AbodeFit HEALTH 2 Person Zen Combination Sauna

Congratulations on your purchase of the AbodeFit Health™ Zen Combination Sauna.
Please read the user manual carefully before using, pay special attention to the safety precautions and keep for future reference.
Please contact AbodeFit Health’s warranty provider, Vitality 4 Life, (details on back page) if any malfunction occurs and a qualified technician will assist you.
Unauthorised dismantling of the Zen Combination Sauna will void warranty.

Safety Precautions

The Zen Combination Sauna is designed to be stand-alone or built-in to your bathroom, pool area or spa.
It is recommended to install the Zen Combination Sauna indoors for maximum protection and longevity.
If installed outside, whether it’s on a deck, veranda or in a purpose-built Cabana, it must always be completely covered and protected from the rain, moisture and other elements in order to protect the naturally untreated Canadian Hemlock finish.
Supervise children at all times. Children over the age of 6 years may use the sauna under the supervision of adults.
Do not use the Zen Combination Sauna if you have an open wound, eye disease or severe sunburn.
Elderly, pregnant woman and infants should not use the sauna.
Exit the sauna immediately if you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy.
Persons with health conditions or suffering from a disease directly related to temperature should consult their doctor before using the Zen Combination Sauna.
CAUTION: Hyperthermia can occur when the internal temperature of your body reaches a level several degrees above normal body temperature of 37ºC (98.6°F).
The symptoms of hyperthermia include an increase in the internal temperature of the body, dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness, and fainting.
The effects of hyperthermia include failure to perceive heat and to recognize the need to exit the room, unawareness of impending hazard, fatal damage to pregnant women, physical inability to exit the room and unconsciousness.
Do not use the sauna if you are under the effects of alcohol.
WARNING: The use of alcohol, drugs, or medication is capable of greatly increasing the risk of fatal hyperthermia.
Remove all jewellery before you enter the sauna.
The door of the sauna does not include a locking or latching system which could cause entrapment inside the sauna.
To avoid fire, do not dry clothes or leave any towels in the sauna.
While in the sauna, do not touch the light bulb. If the bulb needs to be changed, switch it off and wait until the sauna is shut off and the bulb is cool.
Do not spray water on the far-infrared heating elements. This activity may result in electric shock or damage to the heating elements.
Do not place pets in the sauna.
NOTE: Please refer to separate Harvia Vega Compact Heater Instruction Manual for further safety instructions and precautions.

Installation Requirements

Before connecting the sauna to a power source, please ensure all the wires, cords and connections are connected properly.
Plug the Zen Combination Sauna into a proper wall power outlet. Do not share the same outlet with any other appliances.
Install the Zen Combination Sauna on a completely level surface.
Ensure the control system is in a well ventilated dry area. Do not place it next to any heat source, in direct sunlight, where there is any type of vibration or in any damp or dusty environment. It should not be placed in an area with other thermal radiating objects.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrocution and burns, do not operate unless heater guard is correctly in place.
CAUTION: Do not place combustible materials on or against heaters at any time.
To reduce risk of electric shock and/or fire, do not expose the control system to direct water contact or rain. Do not open the cover to the control system as there are high tension fittings that can be dangerous. Only authorised and approved dealer technicians should make any needed or necessary repairs.
Any unauthorised repairs, alterations or modificaions can lead to serious injuries, can cause the sauna to operate outside its intended specifications parameters and will void the warranty
WARNING: Reduce the risk of electrocution by disconnecting the power supply before servicing.
Do not spray the exterior with water. If the area you are installing the sauna has a tendency for dampness, place rubber matting or some other suitable barrier underneath the sauna.
Do not store flammable objects or chemical substances near the sauna.
Drink a cup of water before the sauna session. After two hours of continuous use, shut the sauna down for one hour.
If the sauna becomes too warm, open the vent in the ceiling or open the front door.
After your sauna session, turn off, and unplug the power cord.

Installing your Zen Combination Sauna

Zen Combination Sauna 2 Person comes in 7 boxes. Make sure all parts are included before commencing assembly.

