Genie PGM-24 24 Inch LED Monitor
Please read these instructions carefully before operating the unit and keep for further reference. All the examples and pictures used here are for reference only. The contents of this manual are subject to change without notice.
The Genie PGM-24 is a LED backlit LCD color monitor. The monitor is designed for continuous operation and can be used in closed circuit TV systems. The Flat Panel Display has an active matrix, thin-film transistor (TFT) and liquid crystal display (LCD).

Opening the Box
Check that the packing and the contents are not visibly damaged. Contact
Bioaccess Sales Ltd immediately if parts are either missing or damaged. Do not
attempt to use the device and retain its original packaging.

Power
- Only use the power unit provided to power the device. Check the mains rating before plugging the power unit in.
- Do not pull the cable to unplug the device.
Safety Precautions
- Keep the device away from rain and excessive humidity to prevent any risk of electrical hazards. Do not allow any external materials (solid or liquid) inside the device. If this should accidentally occur, disconnect the device from the mains and have it inspected by qualified personnel.
- Never open the device. Contact qualified personnel or an authorised service center for repairs.
- Keep the device away from children to prevent accidental damage.
- Do not touch the device with wet hands to prevent mechanical damage.
- Do not use the device if it should fall or the external casing is damaged. Contact the Bioaccess Sales Ltd support team or your installer.
- It is advised to disconnect the power wire if the monitor is not used for an extended period.
Installation Precautions
- To prevent the monitor from overheating, ensure a flow of air through the slots in the casing is possible. At least 5 cm of free space when installing inside a rack is reccomended. Additionally, do not install the monitor near sources of heat, such as radiators or hot air ducts and keep away from direct sunlight. Do not install the monitor in areas subject to excessive dust, mechanical vibrations or shocks.
- Do not install the device on an unstable surface because the device could fall causing damage or mechanical failures.
- Do not install the device in a place where it could be exposed to humidity or water.
- Stop using the device if water or other material should penetrate inside: risk of fire and electrical faults. Contact the Bioaccess Sales Ltd support team or an authorised installer.
- Slots and openings in the device casing are provided for ventilation, these openings must not be blocked or covered.
- Do not place heavy or heat generating objects on top of the device, this could damage the casing and / or increase the internal temperature causing faults.
- Do not cover the device with a cloth while it is running to prevent overheating.
- Keep magnets and magnetized objects away from the device to prevent faults.
- Do not use the device in the presence of smoke, vapor, humidity, dust or intense vibrations.
- Wait for three hours before operating the device immediately after transporting it from a cold place to a warm place and vice versa. This will allow the device to adapt to the new temperature and/or humidity, etc.
- The monitor comes with a plastic base and rubber feet. It can be positioned on a horizontal surface, such as a desk or a table. Make sure that the device is fastened firmly and that it is not resting on unstable supports or surfaces. Dropping the device could result in injury or damage.
- Adjust the brightness and contrast to obtain a perfect image.
- The monitor can also be installed on the wall by means of a bracket (not provided).
Cleaning the Device
- Rub delicately with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
- Dampen the cloth with a neutral detergent if dirt cannot be removed with a dry cloth alone.
- Do not use volatile liquids (such petrol, alcohol, solvents, etc.) or chemically treated cloths to clean the device to prevent deformation, deterioration or scratches.
Privacy and Copyright
- The monitor is a device for CCTV systems. Recording of images is subject to the laws in force in your country. Recording of images protected by copyright is forbidden.
- Product users are responsible for checking and respecting all local rules and regulations concerning monitoring and recording video signals. The manufacturer SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for use of this product not in compliance with the laws in force.
Interfaces, Controls and Settings
- HDMI port: Used to connect a compatible device. Supports HDMI 1.4 & 2.0
- VGA: Used to connect a compatible VGA device
- Audio Out: Used to connect compatible AUX audio devices
- DC input port: Connect the supplied power supply to power the monitor
Monitor Control Buttons
- M: Open the Main OSD Menu and Select submenu
- Go Up on the Main OSD Menu Increase the value of a selected item
- Go Down on the Main OSD Menu Decrease the value of a selected item
- E: Select signal source or Exit OSD
- Power Button: Turn the monitor On / Off
Monitor Button Function
All picture setup can be adjusted in OSD (On Screen Display) menu. To
adjust the OSD screen:
- Press the MENU button to enter the OSD MENU.
- Press the buttons to select the desired main menu. The selected main-MENU is highlighted.
- Press the buttons to select the desired sub-MENU. The selected sub-MENU is highlighted.
- Change the value you wish to adjust by using the buttons.
- Press the MENU button to confirm the adjustment on sub-MENU.
- Press the AUTO button to exit the sub-MENU and go back to the main-MENU.
