TOPPPRO DM24.8 Pro Professional Audio Gear

General description of the software

This software is mainly used for updating DM24.8 devices.

Operating Environment

• Windows  7 or more

Operating Instructions

• DM24.8 Device
• window PC
• A wireless router
• One network cable
• USB High speed cable

Preparation:

• Top Pro DM24.8 mixer.
• A router (router}, UTP cable or a serial cable (USS)

Connections

This mixer can be updated by 3 different connection methods, two of them by a “Router” and the other direct using USB cable.

Wired mixer and computer: Connect the LPN port of the computer to a “Router” port and the Ether Net port of the DM24.8 device to another “Router” port (as shown below). The computer and the DM24.8 devise are connected to the same router

NOTE: The computer cannot be connected directly to the mixer through the network cable.

Wireless mixer and computer: Connect the Ether Net port of the DM24.8 device to a “Router” port. Find the name of the network that corresponds to the “Router you are using on the computer’s wireless system and connect via Wi-Fi. That way the computer will see the DM24.8 mixer.

Serial port (USB): Connect one end of the serial cable to the USB pert of the DM24.8 and the other end directly to the USB port of the carputer.

NOTE: After the connection between the computer and the mixer, the operation of the interface is the same for any of the three methods explained above.

Interface Operation

It is important to known that there are two versions of Firmware available for this mixer, then we explain hone to identify which one you should install.

Update mode
With the mixer off press and hold the System button, then tum on the mixer, you will see on the screen information condemn the version of the MCU that the mixer is currently using.

If the MCU Firmware version is V1 .0, the Firmware to install will be the version: (NE31548-DM24.8_Firmware_Utility20200428 V3.3)
Note: To obtain the Firmware visit the Top Pro website www.topppro.can section Mixer DM24.8.

The MCU Firm Wire version is V1 .1-V2-V3-V4, the Firm Wire to install will be the version:
(NE34511 DM24.8 Firmware Utility_20220001- v5.xv7.x’ld.x)
Note: To obtain the Firm Wire visit the Top Ro website www.topppro.CDm section Mixer DM24.8.

Start of Update
To start the update procedure, the update software must be downloaded and installed on the computer. Firmware Utility, explained in the previous points.

• After the software is installed, do double dick the DM24.8 Firmware Utility to open the software and enter the following interface, as shown:

• Click Refresh button to scan the device. And then the IP or COM address of the device will appear, depending on the connection method being used. Click the Connect button. If the status light is green, the device is connected correctly.

• Press the Update Firmware button, then the window shown below will appear, Select  Version, which should be selected depending on the hardware that your mixer has installed. To identify between the three versions, which one you should select, we will be guided by the serial number of your mixer.

IMPORTANT: Before updates the DM24.8. Please read these instructions:

• Identify the serial number located on the back panel of the mixer.
  This is important because the firmware version to be installed depends on the hardware version, which is identified by the serial number.

• Next, we give you the two editor options which contain the different firmware versions according to the serial number.

Make sure to install the correct firmware according to the serial number, otherwise the mixer may have problems or lose certain functions.

One the version to install has been identified, press Program and wait for the update to complete.
Then the mixer has been updated, the mixer screen will show that the update has been successful, so tum the mixer off and on again.