Positioning back board. Place the back board in the desired location of your sauna. Make sure which side is front and which side is back.
Assembling back board. Slot the back board into the grooves at the rear of the floor board. Make sure they are on the same line. One person should hold the back board in place while another person does the next step. Put the wires of back board into the cabinet to avoid pressing the wires during installation.
Assembling left board. Align corresponding battens of the back and left board, make sure the protruding batten joins to the flute, and secure together using 3 screws with an electric screw driver.
Assembling right board. Align the corresponding battens of the back and right board, make sure the protruding batten aim to the flute, and secure together using 3 screws with an electric screw driver.
Assembling bench front board & bench. Assemble bench front board first. Slide the bench front board vertically into place in between the right and left board. Plug together black power cords. Next slide bench horizontally into place on correspnding batterns above. Secure on all 4 sides with screws using a screwdriver.
Assembling front board. With one person holding the right side and another person holding the left side carefully lift the front board up and slide into place in side locks on the left and then right board.
Note: Take care of the glass door to avoid damage.
Assembling the top board. Raise the top board high enough to see if it fits between the surrounding boards, carefully slide top board into place. Use a screwdriver to secure with screws. Connect all plugs and wires to the corresponding outlets on the top board.
Check sauna is operational. If you are certain that all steps have been completed correctly, check voltage of external power, to see if it matches voltage range of sauna then plug in the power line from sauna to external power, turn on at the control panel and press the far-infrared function button. Once you are sure the sauna is heating up, move onto the next step.
Assembling the dust cover. Position the dust cover on top of the top board ensuring the power cord is threaded through the dust cover rectangular opening on the left hand side. Use screwdriver to secure down to top board with screws.
Attaching glass door. Position glass door hinge on the outside of the right glass panel in the top position. Place hinge plate on the inside and secure with a screw using the allen key. Repeat with second glass door hinge on the bottom of the right glass panel.
Next carefully position the center glass door in place and attach to the hinges on right glass panel by placing a hinge plate on the inside of the glass door in the bottom position and secure with screws using an allen key. Repeat in the top position.
Take the rubber door protection strips and secure into left then right glass door panels by pushing against the strip with your hand to ensure its firmly in place.
Lastly for door closure, take the metal door closure bracket and secure to the top of the left side glass and insert metal clip on the glass door.
Assembling the door handles. Position metal door handle on outside of glass door and insert the metal cap washer where it joins the glass door in the top handle position. Now position the wood handle on the inside of the glass door and secure to the glass door and metal handle with a screw using a screw driver. Repeat this step to secure the bottom of the wood and metal handles to the glass door. Check the screws are tight and the handles are secured well.
Attach the backrest. Position the backrest above the bench and secure to the back board in 4 places, on the top and bottom of the right and left sides with screws using a screw driver.
Installing the Harvia Vega Stove Heater. Feed the cable of the heater through the right board.
Then secure the wooden frame together with screws and position the wooden frame into the sauna. Disassemble one side batten of the wooden support frame to allow for insertion of the stove heater.
Next upend the sauna Harvia Vega heater into the wooden frame, and unscrew the top metal panel of the heater to connect all the wires and power supply.

Note: Keep the power cord away from the heater and lock tight with screws. After assembling the wires, install the top metal panel of the heater back on and the wooden batten, and place the Harvia Vega Heater in the correct location.
Position sauna rocks. Position sauna rocks by placing larger rocks on the bottom and smaller rocks on top. Leave sufficient gaps between the rocks and then fix the baffle into place to facilitate air circulation.
Attach the hygro thermometer. Secure the hygro thermometer to the left or back board.
NOTE: Do not attach the hygro thermometer under the Harvia stove heater.
This completes the installation process.

Operating your Zen Combination Sauna

Power ON/OFF Press Power ON/OFF button on the control panel for 3 seconds to switch on the control panel and activate the sauna. The display will beep once and the ON/OFF button and the ring surrounding the display screen will turn green. Press the “ON/ OFF” button again to turn the sauna off. The button will turn red and all heating will stop.
LED Colour Lighting When the control panel is ON, press LIGHT button once to activate the colour lighting. The button will turn green. Press again to switch off, the button will turn red. When it is On and green a blue LED colour will first be displayed or the colour that is in the memory from your last session. To change the LED colour press the button for 5 seconds. Each press will change the colour from L1 (white), L2(red+blue), L3(blue), L4(blue+green), L5(green), L6 (green + red), L7(red), L8(all colurs), L9(gradual all colours) If you do not press anything after choosing one colour for 8 seconds the LED lighting system will set that colour until you press the button again. The button will turn to red and the LED lighting will turn off.
Bluetooth Audio Function When the control panel is ON, press the BLUETOOTH button once to activate the Bluetooth audio function. The button will turn green. Now turn on the Bluetooth function on your mobile device or tablet , search and pair it. Now you can listen to music. To switch off Bluetooth press the button again, it will turn red and switch off.
Timer Control When the control panel is ON, press the right clockwise TIME button to increase the timer and the left counter clockwise TIME button to decrease the timer from 5 to 60 minutes. If pressed for three seconds, the timer will increase quickly. To extend the sauna session, reset the timer again.
Temperature Control When the control panel is ON, press the TEMPERATURE buttons to adjust the temperature. Temperature and button will increase and decrease the temperature respectively from 30ºC-70ºC. Each time the button is pressed, temperature will increase one degree. If pressed for three seconds, the temperature setting will increase quickly. Each time the button is pressed, temperature will decrease by one degree. If pressed for three seconds, the temperature setting will decrease quickly. Set the temperature and time to a comfortable level, normally, 60 minutes at 50°C-65°C. If ambient temperature is lower than 18.3°C, please set the temperature at about 50°C; and if ambient temperature is higher than 18.3°C, please set the temperature at about 65°C.
Far-Infrared Sauna Function When you press power ON/OFF, the sauna system will start but the far-infrared heaters will not start working until this far-infrared button is pressed and the TIMER and TEMPERATURE control buttons turn to Green.
Celcius/Fahrenheit Conversion When the control panel is ON, press C/F conversion button for 3 seconds a beep will sound and the temperature display will change from Celcius to Fahrenheit. Press again for 3 seconds to change back to Celcius.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Do not use liquid or aerosol cleansers inside the sauna.
Unplug the sauna from the power outlet on the wall before cleaning. Use plain water and a soft cloth for cleaning. Do no use benzene, alcohol or strong cleaning chemicals on the sauna. Dry with a clean dry towel.
If you are transporting the sauna, avoid exposure to rain, snow or strong collisions during transport.
Do not store the sauna in damp environments.
Do not leave the sauna on for more than 2 hours at a time.

