Product Usage Instructions

1. Read the instruction manual carefully before using the appliance.
2. Disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning it.
3. Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable and flat surface.
4. Do not use the appliance outdoors or near potentially flammable surfaces.
5. Fill the kettle with water up to the MAX mark, taking care not to overfill.
6. To start boiling, press down the ON/OFF switch.
7. Never remove the lid during boiling.
8. Handle the appliance with caution, as boiling water and steam can cause serious burns.
9. Carefully handle the steam from the spout or lid.
10. After use, disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool before cleaning and storing.
11. Follow the recommended cleaning instructions provided in the manual.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Before operating this appliance, read the following instructions. Keep the manual in a safe place so you can consult it at any time.

• After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is in good condition, and if you have any questions, do not turn it on.

• Contact your distributor or seller for the return of the appliance.

• This device is packed for protection against any damage or damage that may be caused by transportation.

• The packaging is made up of plastics and other materials that can be dangerous. Keep out of reach of children. These materials are recyclable and must be delivered in a unit of the appropriate recycling, respecting the environmental laws.

• This appliance has been designed for DOMESTIC USE only and must not be used with any other appliance, such as for example in a commercial, industrial or any other non-residential installation.

• Do not handle the appliance with wet hands and do not immerse it in water or any other liquid.

• Unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning it.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Connect the device only to an AC power source. The voltage indicated on the rating plate that is on the device, must match the voltage of the power supply.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the socket after use, to disassemble or clean it.
• Always mount and use the appliance on a stable and secure surface.
• Never place the appliance on or near heat sources, such as a gas / electric stove or inside a hot oven. Keep the power cord away from these sources of heat or sharp objects.
• Never handle the power cord with wet hands.
• The use of accessories or parts not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a fire, an electric shock or serious injuries.
• This device is manufactured to be used indoors. Never use it outdoors or in outside parts of the house.

SPECIAL SAFETY

• You should always keep an eye on the appliance while it is in use!
• The metal parts on top will get hot. CAUTION OF BURN HAZARD!
• When you use the unit for the first time, it may emit smoke and/or create an odor. This smoke and smell are completely harmless, they will disappear after about 5-10 minutes of use.
• Do not install the unit next to flammable objects (for example, curtains, wood, etc.)

RUN

• Always place the appliance on a stable and flat surface. Boiling water and steam can cause severe burns.
• Do not handle any electrical element.
• Before connecting to the power outlet, make sure that the voltage indicated on the label located on the bottom of the base is the same as the voltage in your home. Otherwise, do not use the device and return it to your dealer.
• To avoid electrical hazards, never put the power base in water or any other liquid, and do not allow water to get on electrical parts.
• The exterior of the appliance will become very hot during use. You always have to be careful when handling it. Never touch/lift the appliance, once the water has boiled, by any part other than the handle.
• Always make sure the appliance is turned off before removing it from the power base. And that it is unplugged before cleaning it or when it is not in use.
• Be careful with the steam coming out of the spout or lid.
• This appliance is designed for normal household use only. It should not be used for anything other than its intended purpose.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors.
• Do not place the appliance on or near surfaces that are potentially inflammable or that are affected by heat, for example: wood, plastic, curtains, the oven…
• Do not let the power cord touch hot surfaces or become entangled.
• Do not use this appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, or if the appliance malfunctions or is damaged in any way. Check power cord regularly for signs of damage/wear.
• Do not open the lid while the kettle is boiling. Watch out for the steam that comes out once it’s done.
• Do not fill the kettle above the MAX mark. Boiling water may splatter if overfilled.
• The appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. This appliance is designed for use in domestic applications such as: kitchen areas, offices, and other work environments; country houses; for clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments.

STARTED

1. Always remove the kettle from the electric base before filling it.
2. Lift the cover.
3. Fill the kettle with cold water between the MIN and MAX marks on the water level indicator.
4. Replace the lid and place the kettle back on the electric base. Make sure the lid is tightly closed before you bring it to a boil.
5. Plug the power base into the wall outlet and turn it on at the mains.
6. To start boiling, press the ON/OFF switch down.
7. The power indicator will light up and the kettle will begin to boil.
   • NEVER REMOVE LID DURING BOILING.
8. When the water has boiled, the kettle will automatically turn off and the power indicator will turn off.
9. You can stop the boiling process at any time by pressing the switch to the OFF position.
10. After the kettle automatically shuts off, there may be a short delay before it can resume boiling. This is usually no more than 20 seconds.
11. The safety switch will work if you accidentally turn on the kettle when it is empty or if you let it dry out. Wait 15 minutes for the switch to reset before refilling with cold water and bringing to a boil.

CLEANING

1. Always unplug the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool down completely before storing or cleaning.
2. Never immerse any part of the power cord, plug, power base or kettle in water or any other liquid.
3. Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Dry well. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as they can damage the finish of your kettle.
4. Over a period of time, scale can build up inside your kettle. To descale, fill the kettle halfway with water and add the juice of one lemon. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it sit for 15 minutes before throwing it away. You can repeat it several times with cold water as well.

Safety, as insertion into a 13 amp socket could cause an electrical hazard.
