Product Information
The percolator model is RCM015D and it is available in three variations:
- Model RCM015D-8B: Power consumption of 950W
- Model RCM015D-12B: Power consumption of 1650W
- Model RCM015D-25B: Power consumption of 2600W
The percolator operates on a voltage range of 220-240V at a frequency of 50/60Hz. It is made in China.
Product Usage Instructions
Please read the following instructions carefully before using the percolator:
- Ensure that the percolator is earthed before switching it on.
- Do not touch the outside of the appliance when it is in use as it becomes very hot.
- To turn off the appliance, switch the ON/OFF-switch to the OFF position and unplug the electric cable.
- Regularly clean the appliance to remove deposits and prevent damage to the metal.
General
- Installation, maintenance and use are to be carried out exclusively by authorised personnel.
- Have a service technician replace the power cord if this is visibly damaged.
- Never dip the appliance in water.
- Never switch on the appliance if there is no water in the tank.
- Always use the appliance on a dry, flat, heat−resistant surface, and make sure it is not placed on the edge.
- The apparatus is not to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
- Children being supervised not to play with the apparatus.
The appliance must be earthed
Installation
- Before using the appliance clean the filter unit, the tube and the inside of the tank with a non−abrasive detergent.
- Place the appliance on a flat solid surface.
- Place the tube and the filter unit inside the tank.
- Connect the plug of the appliance into an earthed wall socket (without switching it on).
The appliance is now ready fore use
The outside of the appliance becomes very hot when it is in use. DO NOT TOUCH!
Boiling the water
- Fill the appliance with cold water.
- Place the tube and the filter unit in the appliance.
- Make sure the base of the tube is correctly positioned in the hole situated at the base of the tank.
- Close the appliance using its lid.
- Switch on the appliance by turning the ON/OFF−switch to the ON position. The heating signal light should then go on.
- When about 3 cups of water remain in the tank, switch off the appliance by turning the ON/OFF−switch to the OFF position and unplugging the electric cable.
Thermostat security
The appliance is equipped with a thermal security. If the latter engages, the
appliance switches off automatically. If the appliance after approx. 20
minutes does not restart autocratically, please consult your dealer!
Heating up water for instant drinks
Fresh water can be heated up in the appliance for preparing instant drinks. Simply fill the cleaned appliance with COLD Fresh water up to the desired level according to the number of cups and place the tube and the filter unit in the correct position. Connect the plug into the earthed wall socket and turn the ON/OFF−switch to the ON position. The water will heat up. Switch it off and disconnect the plug when about 3 cups of water remains in the tank. When the appliance is used only for heating water, it must be thoroughly cleaned after use. This is in addition to the special weekly cleaning for which vinegar must be used so that the calcium deposits can be removed.
Do not use bicarbonate of soda to clean the appliance as this may permanently discolour and pit the metal.