NOTE: Use of chemicals will damage the wood and any natural protection layer inherent in the wood.

ABODEFIT HEALTH™ ZEN COMBINATION SAUNA WARRANTY
Warranty Period: Lifetime Carbon Heaters, 5 Year Repair General. Vitality 4 Life are the warranty providers for AbodeFit Health™ products. Vitality 4 Life warrant this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship while in normal domestic use for a period of five years on parts and labour from the original date of purchase.
DO NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT TO THE STORE.

LODGING A WARRANTY CLAIM

Should you experience any issues with your product, please follow these steps to lodge a warranty claim:

Contact your local Vitality 4 Life Service Centre with the following details: Your warranty details including name, email and phone number
- Product name and model number
- Product serial number, found on the rating label of the product
- Explanation of how the damage occurred
- Photos of the damage or issue is highly beneficial to expediting your claim
Vitality 4 Life will assess your claim and respond within 24-48 hours. If the Product exhibits a defect while in normal domestic use, within the warranty period; we will, at our option, either repair or replace the product or defective part free of charge.
In the event the product is required to be sent to the Service Centre, the customer is liable for all packing, freight and insurance costs for transit of the product to Vitality 4 Life. Subject to the applicable consumer laws in your jurisdiction.
If the product, or one of its parts, qualifies for replacement or service within the 30-Day period after date of purchase, Vitality 4 Life will arrange the shipping at no cost to you.
Any product sent to a Vitality 4 Life Service Centre must include a Return Authorization Form. Failure to include this form may result in the product being rejected from our warehouse or a delayed service time.
In the event that the warranty period for a product has expired, or if a Product does not qualify for warranty service, repair or replacement, consumers may still buy replacement parts or have products repaired by one of Vitality 4 Life’s Service Centres. Please contact Vitality 4 Life for further information. Vitality 4 Life will contact you with a quote prior to undertakingany service work outside of the warranty coverage.
Typical turn-around times to address warranty claims can be between 10-14 business days, plus shipping, depending on location and type of damage or warranty claim.
In no event shall our liability exceed the retail value of the product. We make no warranty with respect to parts, from asource other than Vitality 4 Life.
In the event that warranty parts or products are provided, the customer must cover the related shipping costs to receive goods.
All exchanged or substitute parts and products replaced under warranty service will become the property of Vitality 4 Life. Repaired or replaced products or parts thereof will be warranted by Vitality 4 Life for the balance of the original warranty period.
(Australia only) Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the Product, not caused by direct defect in factory workmanship or materials.
Damage due to abuse, mishandling, alteration, misuse, commercial service, tampering, accident, failure to follow care, operating and handling provisions indicated in the instructions.
Damage caused by parts or service not authorized or performed by Vitality 4 Life.
‘Normal’ wear and tear that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use or aging.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the above limitations may not apply to you in the case of damage in shipment. If your product was damaged in shipment: Immediately report this type of damage to the parcel carrier and have them file an inspection report to contact the distributor from whom you purchased the product for further instructions.
You have rights and benefits under the consumer laws in your jurisdiction. Without detracting from these rights or benefits, Vitality 4 Life excludes all liability in respect of this product for any other loss which is not reasonably foreseeable from a failure of this product, which may include liability for negligence, loss of expenditure associated with the product and loss of enjoyment.
