not living up to this manual the warranty will decay immediately. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to not living up the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.
- Always remove the power cord and let it cool:
- Before moving the unit;
- Before the unit is stored;
- Before you go mounting or dismantle parts;
- Before cleaning or maintenance work;
- After use.
- Only have the appliance repaired by a qualified service centre.
Electricity and heat
- Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage is the same and the voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.
- Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.
- Regularly check the power cord for damage.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer or the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
- Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or steam.
- Always remove the plug from the plug socket before you move the appliance.
- The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.
- If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
- To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
- To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or housing in water or other liquid.
- Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and do not use it again.
- Do not use the appliance close to hot objects such as a stove or oven.
Using the appliance
- The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Only use the appliance indoors, in dry areas away from water.
- Place the appliance on a stable, level surface from which it cannot fall off.
- Use the appliance on a flat, dry and heat resistance surface, not on varnished furniture.
- Place the appliance at least 5cm off the wall or flammable objects (such as curtains, candles or towels).
- Disconnect the mains plug: after each time operating; if there is any interference with operation; before cleaning.
- Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
- Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or plug show signs of damage, if the appliance has fallen on the floor or has other parts damaged. In such cases take the appliance to a specialist for checking and repair if necessary.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- It is necessary to keep this appliance clean because it is in direct contact with food.
- Parts of the appliance become hot during use. Therefore, the appliance must only be held by the handle. Avoid touching the metal parts as they become very hot.
- The heating element has been slightly greased and as a result the appliance might slightly smoke when switched on for the first time. After a short while, this will cease. Let the appliance work for 10 minutes before first use, this will remove the smell and smoke.
- Always attach the probe to griddle before plugging cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn temperature control knob to “OFF”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Use extreme caution when disposing hot grease.
- The connector must be removed before the appliance is cleaned and the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again.
- Only the appropriate connector must be used.
- Warning: charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.
- Warning!! Please do not touch surface while in use. The accessible surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
- Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food or oil, please refer to the paragraphs “CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS” and “HINTS FOR CARE AND USE OF NON-STICK SURFACE”.
USING YOUR GRILL
- Before first use, see CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS and HINTS FOR CARE AND USE OF NON-STICK SURFACE.
- Lift the heating plate up, and insert the oil container into the slot in the center of the base. Place the heating plate onto the base, inserting the probe receptacle into the slot on the side of the base. Attach the thermostat connector into the unit. Make sure the temperature control faces upwards.
- Connect the mains plug to a suitable socket.
- Set the desired temperature by means of the temperature control 1/2/3/4/5. The indicator lamp lights up.
- The unit, on its first use, might emit light smell. It is however of no consequence. Briefly ensure sufficient ventilation.
- As soon as this temperature has been attained, the indicator light goes off.
- When the grill has cooled down, the grill is heated up again automatically. The indicator light glows till the set temperature is attained again.
- Always turn the temperature control to “OFF”, to switch off the grill.
- Pull out the mains plug from the socket and pull out the thermostat connector from the unit.
- Carry the grill only by the handles.
- Let the grill cool down outside the reach of the children. Caution: Grill surfaces are hot during use.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
- Unplug and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or moving.
- Remove cord set (Do not immerse it in water), wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Caution : Probe and probe receptacle must always be completely dry before use.
Note : The oil container is dishwasher safe.
HINTS FOR CARE AND USE OF NON-STICK SURFACE
- To avoid scratching the non-stick surface, do not stack objects on grill.
- Use medium to low heat for best cooking results. Very high temperatures can cause discoloration and shorten the life span of any non-stick surface. If higher temperatures are necessary, preheat on medium for a few minutes.
- Use only nylon, plastic or wooden utensils with care to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. Never cut food on the grill.
- Remove stubborn stains with a plastic scouring pad and mild dish washing liquid.
- Do not use steel wool.

guarantee: For the purchased device we provide 2 years guarantee, commencing
from the day of sale. If you have a defective product, you can directly go
back to the point of purchase.
Defects which arise due to improper handling of the device and malfunctions
due to interventions and repairs by third parties or the fitting of non-
original parts are not covered by this guarantee. Always keep your receipt,
without the receipt you can’t claim any form of warranty. Damage caused by not
following the instruction manual, will lead to a void of warranty, if this
results in consequential damages then we will not be liable. Neither can we
hold responsible for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use
if the instruction manual is not properly executed. Damage to accessories does
not mean free replacement of the whole appliance. In such case please contact
our service department. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts is always
subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subjected to wearing, as
well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered
by the warranty and are to be paid.

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other
household wastes throughout the 2012/19/EU. To prevent possible harm to the
environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it
responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return
your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the
retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for
environmental safe recycling.
