Techivation T-Clarity
The Techivation T-Clarity is a powerful audio plugin designed to enhance the clarity and quality of your audio recordings. With a range of features and customizable settings, the T-Clarity allows you to achieve professional-level audio processing with ease.

Features

  • Processing Knob: Controls the level at which compression is triggered to remove unwanted muddy and boxy sounds.
  • Intensity: Determines the amount of gain reduction applied when the signal passes a threshold level.
  • Sharpness: Adjusts the transitions between the compressed and non-compressed states of the audio signal.
  • Undo/Redo Options: Built-in options to easily revert or redo changes made to the settings.
  • A/B Switch: Allows you to compare different settings and make small tweaks for optimal sound.
  • Output Level: Adjusts the volume level of the processed audio signal.
  • Level Meter: Displays the master output signal level and current gain reduction.
  • Audition Buttons: Filter button allows you to listen to specific frequency bands in isolation, while Diff button lets you hear the sounds being removed.
  • Frequency Range Modes: Offers four frequency range modes (Hi-mid, Mid, Lo-mid, Low) with corresponding frequency ranges.
  • On/Off Button: Enables or disables the plugin’s effect on the output sound.
  • Menu: Provides quick access to useful features such as Undo/Redo, Presets, Save Preset As…, and Load Preset as.
  • Oversampling up to 16X: Reduces aliasing by processing audio at a higher sample rate than the host.
  • GUI Scale: Adjusts the size of the plugin’s graphical user interface.

Usage Instructions

  1. Open your preferred digital audio workstation (DAW) or audio editing software.
  2. Load the Techivation T-Clarity plugin onto the audio track or master bus where you want to apply the processing.
  3. Adjust the Processing Knob to determine the level at which compression starts to remove unwanted sounds. Listen to the audio and find the point where the mid or upper mid range is controlled without excessive audible compression.
  4. Set the Intensity to control the amount of gain reduction applied when the signal passes the threshold level. A higher intensity value results in more gain reduction.
  5. Use the Sharpness control to adjust the transitions between compressed and non-compressed states. Lower sharpness values provide smoother and more gradual compression.
  6. Experiment with the Undo/Redo options to easily revert or redo changes made to the settings.
  7. Compare different settings using the A/B Switch. Use the Copy to B function to compare small tweaks to the original settings.
  8. Adjust the Output Level to reduce or increase the volume level of the processed audio signal.
  9. Utilize the Audition Buttons to isolate specific frequency bands or hear the sounds being removed by the plugin.
  10. Explore the different Frequency Range Modes to focus on specific frequency ranges during processing.
  11. Enable or disable the plugin’s effect on the output sound using the On/Off Button.
  12. Access additional features such as Undo/Redo, Presets, Save Preset As…, and Load Preset as from the Menu.
  13. Optimize audio quality by adjusting the Oversampling setting from the plugin’s top-right menu. Higher oversampling values (up to 16X) reduce aliasing.
  14. Customize the size of the plugin’s graphical user interface using the GUI Scale feature.

Overview

  • The Techivation T-Clarity’s graphical interface is designed to enable the users to make rapid and precise audio processing. For a better user experience, the scale may range from 80% to 150%.
  • The T-Clarity helps you with cleaning the muddiness and boxiness of the sounds. It is a powerful tool for making your mid-range sound more solid and consistent. T-Clarity enhances the quality of audio mid-range musically, and it’s considered an essential tool along with the T-De-Esser for any audio processing tasks.TECHIVATION-T-Clarity-Midrange-Frequency-Enhancer-fig- \(1\)

Processing Knob
The Processing setting determines how much level can pass through the plug-in before compression is triggered to start cleaning the unwanted muddy and boxy sounds. Lower the processing until gain reduction starts to occur. Then listen as you adjust the processing. Find the point at which the mid or upper mid- range is controlled without extremely audile compression.

Quick tips:

  • Double clicking on Processing knob will set back its value to default.
  • Double clicking on Processing knob’s value number, will allow you to type in your preferred value.

Intensity
The  T-Clarity’s “Intensity”  determines how much gain reduction the T-Clarity  applies when the signal passes a  threshold level. For example, an intensity  of 4:1 means  that for every 4 dB the signal rises above the threshold,  the plug-in will allow an output of 1dB.TECHIVATION-T-Clarity-
Midrange-Frequency-Enhancer-fig- \(3\) Sharpness
The “Sharpness” refers to how the  plug-in’s  transitions between the non compressed and compressed states of  an audio signal running through it. A “lower sharpness”  allows for as mouther and more gradual compression than a “higher sharpness.”

Quick tips:

  • Double clicking on Sharpness knob will set back its value to default.
  • Double clicking on Sharpness knob’s value number, will allow you to type in your preferred value.

Undo/Redo Options
Undo and Redo options are built inside the plugin so you no longer need to worry about losing setting values.TECHIVATION-T-Clarity-Midrange-Frequency-

Quickly and simply compare different settings to find out which would fit well. The “Copy to B” allows you copy the settings you’ve made in the A version, to see how small tweaks would sound compared to the original A version.

Output Level
Reduce or increase the output volume level in dB.

Level Meter
Shows the master output signal level and current gain reduction in dB.

Audition Buttons

Filter
This feature allows you to quickly listen to the T-Clarity’s selected frequency bands in solo.

Diff
This button (when selected ) allows you to just hear the effect of the plug- ins on your signal. Basically it lets you  hear the sounds that are being removed.
