Placement of Receiver relevant to Transmitter
The best transmission of signal will be line of site and with least
obstructions (windows and wall).
Below is an illustration of best placement and how well the signal will
transmit to the receiver.
As long as the transmitter is wet it will continue to send signals to the
receiver. Knowing that the child is wearing this on their wrist there is a
excellent chance it will be in and out of the water, meaning the signal will
make it to the receiver alarm.
The receiver is weatherproof and will not be damaged by rain or splashes and
has a very loud alarmBest placement would be the green circle with a window
left open on the house.
If this is not a good option, then on the window seal with line of site to the
pool area (orange) will work.
Line of site (transmitter 1ft out of water : up to 150 ft.
Line of site (transmitter partially in water: up to 75 ft.
Line of site (transmitter under water 6 inches: up to 50ft
Obstructed by wall of pool (transmitter under water 6 inches): 35 ft
Receiver Placement:
Green: Best Placement – Alarm can be heard from all over
Orange: 2nd Best Placement – Behind window making sure line of site out of
window.
Red: Worst Placement – No line of site with house structure in the way, least
distance.
